Qi Min character frustrates me to no end. A disgusting hypocrite. His principles are a joke.
Qi Min on one hand cannot and will not accept the princess’s forced one sided love. He resents her for trying to trap him with a sham marriage. Even while dying in her arms Qi Min refused her love for him. Not one bit faulting Qi Min for rejecting the princess which he has every right to do so since feelings between them aren’t mutual.
BUT, on the other hand Qi Min is more than happy/willing to subject his one sided love onto Female Lead. Mind you this is a woman who is separated from her lover(ML) through extreme circumstances, is currently pregnant with ML’s child, and arranged to marry Qi Min against her free will in order to save her family from being killed. To make it worse this woman was aware of Qi Min feelings in the first place but chose to be with someone else(ML). Qi Min knew this fact and knew he would have to beg for love in this marriage. What is especially disgusting is how Qi Min expected something to happen at wedding night. He wouldn’t even spare her some time to come to term with her unresolved feelings for her ex-lover or wait until she is willing. I was happy to see Qi Min crashing out and pathetically crying when he found out his bride has been swapped lol. Such a HYPOCRITE. Only befitting of his character to try to do the right thing when he is certain things will not go as he had hoped for, and throw away his life at the end. Can’t expect much from a character without an ounce of self respect or self awareness.
Another Jeremiah Fisher of Sml. Try to force your way in between two people that like each other and cries about it when you’re inevitably forced out. Just like Jere using all the cheap tricks and only ever saw FL as a prize.
Went through some comments and honestly some what concerning people are not only having Sml syndrome but are misogynist towards Fl. Like what?? God forbid a woman chooses to be with a guy she likes while never leading on the other guy.
We have here the classic flirting while handsome and harassment while ugly. I could only assume pretty privilege as to why a lot of people in the comments let slide behaviors of this red flag galore of a Sml.
If these are not red flags, idk what is (just to list a few) 1.) Randomly inserted himself into almost every aspect of FL life 2.) Cannot take NO for an answer , his ego won’t allow it 3.) Telling people what kind of relationship they can and can’t have with FL 4.) Looking like he wants to hurt someone or something whenever FL interacts with ML 5.) Possessiveness of FL when they’re just friends at best (claiming she’s his gf , wife to be, etc) 6.) An opportunist (kissing FL while she’s drunk) 7.) Can’t take No for an answer
Honestly so much more and fyi apparently if you like someone and just happen to save their life, remember that person owe it to themselves to be with you. Plus if you’re going kiss someone while they are drunk enough to black out, make it look hot so that people will cheer you on and say you two have so much chemistry
FL put in more effort into being with Sml and the other older teacher she confessed to and was rejected than the ML. It seemed after their reunion FL only ended up with ML because he was doing all the chasing and the script says so. A disservice to their younger selves where you can truly see effort on both sides hence better chemistry.
Pathetic Sml. Disgusting character to say the least. He had all the time to tell FL (his best friend apparently) that he likes her but doesn’t. Assuming he was afraid of ruining their friendship why try to confess after FL tells him she has a boyfriend now (actually isolate FL to confess but interruptedby ML ). And to make the matter worse first sign of real trouble between the lead relationship this PATHETIC Sml actually confesses that he loves FL but when FL doesn’t take it seriously he tries to play it off as a joke. The same scene when Sml sees ML coming he goes on and hugs FL without consent and tries to take her away from ML (FL doesn’t go with Sml and runs off to find ML to reconcile). And the worst of all, being bitter, pathetic and getting rejected wasn’t enough this Sml has the audacity to go up to ML and tells him he’s now entrusting his best friend (FL) with ML , and that ML should treat her right. Such hypocrisy trying to score moral points as if he wasn’t a p.o.s all along.
A bit of a let down between main couple. They were communicating and supporting each other so well since the start until they decided not to about halfway through. They let other people dictate their lives to the point where they can’t even be friends. Mind u they went from strangers to being good friends since the beginning (ep1). It was love at first sight but subtle. They were inching closer to each other ep by ep. But all this build up was somewhat ruined by them not communicating openly all the sudden and SML (a creep btw). Sml manipulates and lies to FL pretty much since the start but it got worse. I get that they have to use Sml to get jealous moments and get our MC together but for about 5eps before MC confess their feelings to each other Sml hands were all over FL. He (sml) holds, touches, carries and even saves FL. And of course our poor ML witness all of it and be a sad boi for like 5eps straight. It just felt a bit too much even though FL only has eyes for ML. Everything mentioned above and their(MC) mutual friend literally having to drag both of them by the neck to get them to confirm their feelings just cheapens what was going to be a beautiful friends to lovers sort of relationship.
