This is a really good watch for a vertical drama. FL is a mischievous demon all the way through and genuinely funny. Neither main character is particularly likeable (they are both kind of jerks) at the beginning, but somehow that makes it work even better. A little bit of enemies to lovers and contract marriage trope here.

I hope this drama finally makes good use of how smoldering and attractive Wang Hong Yi is. 🤣 It looks like a fitting character for him, someone kind of strange and intense.

I really like how Jesse Ren played the "unhinged" element of his character in this. Even his weirdly aggressive eating and the sulky, guarded body language was interesting to watch.

The Emperor's younger brother (Jin Ming) and the Imperial Preceptor. They both have a fair amount of screen time.

Uh yeah, the AI replaced faces are extremely uncanny and even borderline uncomfortable to watch... Too bad since it's otherwise decent, for a shorter comedic drama.

Very goofy and slapstick humor, but cute and heartwarming. I like both main actors in these roles.

For a vertical drama this was really cute and funny, and I personally thought they had good chemistry. Also you certainly can't blame a lady for biting that emperor here and there, just saying!

When you don't care that much about kiss or no-kiss, but just want to see Riley Wang looking awesome and playing an interesting character again... (It's me) 😂

This one is very good for a short drama and Yang Ze is quite funny as scheming consort, definitely recommend!

You know what... All other stuff aside, I'm kind of enjoying this? It's a little on the simple and dumb side plot-wise, but it's very cute and endearing.

I sure hope it's not like that. Sword and Beloved was my most disappointing drama of the past year or so. 😂

Oh even Wu Han got to do a song?! That's great. His voice is very smooth and wistful, I like it. ❤️

This is filmed in the same style as a cheaper vertical drama and the first episode is actually just... kind of bad. Awkward script and plot drops you into the middle of nowhere. Unfortunate, since the two main actors are both good and talented! If you want to watch Yan Zi Xian in something and haven't yet seen Fate Beyond Script, I recommend that instead.

Oh dear, this was one cute and funny BTS. WZM is very good with comedic timing it looks like. 🤣 I'm glad when the actors seem to be comfortable and having fun with each other on set.

Every new episode answers one question and then brings two or three more. 😂

It was nice to see Liu Yu here, I hope he takes on more roles like this one. He is perfect to play beautifully strange and ethereal characters.
