Also what you thought is a possibility, but then they were all outside when the search happened. Guess episode 8 will give us the answer.

Maybe they weren't searching for the 1979 case? I think what they are after is specifically the memorandum, in which Uncle agreed to being responsible for the arson.

I am wondering that too! Did Ji Ah take notice of it too late? But she's so careful about her job, it's unlikely. I think it must have something to do with the mystery surrounding Uncle and Mum, and since HJA has been investigating the case, Ms Joo tried to hide the truth.

can someone explain to me the ending of episode 7
So basically it looks like the antagonist is after a file or something related to the uncle, and probably sent his people to go through the things of those who work at Daebak Realty. And Hong Ji-Ah finds that the file from 1979 is missing, which Ms Joo has a hold of.

Hong Ji Ah probably can't resist him which is why woman is already opening up to him. And he looooves that, you can see it on his face. He is such a puppy.

Me: Let's be reasonable, the plot doesn't really need a romance and the story isn't openly aiming for it either
Also Me: ?! What's the point if In Beom doesn't end up losing his virginity---

Oh and now I'm wondering how the angst will affect their relationship! I hope it helps them grow closer.

is this worth watching? just started and so far, it has just been so-so for me.
The starting was so so for me too - the first two episodes were really forming the basis for the storyline and explained some rituals. It picks up pace and becomes interesting each episode. I always end up loving the newer episode compared to the previous one.

I adore, adore, adore their harmless bickering. In Beom is weak for her, all right! And now that he knows she cares about his safety, he won't let her live it down. He LOVES being the cause of her unexpected actions. He is such a fanboy. Have to love this rascal.

I believe I MUST gush over In Beom and Ji-Ah here. When they both had drinks together, In Beom was definitely flirting with her when he said, "Are you trying to make my heart flutter?" (Yes, I firmly believe he is in awe of her, including as a woman; really, who isn't in love with HJA at this point?) He is making the moves, reaching out to her, and clinking their beer cans together. And Ji-Ah accepts it with a little smile. GOSH!!! She is cozying up to him in her own way by talking about herself, which she only probably does with Ms Joo. They are giving me butterflies, and I was the viewer who, up until last week, was fine with no romance. Someone, save me ;_;

I love the romance they have great chemistry
The preview for the next episode shows an instant where In Beom calls Ji-Ah cute AND tells her to grab on to his hand. And she listens! They give me butterflies.

I have to! It is so hard to take characters and their jobs seriously if they aren't dressed properly for it. And you have just convinced me to watch Mystic Pop Up Bar ASAP!

To me she does not seem like the character from Hotel Del Luna at all! I think the first episode does lead people to believe that. (And isn't "harpy" too sexist a term?)

Your review pushed me to watch this when I was hesitating, and I eventually gave in - after all, it had Ma Si Chun.

So, if I understood it right, Secretary Joo is the kind of person who killed her own kids because she was selfish??
It appears so, though I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt. She must have confessed under pressure.

Fair enough. A good story and good writing doesn't have to be complicated or original (though I'd argue it's pretty unique in its own way), however.
