In the First frost novel, he goes to visit Sang Zhi and he finds out she's dating Dian Jiaxu. He kinda complains about it to Wen Yifan, saying his friend betrayed him and that his sister doesn't have time for him. They are already dating at that point.


Because he meets with Sang Zhi on his own, we don't find out if he told Sang Zhi he's dating Wen Yifan.
