I sense some upcoming character growth from Seo Do Kyun but strangely enough, I am not caring one bit. Still hating…
Yes, I feel Seo Do Kyun will make choices in the favour of the leads, but I am not so sure, considering how selfish he is. I also don't care about him one bit. Manipulated into it or not, he chose to give up his morality.
So it seems the second half is concerned with solving the mystery of missing mother and kidnapped daughter, not about finding them. I thought I would not like the shift, but I think I do now after episode 10. I did not want certain things to be undone as it had increased the the tension, but then the situation was helpless if that had not been the case. I just didn't enjoy the increased screentime of the antagonists
I want to point out how, although So Jin is rather aloof, he is caught up in an abusive marriage. His wife constantly makes efforts to prevent their daughter from bonding with him, uses his weaknesses against him during arguments, and now will try to use his PTSD against him. It's so sad to witness. Sure, he was an aloof partner to an extent, and overworked himself, and there was lack of communication, but he was still... considerate in his own way. She's outright mean.
I feel so much for Kim Seo Jin - Shin Sung Rok is incredible. He made me hate his character in Last Empress with everything I had, and here I am finding myself rooting for him. Not to mention Lee Se Young - she makes her characters her own.
Ummm... the rating dropped like anything. This show is better than the rating suggests. I am on episode 5 and I haven't cursed someone so much as much as I did after the "revelation"
I am lost for words after watching this on what i feel about this drama. I really appreciate that this drama determined…
I love your comment! The director and actors communicated the essence of the drama well but unfortunately a part of the audience was more focused on the revenge than the actual narrative. The take on the topics addressed here wasn't black and white and they really showed the factors that motivate certain choices and their consequences really well. The audience are shown these things and we are left to interpret the situations. It did the showing pretty well
Fast forwarding through it for the main couple moments only. The rest of the plot is easy to figure out from a few glimpses here and there. I would say the overarching plot is really not exciting and... admittedly boring. But I am here for a single guy play house with a single mother and her son!
This was such a wholesome, sweet watch! I loved that the love triangle was basically tension less, the men were friendly with each other, and Hyun Sung has to be one of the best person to be friends and lovers with. I adored the ending - many called it an open ending, but I think it was very obvious from the choice she made in the end about who she deemed more important for herself.
