On Love You Teacher May 10, 2026
This show was entertaining until Episode 9 where they have a father run away twice and then he says "I have been holding onto these things from your mom for you." Why run if you have something to give your son (if you ever see him again) and then oh boy, lets find a key to a toy box that you just happen to bring along in the car and find a letter that exonerates both father and son from guilt and happy memories are all restored and then Sun/Solar says " I know you did everything for me and mom." Seriously, your father (abandoned you in a hospital) did nothing for you for years and you hugged the cowardly jerk.

It is getting ridiculous how many parents get a pass on these shows no matter how horrible they are.

This episode was very anti-climatic and disappointing.

To everyone mentioning (or wanting to mention) the obvious topic in the drama about grooming, or other things…
This is a classic example of a passive-aggressive comment. You allude to "the obsessive angered kid " in the comments, but never mention a name. Very cowardly not to address the person directly. You also address your comment in regards to the "obvious topic" of grooming to everyone who agrees with you. You are trying to stir up a group of folks and out to hang someone because they disagree with you and even go so far as saying this angry kid is projecting some sort of rage bait, but isn't that what you are doing with this comment?

Passive-aggressive comments are indirect expressions of hostility, resentment, or anger designed to avoid direct confrontation while undermining others. Like I said, your post is a classic example of just that.

it definitely has too many loose ends but the hype is 🫩🫩.. the bar is really low nowadays ig..they did this…
I hope you are right about season 2, but I am not holding my breath. Too many times I have heard rumors about second seasons of shows that have never come to fruition.

I just read this:
As of May 1, 2026, Sammy's Children's Day concludes its 9-episode first season, with hints of a second season circulating rather than an official announcement. While fan buzz suggests potential future filming, official platforms like GagaOOlala have not confirmed a renewal.

Just a heads up before more of y’all say you were “disappointed” we are getting a season 2 and the cast…

Very disappointing and so hard to rate a series without a confirmed 2nd season based only on a first season that is incomplete. It could have ended better or at least make 12 episodes and tie up some endings. Bangkok Boy did a good job with their first season and I look forward to the second one, but at least in the first season major issues were tied up.

Based on early 2026 content surrounding Only Friends: Dream On, Aou Thanaboon's nose piercing appears to be part of his character styling for that show rather than a permanent real-life piercing.

Sorry, I actually googled the nose ring and they say it is not real, only for the show to make Rome more edgy. Sorry for the deleted post, I only meant to edit it.

I am not going to lie, that ending left me feeling very ambivalent about this 9 episode series. There were just too many loose ends and without a confirmation of a season two, it is hard to rate this as a stand alone series. I gave it a 7 out of 10 but if there is no second season, then I will have to drop my rating to about a 3 out of 10 and that is only for the lead's chemistry and the kiss at the end.

Title First Love
Nice fairy tale, but a bit unrealistic. Rarely do most people reunite with their first love.
Believe it or not. I know quite a few people who have gotten together with their first loves and married each other after meeting again at their school class reunion. After doing a quick search it says: Research finds that 40-50 percent of people have reunited with an ex to start a new relationship. Fairy tales do happen. 🙂

I am about to start this series and came to read the comments/reviews first, so my expectations are not super high, but I look forward to seeing another series with Takeru Satoh in it as the main lead.

Is it just me or does episode 7 have a rumbly a/c noise constantly in the background? I don't remember noticing…
Yes, it is still there while I watch episode 7 today. It is annoying.

I would rather be weird and strange as fuck (and the other words that have been hurled at me in the comments section below) than be part of the sheep that are following each other off the cliff. I am glad I can think outside the box and not be confined by a generalization of society's morality that apparently only comprehend things in black/white with no shades of grey or nuance for critical thinking and evaluating each circumstance individually.

It is common for audiences to have vastly different, even contradictory, interpretations of the same show People actively interpret stories based on their own experiences, cultural background, and current mental state. The phenomenon where people watch the same event and see two entirely different things is well-documented, sometimes separating into most common thinking and radically different thinking.

We are all watching the same show and while most in this case, perceive the tutor (Kanda) is a predator, I see him differently.

I am focused on Akira being saved, my brain is processing the cues the director has given me and I see that the tutor saved Akira, while the rest of you may be looking for, and therefore finding, proof of malicious intent.

It's like reading a text and based on my life experiences, values, morals and beliefs may make me more prone to laughing at it, while others might perceive the text as threatening or rude.

I happen to love Ricky Gervais the comedian, but a lot of people think he goes too far. When he went after the bad guys (like politicians, religious figures that the masses did not approve of), everyone cheered /loved him, but now that he goes after the marginalized fringes of society people vilify him. I find him hilarious and take the joke for what it is, a joke and not some hidden agenda/conspiracy theory or malicious intent on Ricky's part that he is trying to convey. It's just a joke.

I think this is a perfect example of where people are doubling down in the comments section on an interpretation of a character (the Tutor) simply because everyone else is and it makes the majority feel justified and morally superior in vilifying those who disagree with the mob mentality.

...but getting back to the show. I am super excited for the final episode next week and I do hope the leads (Kanata and Akira) can work it out and have their happy ending because I do love happy endings. I am at a point in my life where I do not find romantic tragedies entertaining. Give me a happy, romantic ending every time, please.

in many countries a consent of minor can count. You can dislike it, but you should have arguments. The age of…
@Slayergirl
In fact, because it is legal, it does make it right. Who is to say what is and what is not morally right when it comes to consensual sex between two people. If the law says it is okay and you are saying it is not, then go and start a campaign to change the law, but inflicting your morality onto someone when the law says it is okay, that, in my opinion is wrong.

Does anyone else suspect that the asshole student who flirted with Akira and then turned on him is a closet case…
I think the student totally led Akira on with his questions and innuendo's and for him to feign disgust when Akira went further to say dating a friend would be great (I paraphrased here because I cannot remember exactly how Akira phrased it) was a bit much and screamed closet case. Then the same friend/student bullying Akira afterwards to the point that Akira dropped out of school that again screamed overcompensating and fear of anyone finding out the student was in fact at the very least gay curious himself.

So, in other words. I took the long way in saying "I agree with you wholeheartedly."
