She had to let go of the entire future Sang Yan and her had planned out but it had no affect on her whatsoever.

But he probably sees this as a once in a lifetime opportunity, that's why he is dropping everything to stay at home, playing videogames but actually spying on Wen Yifan from the couch and checking what she's doing. And also, we're not really following his day to day life, we only see him when he's with her.

She't not boring at all, my girl is so funny. I love how Sang Yan and Wen Yifan tease each other, they know each other so well and feel at ease with one another. Just because she isn't a bubbly person doesn't mean she's boring
In the novel I don't think Sang Yan watched the horror movie at home.
