Would've loved to watch this if it didn't have yet ANOTHER adultery story. Like come on! JP (it's always either cheating or death) you're ruining romance with that sh*t.
Dunno what's with JP & crazy, obsessive, stalkerish third-wheels that seduce taken men? Can't they have two couples instead or someone normal as SFL? tsk tsk tsk
Simple, sincere, heart-warming, realistic and fun. As you described it, these are indeed the main characteristics one finds in Jdrama in general, this one included. I'd call this a thematic review as it seems more focused on the sociocultural concepts & underlying structure rather than acting, music, or settings.. It also has a comparative aspect, as you talk abt the similitudes/contrast between those three families representing different colors of the JP family between traditional/modern and conservative/liberal, etc. It's nice that you shed the light on important social themes, instead of only discussing the cutesy romance or the worrisome angst.. Need i also mention how your writings nicely encompass both personal enjoyment and numerous aspects of the drama as a whole. It's pleasant to read such a comprehensive -yet personal- review. あなた は うまく やった !
"It's got soul" THIS! I enjoyed seeing the characters as i too remember ALL of their names and their woldviews. Also LOVED Mamoru as she's so personable! Her goodness is dully appreciated. From without, as the way she speaks, walks, her hairdo, dresses, her wardrobe. And within, as her ideology, work ethics, her hardworking but kind nature, as well as her high values & strong principles are all praise-worthy. She's just relatable in her reactions too. She feels like a "real" person, which is smth extremely rare for campy content FLs. I couldn't agree more about the redundant part of this, but the second part took a free-fall ( i haven't watched the last 3 eps) as the post-wedding aspect was underwhelming.
Loved reading your review this time as well. It's as if there's a slightly playful yet warm underlying tone in your "narration". It made me smile 🤭
Loved her acting in "Better Days". She's very expressive.
Wouah the amount of movies she starred in since is impressive!!
So did homeboi become a ghost, a zombie or a hallucination? :'D
もちろん です! Sending ♥ your way Maritza-chan ;D
