Agreed, it is down to being able to connect or not. I liked the ambiguity, that they were flawed humans, that you had to pay attention to details. I also liked the art part, that they both were artists and talented. In the end Nabi did her absolute best work with him - they were exceptional together as artists - it said a lot to me. Black Sail is good , and scary, and cruel, and humane, and incredibly complex. Nevertheless is not on the same level of course , not even close. 😁 Thanks for the recommendation, I will look Normal People up.

Everything has a life lesson for someone. You can derive a life lesson from watching 2 dogs playing on the street. Life lessons, like beauty, are in the eyes of the beholder. You have expressed your opinion on the show, I happen to disagree with it - it is in the eyes of the beholder. Naming a show where good guys don't win? We probably watch very different shows, but here is one: Black Sails.

Supposed to? Is there a rule somewhere? Movies are a story telling art form, like books. Really great literature and movies are seldom about good / bad guys winning/loosing; and life lessons they suggest provoke thought, and give us an opportunity to see something human in a different light, not to sit in judgement and condemnation. I am not saying this show is great art , but it was trying to break out of 'morality tale" predictable boring format.

Drama is not a personal counselor to give relationship advice, nor a therapist, nor a best friend. If a person can get mentally destroyed by a drama they probably need all of the above big time. But it is not the dramas fault regardless.

100% I think the show asked a question in the first few scenes What is love ? And answered: love is not one size fits all. Love is different for everyone, and a strong physical attraction is often scary and confusing, but that doesn't make passion less compelling than a cosy safe relationships. People put a lot of judgements on relationships, expecting them to comply to some standard, as if love was a dyson hairdryer designed to perform to specs, or a lunch chosen from a menu. But often love chooses us, and we have to figure out our own feeling, fears, doubts, gossip, and each other regardless of the general 'standards", and more often than not go agains opinions of others.

Chun Seung Won - the show host guy. The scene where they were hiding from him in Joo Young Do bedroom, and he would just not leave made me feel a little murderous :) I am joking of course.

This drama is so heartbreaking and heartwarming, sweet and bitter. The only thing, I wish I could throttle his idiot friend 😄
