Hallmark movies are so one dimensional. There is definitely a lot more depth here. American Christmas Special…
"Hallmark " was meant as a euphemism. There is a slew of American dramas with the exact same type of plot, same character dynamics ,and the same set of locals. No need to diss American movies either, :) they are no more shallow or one dimensional than the majority of Korean romcoms with idiotic plot lines.
It is cute. But boy, it is all k-drama tropes married to all Hallmark tropes. Big city clueless meets heart of gold small town. They have not skipped a single cliché so far. It's like watching an American Christmas special set in Korea.
With low rating of 1% there's no way there'll be a s2 unless the writers are on crack. 😂
Yes, I did like it, it was fun, stylish, and a different, if a little dark by the end. Writing was good, acting was very good, mostly. I am saying mostly because slapstick comedy is not my cup of tea, but that is just my personal preference.

I don't think there will be season 2 because the story is told. The drama is extremely popular worldwide. I personally have a lot of respect for the creative team and the actors for taking the risk of making this drama. It broke a lot of clichés and provoked a lot of clashes of opinions which is a great achievement imo. Sure it is not perfect - but nothing is., but is was daring for k-drama. I am thinking of how most of innovative works of art had been dissed and denounced by the public at their time, only to become classics later. I hope the writers and especially actors are proud of their work, and don't lose their nerve to do new kind of dramas because of all the rubbish opinions directed at them, and some people just being cruel.
lol jae eon stayed a jerk until the end didn't he? when the girls approached him and asked for his number and…
LOL! No, he didn't stay a jerk. As long as we are on the subject, why do people think he owes some strangers an explanation of his relationship status? Replying 'I have plans" is probably the most polite way to say 'F**off." I don't get it, why is it OK for a flock of squealing girls to accost a stranger on a street and ask for his number just because he looks hot? If a group of men behaved that way they would be accused of sexual harassment.
Agree!! Except that it IS toxic. Well, he is toxic. I'm just so annoyed, either everyone is hating on cliché…
To start with She kissed him first. Later he and Na Bi were not in a committed relationship of any kind. There was no promises made and no expectation stated until the last ep. So claiming cheating is out of place. Except he wasn't sleeping with anyone else while with her anyway. He invited a woman at the bar who was hitting on him to see his butterflies when NaBi ditched him. SHE disappeared without a word (which she had done many times) , she would not respond to his text asking to talk, she was living in her head, nursing her fears and mistrust, and not giving him any opening to explain. And it was NaBi who was getting involved with her childhood friend. Or do you think that because there was no sex with the virginal potato boy it doesn't count, but PJO's friendship with S does? More over, it was Na Bi who made a condition the relationship remained a secret. He told her he was attracted to her time and again, he told her he wanted to see her, he literally told her, and everybody else, he found his soulmate - she assumed it was about S without even asking him. He finally even told her he fell in love at first sight at the exhibit - but NaBi was so full of doubt and fear and mistrust, she managed to dismiss it, and assumed he was talking about someone else. She was so fixated on the formula "I like you" and 'Dating" that she had missed everything else. Not even once she told him she wanted him - all he got from her was "have fun with someone else," "I am not that kind of person", "you are a jerk", and the disappearances. It took a fever for her to blurt out that she wanted him around. He is cagy, in love for the first time, relies way too much on the physical, and with all his popularity probably starved for real affection. She is extremely mistrustful, stuck between her actual attraction, what she thinks is a proper way to be in a relationship, and what others think. She is not a victim, she is a young and feisty girl who is exploring her feelings, freedom of choice, her own strength and her own desires . They both are. There is nothing toxic about any of it, it is life, art, and self knowledge.

LOL! Toxic" is become one of the most overused and misused words in English language. No, he is not toxic. He is young, virile, extremely attractive, and most likely protective of his feelings because of the way he grew up. The only toxic jerk in the drama is her EX, who literally manipulated her at every moment, controlled her , lectured her, and violated her by exposing her naked body and her butt for the whole world to see WITHOUT HER CONSENT!!!
Lol, what’s happening to the comment section? Is everything okay? Anyways, the show was BORING. I stopped watching…
Skipping 3/4 of a drama would make one confused with the ending. 😏 She goes back because she missed him. Because she is attracted to him like crazy. Because he is exceptionally talented, smart, hot, and and got attracted to her at first glance, AND has bailed her butt time and again out of manor and major disasters. But mostly because she stopped lying to herself and everybody else about her feelings and desires, and stop confusing cliché cute romance with the real force of attraction to another human being.
Actually in the first. But it is up to the viewer to notice it. The story telling is such that you have to pay very close attention to small details, and pay close attention to what other characters say and why they say it. A lot is left to interpretation on purpose, because "public opinion" is a major force in this drama, and most of the public opinion is sour grapes from girls who couldn't get the popular gorgeous ML for themselves, envy, jealousy, and some misunderstanding, and some due to his own cagy habit of not explaining anything in words.
The ML has no feelings. He is a snake. His last move to win over the FL with a drawing of her watching a sculpture…
In the span of a very short conversation you chose to tell me that I was wrong every time my opinion didn't fit yours. To start with it is disrespectful. Secondly it is repetitive. And lastly it makes the discussion pointless. So lets just be done.

I happen to make my own mind about things. "Others" can have their own take on this show, I will still have mine. The ending was somewhat questionable. The fact that rating plummeted is probably due to the "others" wanting her to stay with the potato boy, like in the webtoon. But whatever. Time to A2D.

LOL. MDL ranking is not something I for one would consider as ultimate measure of artistic worth of anything. The way some of the dramas are ranked here is just strange. You didn't like it and find it crappy - which is fine. But please don't tell others who do like it their opinion is wrong.

It is the 7th most popular show worldwide. As Pierce Conran wrote in his review "As Viewers labelling it as toxic are only calling attention to their own conservative values." So...

"The ML has no feelings. He is a snake." - that is utter nonsense, it is obvious that he is more than feeling. , But you are entitled to your opinion of course.
I love this drama . It is perfectly paced, suspenseful, love story is touching, villains are smug and smart. FM lead is adorable and she doesn't play cute, she is cute, smart ,and full of life. ML is fantastic. His acting is a cut above. Supporting characters are well written and very well acted.
Pretty much all main actors except for the doctor has changed from season 1 to season 2, so do they have any connection?…
Yes, they do. You can understand what is going on without watching 1, but not all of it. Also in my opinion season 1 is stronger and is worth watching.
I really like this drama, season 1 in particular; but I so wish they would lighten up on playing cute. It feels so fake and silly in ER where lives are at stake. Granted I am not Korean, and my general tolerance for baby talk, pouting, and grown women behaving like a caricature 3 year olds is limited. But in a professional and ER settings it is just downright ridiculous . The FL was beyond annoying.
