The Past Never Remains In The Past
This was an extremely enjoyable series to watch, but I must say, it seemed like it was divided into three different parts. The first few episodes are perfectly moving along, Do Hoe & Ju Jeong experience the beginning of a relationship. It is done with such innocence, you can't help but feel how adorable the two of these people are. Not even knowing where to put their noses when they kiss. It's really was great to watch.Rather quickly in the middle of these episodes, you can't help but feel the darkness and drama take over. The acting is great during this period, but even with all the despair and negativity happening on screen, you just know that somehow Ju Yeong is somehow going to correct this ship into the right direction. He never gives up. Lee Sun is great performing this character.
In the end it shows how powerful this first love was, able to withstand the test of time and all the obstacles that were put in their way.
The very end, as Do Hoe is reading all the entries on the computer screen of Ju Jeong, it made for a fantastic finish to a great story.
All in all, very enjoyable.

Opposites Definitely Attract
I think when you start watching this series, you need to give it a chance to grab you. It starts out funny and unrealistic, but along the way it gets series and loving later on, so just be patient, you'll b be glad you did.Four extremely different people, all facing different issues, but eventually help and bring out the best in each other.
I think the character of Ki Sub, played by Shi An was just great. So well performed. It was fun watching him mature to such a responsible and caring person in such a short period of time.
Great series to watch if you just want to relax and enjoy

The Power Of Music
There's so many people to have sympathy for in this series, whether is was for the loss of a family member, a lost love or a forbidden love that was not allowed to be expressed. There's an enormous transformation in characters from start to finish in these episodes, all for the good.
All the actors were great in this, but I felt an extra special performance from Han Gyeom. What he brought out in his character of Do Yun was really above and beyond. The scene with him and Jung Ha as Ju Ha late in the series in the locker room was such well performed and special written part of the drama. Just fantastic.
The way the writers brought all the story plots together with all the characters at the very end was perfect.
Very enjoyable and a really feel good series to watch again.

Quite Entertaining
When I first began watching this I wondered how this was going to keep my attention for 12 episodes. I'm a fan of Chan Young, but it didn't seem to be a strong story line to keep over a long period of time. I was absolutely wrong. This turned out to be an extremely enjoyable, and at times quite dramatic of a story. The blend of drama with comedy works extremely well in this series.Chan Young gives a great performance, whether with the drama part of this, the comedy or a few very emotional scenes. Ji Hyeon & Min Seok work well with him throughout this as well.
If you're looking at for a enjoyable series with some cliff hanger episode endings that bring you back to watch the next one, this is definitely a good one to sign on to. There are indeed a few shockers as this story plays out.
Great Series!

Great BL Drama
It's a bit slow at the start, but quickly pulls you in to a great story to follow. Both actors, Woo Hyun & Kang Min seem to have a spark between them from the beginning, but it definitely takes a while to warm up to Kang Min's character Ji Woo. He does a great job as keeping his character boring and sad until it's necessary to open him up.Once you get the feel & background of these two characters, you realize this should work out for a happy ending. Saying that, it's kind of shocking how the sequel (To My Star 2) begins.
A good "feel good" BL to watch. The Sequel is just as good, if not better than the original.

Brilliant Acting
I began watching this movie expecting to see the warm smile good natured Kim Hyun Joong that we are used to seeing. What I saw was a shocking, brilliant performance last was ongoing for 80 minutes. As the story evolves, you are taken inside the mind of a tortured man. Hyun Joong literally grabs you by the hand and takes you into the hell his mind is experiencing.
As he roams room by room throughout the night, his powerful performance darkens and his body begins to break down. By the end, you are literally exhausted from watching this transformation.
I found it to be one of the finest performances by any actor. I look forward to Hyun Joong’s future roles. He has proven his true talent.

