Yeah, it's a good version of this type of story! I feel like some extra twists they added and the moments of characters examining what's going on made it feel fresh for me.

Such a talented and handsome actor, he really elevates the side characters he plays into beloved and memorable people for us. Hope he gets a great main lead role someday of course, but even if not I think he has made a mark on C Drama fans. Happy Birthday! 🎂

Now THIS is an evil empress, holy crap... What a vile snake of a woman! She's also kind of beautiful in a psycho way. I hate her, but I like the portrayal of the character.

Watching Yan Zi Xian kiss people is my comfort zone or something, I am just always happy when I see it. 😂 The start of this was a bit rough, but I liked how they showed the FL experiencing "Oh shit we're actually part of a story." Like if it happened to me I would be quite scared, and I think plot/actress did a decent job of depicting that.

Delinquents with good hearts finding their "big brother" or "big sister" to lead their gang and inspire them to be better people is ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!! I didn't expect it here though. So cute. Please stay strong and protect each other, my precious village dudes. 🥺

I think the show as a whole is just "okay" or maybe a 6.5-7/10 for me. I like the basic story, but the script writing is weak. Actors are decent, there is at least some chemistry, costumes are nice. The dialogue and flow of plot are not very good sometimes though. I recently enjoyed the two short dramas "Seeds of Scarlet Longing" and "How To Train Your Killer" more than this.

Episode 11 slap fest was pretty satisfying. 🤣

Yes this was TERRIBLE advice to give, especially from Qian Qian (who I do otherwise like a lot). She certainly should know better, right?! Don't tell other women to recklessly have kids with strange handsome dudes! 😅

I still generally enjoyed the drama, but this is also how I felt about it. I was just expecting a different dynamic. I don't think the one we DID get was done as well as it could have been, either. Many times I actually felt like Zhao Zhao did not want to be that close with Mu Qingyan and the confession, while sweet, had feelings pouring out of nowhere to me. I guess I can convince myself she was repressing a lot, but I think it could have been written and directed better.

Will I ever get to see this... I miss watching Song Wei Long and he looks potentially really cool here! 😭

I've been a pretty big Deng Kai fan for a few years now, but he is scaring the crap out of me here. Sign of a good actor, even making the diehard fans terrified of you! The music playing during his scenes is creepy as hell too. 😭

Spent the whole drama so far wanting to slap her, and I'm not really a person who would ever slap anyone. But I think I can make an exception for her. 🤣

This drama is one of the most beautiful things I have ever watched and I've consumed an absolute ton of filmed, written, and performed media. If you're on the fence about it, you truly owe it to yourself to at least view the first episode.

Lingbo's character development is so uneven. Girl almost seems like she's activating some braincells and growing an actual conscience, but then falls back into being an obnoxious idiot soon after... Oh well, old habits die hard I guess. 😂

I really liked this scene, actually found it beautiful and touching. The music was nice too.
