Simple, sincere, heart-warming, realistic and fun. As you described it, these are indeed the main characteristics one finds in Jdrama in general, this one included. I'd call this a thematic review as it seems more focused on the sociocultural concepts & underlying structure rather than acting, music, or settings.. It also has a comparative aspect, as you talk abt the similitudes/contrast between those three families representing different colors of the JP family between traditional/modern and conservative/liberal, etc. It's nice that you shed the light on important social themes, instead of only discussing the cutesy romance or the worrisome angst.. Need i also mention how your writings nicely encompass both personal enjoyment and numerous aspects of the drama as a whole.
