Yes, I thought it was good and entertaining. I like fictionalized historical dramas. I don´t think this is your average palace drama. It was one of the first C-dramas I watched because someone online recommended it, based om my liking I the actor Justin Yuan Hong with long hair. It is the fictionalized story of princess Liu Jieyou as heqin during Han dynasty. The historical female Feng Liao is also one of the characters.

I´m in the middle of episode 4. Very lovely to watch. Enjoying this light drama with 40 plus actors as leads. Besides ZhuZhu, I especially like supporting actress Zhang Yao (her appearance reminds me a bit of Tang Wei) . Wallace Huo Jian Hua is great in roles as men with some kind of disorder, be it narcissism, Asperger-Autism or ´Cold Face´. The young actors are great too.

I never get the point of the cancelling of a complete film or series, because of minor things. One of my favorite actors, Zhao Lixin.

I would like to know which actress plays the mother Tang Lan. According to Wikipedia her name is Bai Xue. She is mentioned in the MDL cast list as guest role, without mentioning any character. However, I´m not sure if all this is correct. Anybody knows?

Ning Ying did more films, at least Zhao Le, aka For Fun, aka Looking for fun, abt 1993-1994. Did not yet find where to watch this one. It got positive reviews.

Somehow I `found´ a Taiwanese actor with a very interesting face, Van Fan. He seems different from the usual, too polished looking pretty actors in contemporary C-dramas. Curious, I checked his work, and got interested by the storyline of Port of Lies, judging from the MDL resumé . Read the reviews, and despite some criticism, it seems promising. Will watch.
