Korea is in the worst possible capitalistic hellhole. There's no fixing that country, most citizens are just evil
What does capitalism have to do with it? Or maybe you think there has been no real pedophiles in communist or socialist or theocratic countries? How about Angola and the Philippines where age of consent is 12?

Am I the only one who thinks it's crazy that such an association exists, "Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association",…
SKorea celebrity culture is utterly sick. The expectations and scrutiny they force on actors is criminal. I am sick to death of their so called "scandals", of their driving people off the cliff. Their "public" is like a pack of rabid dogs tearing people apart. At this rate they will demolish their world celebrated drama industry in another year.

People on the internet seem to like bulling people, and always hide under some sort of 'high moral' justification for driving people to despair. What a culture!

She didn't blackmail him. If she ever did his agency would've exposed it. She did that because she was so desperate.…
Thanks for explaining what "Certification contents" is. As to being exploited, desperate and the rest,, that goes to her possible state of mind, but I am trying to understand facts only and the sequence of events. Why are you saying she was underpaid? For what and how?

I am completely confused, maybe it is bad translation, but are they saying , she tried to get in touch with him/GM because of her money situation, they wanted to do nothing with her , so she started to blackmail him by publishing a picture?

What does "certification of contents " mean and what is important about the second one? And where was she supposed to be moving on Feb 18?

According to the Korean Times "On Saturday, the YouTube channel HoverLab released additional statements from Kim Sae-ron’s family, demanding that Kim Soo-hyun acknowledge and apologize for their relationship while Kim Sae-ron was underage.

That doesn't make sense to me. If what they want is an apology then they believe that the alleged relationship was platonic - which means there was no crime. Whether they dated when she was under 16 or not is unclear, so it is an allegation. It is not even a "he said she said" situation, because unfortunately she is now gone. It is an allegation by third parties.

I am not sure why he needs to apologies for "not admitting" to the relationship later - Is there a law or a societal rule that a celebrity MUST admit to a relationship because a journalist or a fan asks? Don't celebs in Korea often try to keep even their perfectly normal relationships very private?

Then the Korea Times writes:
"They also called for an official apology from Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, for failing to acknowledge Kim Sae-ron’s contributions as a founding member of the company. Additionally, they requested an apology for sending Kim Sae-ron a notice demanding the repayment of 700 million won ($482,396)." - ?

What made her a founding member?

RE-payment of 700 million ? By all accounts she had no money and that is why she was trying to get in touch with him and GM? So how did she pay it in the first place? Or is the family after getting a half a million dollars out of her death and the scandal?

Things don't quite aligned and make sense.

this drama is very very loopsided, the ML had much much worse traumas, loss of a mother while the father was negligent,…
Yes, and it is endemic in dramas.

Title The Best Thing Spoiler
I don't understand China. Ep 17 : the frigging jerk barges into a treatment room, and behaves like some mafia boss who came to claim territory. In any Western country they would call security and have his ass thrown out. The way ML handles it is cute and great, but it is beyond bizarre that even an arrogant SOB-stalker like her ex would behave that way to start with. Is it socially accepted?

grooming does not need to have sexual relationship, the fact that he waited for her to become adult says more…
No, we shouldn't undermine, but somehow I doubt this was the case here. Of course in real life things are never as squeaky clean and innocent as they are in c-dramas, relationships are messy, and relationships of public figures are particularly so. But Korean 'public opinion" world is toxic, and to my mind inhumanly cruel.

She just got out of a long term and honestly quite abusive relationship. It was also her first serious romantic…
I worked with abuse victims in real life, so I have a clue what real victims go through. This is a fluff show with a made up break up filler to stretch extra episodes. If you find this kind of drama writing compelling it is fine, everybody have their own taste. Personally I find this trite and lazy. And she is not a victim, btw. Not in real life meaning of the word.

None of that makes her behavior any less idiotic. Everybody has traumas. Sure her x- was a piece of shit, and she stayed with him for 7 years and put up with it - which is idiotic. Anyway. I do understand what is going on in her head, I just don't find her behavior very smart, or honorable.

I understand some people found this doctor-patient relationship is so gross. But remember both of them is mature…
Some people live to be to be morally outraged about something, they find most of human relationships gross, all they want is pollyanna . I just block them, have no patience left for that kind of crap.

Endure it and you will find the jackpot later 🤣
It is moody , atmospheric, with an ambiguous ending. The subject matter is not simple, her character is young and very strong. It is also visually extremely beautiful.

She was amazing in Forbidden Flower - but FF is a bit unusual drama.
