Listen I completely respect your opinion but considering how much time we as viewers invest in watching these dramas, “watchable” is no longer good enough for someone like JJY! As a fan you want longevity for their careers and remaining watchable and not improving your craft is a quick way to ensuring there’s no fruitfulness in your career. Don’t get me wrong I like her, I just expect more from her now! Same way I feel for all my FL Wu Jinyan, Zhao Lu Si, Liu Yufei and more! I want them to surprise us with each role they take on not play the exact same character in different eras! But if you would like me to recommend some truly engaging dramas that don’t fall into the just watchable heading let me know! Lol

Of course your perspective matters and is relevant! This is a discussion not an argument so we’re all free to agree or disagree. I’ve read through some of the comments on this page and a lot of people hold similar sentiments to mine and others to yours. I think this is due to being in different journeys of our cdrama love. When I initially first started watching cdramas, a show like In Blossom would have had been HOOKED, but I’m far behind that point now. I see the plot holes and the lame plot excuses to prolong a drama that doesn’t need to be prolonged. As a fan, I’m investing my time into watching and following these actors journeys and as entertainers, I believe they have a responsibility to grow in their art form. As I previously mention JJY has remained effectively FLAT in her craft… frustratingly so! It is unfair to the viewers. This character has so much potential and tbh I would have loved her to remain the bitchy SZ because that character actually showed range in her acting. It’s a shame to have a cast of amazing actors who work hard at interpreting characters into icons we love but then they’re JJY who has portrayed the exact same character in Every Single One of her dramas! I recommend you watch more of her dramas, I think you will understand why the show was a let down because of her portrayal of this character that could have been amazing! It’s one thing to have an amazing plot, the plot had so much potential, but if the actors can’t bring it to life, what’s the point? KMLM had an amazing plot to start with, there were areas where it dragged but the ACTORS made something Amazing out of the lazy writing! I can’t say the same for In Blossom. However I still believe you will understand my sentiments when you watch more cdramas (not that I know how many you’ve watched) but you will definitely get to the point where lazy writing and lazy acting with no range become Unacceptable! Can we also talk about the scene where she was examining what was supposed to be her own body ? No EMOTION AT ALL! Like who was directing her? I don’t know about you but if I had to do an autopsy on my own body I’d probably lose my mental! But again she’s just a playful actress, plays the same character in every drama. I like her, but she needs to stick to the fun not very serious roles where we as the viewers will appreciate her character playing the smart but stupid damsel who takes on more than she can handle and is saved by the handsome Prince! I going to have to STRONGLY disagree with you! It’s insulting to compare Kill Me Love Me with In Blossom! FL plays the EXACT same character she plays in every single drama I’ve ever seen her in and I’ve seen her in about four and each time I get genuinely sick of her acting! She lacks range and emotion and is not very good at portraying the emotional depth needed from a character. She’s always so quick to investigate but WHAT ARE YOU INVESTIGATING? You’re weak, powerless and an annoyance to any investigation in my opinion and im only on episode 8! I’m sick of her. ML is amazing KMLM was amazing until the writers tried to play in our faces with a very stupid ending for shock factor, after the build up and everything the two leads had been through, overcoming everything! The least they could do was a HE! It was truly an emotional rollercoaster and I stopped it to preserve my mental health! This show however is already getting quite predictable and boring. I’ll give it a chance as this is my second attempt at trying to watch it but again so far I feel anyone rating this highly lacks critical thinking skills! The FL has already let the show down greatly … she has no range in her acting.

Like you just lost your face … can you be a little bit more emotional? Especially the part where she was examining her own body like it was nothing, ZERO EMOTION that you’ve just seen your own body in a coffin! I don’t know but I hope it gets better because right now I’m just seeing the same nonsensical pattern JUY portrays in every character I’ve watched her portray so far and it gets old very quickly! I’ll say I enjoyed her portray of SZ in the first few episodes, playing a mean girl… but then she reverted to her old ways! So far not impressed! I’m sure this show is only getting the ratings due to the ML he’s superb!
