The time is moving quicker than it seems, Sang Yan and Wen Yifan have been living together for like half a year? A year? Idk. Sang Zhi is probably about to enter university or she's already at the university. I already said this but they are kinda bad at showing time passing by in this drama cuz if you ask me, it's been a month of them living together
And are you sure they are 27 in the drama, I think Wen Yifan was celebrating her 24th birthday in the novel, could be wrong tho.
AND I'm pretty sure they changed the age gap in HL, so it was smaller.

Basically, I don't know it's all over the place and they might've changed some things, like the timeline.

In the novel:

After they get together, at some point Sang Yan will visit Yihe and that's when he finds out who his sister is dating. So at that point in HL, when Sang Yan comes to visit, he is already dating Wen Yifan.