It was ALMOST a great series
This was an extremely enjoyable series with so many plot twists & turns throughout, which kept it extremely interesting. Yeon Seok was fantastic, playing a character that showed a completing different size of him as an actor. He was a great mix with Soo Bin, who was also great as Hui Ju. The only thing that really made me rethink how great this series had become, was the final episode. I thought the story in episode 12 became completely foolish, showing us the reasons Sa Eon disappeared, leaving Hui Ju by herself for more than a year, it just didn't make too much sense, and didn't seem to fit with the rest of the series. It caused me to reduce my ratings on what was truly a great suspense series to that point.Thankfully in the end, everything did turn out the way you were hoping it would, so all was corrected for. It gave a solid ending to a great series.

Lee Dong Wook at his finest
It's really difficult to put into words how brilliant this drama was. The acting, writing, directing & the all out chemistry on screen was just the best in every way. This is definitely my favorite work of Dong Wook. He showed such magic on screen with Bo Ah & Kim Bum. It's the only series I watched twice in its entirety, it's just that good.Every cast member has a great moment in a certain episode where they shine.
As you get deeper and deeper into this series, you can feel the pain or happiness of each character in the episodes. Episode 15 & 16 are without a doubt the most powerful acted scenes by any actor. The farewells of Yeon to Rang and then the reverse, Rang back to Yeon are just incredible. If you don't become a complete mess watching these two scenes, there is definitely something wrong with you. At the time of completion, you really didn't know if there would be a season two, so you kind of feel like you lost part of your family at the ending of this drama.
As Yeon states at the very end, "Living as a human means life is full of things that are first & last ...... first snow, first step, first picnic, first root canal & first love"
... and also first season of Tale of the Nine Tailed. Amazingly, season two (1938) turned out to be even better, if that's possible. Way to go Wookie!!!

Absolutely Fantastic
From the very beginning of this series right through the conclusion, there was never a mis-step in any episode. The trio of protagonists in this drama/comedy were so fantastic together. Each one fitting perfectly with the other two, creating such great chemistry. Kyung Ho was brilliant for this role, showing us his dramatic side blended with comedic tones. In Ah was also great being the strong support for him in a lot of the situations that Mu Jin would get himself involved in. She could be tough, but also shows a soft side of Hui Ju when it was needed.Without a doubt, though, Hak Yeon playing the part of Gyeon U was genius. He delivers so many funny moments throughout the episodes, his timing and actions are just perfect with his character. Several scenes makes you laugh out loud from his performance. When you blend these three actors together, they cover every aspect of great entertainment in this series.
The many stories Mu Jin would get himself involved with, as well as the people seeking his help, were so well written, some being quite emotional to watch. There were a few episode endings that definitely brings you to tears, episode 2 was definitely one of them.
The final episode gives a great conclusion to a great story. We take with us so many good lessons we learned along the way. As Mu Jin is told in the end "Only when you face your wounds .... instead of avoiding them ..... can you understand how to heal them"

Fantastically Delicious Drama
I try not to ever give out 10's to a series, because nothing is ever perfect ... However, this drama was about as close to perfection as you can get. By the end of episode one, you get so hooked, you just can't wait for the follow up.Chae Min gives one of the finest performances I've ever seen. He & Yoon A are absolutely brilliant together, each one complementing the other. Watching these two evolve from start to finish was so enjoyable. Seeing Chae Min in previous roles, it was totally unexpected, watching him transform from such a tyrant King early on, to such a lovable character in later episodes. Applause to him for really giving it his all.
The supporting cast fits perfectly throughout. Gwi Hwa is a great antagonist as the horrible Prince Je San. He, along with Han Na blend a a nice touch of wickedness to the story, adding just the right ingredients of evil to make a perfect dish!!
As we get closer to the end, you kind of begin to wonder how this will play out to a satisfied conclusion. You know Ji Yeong needs to return to her present time, but how to do it without destroying the story?? Someone the writers did it, in excellent fashion no less.
The Finale gave you everything you wanted. A smorgasbord of all good stuff. I found no fault in anything. I kept waiting for something disappointing to happen, but it never did. The last 10 or so minutes I could watch again and again. It really was the best ending you could ask for!!
This drama had such serious moments with just a dash of humor, which made a great dish of entertainment. Standing ovation to a great great series!!!

Truly a remarkably great series from start to finish
I'm always hesitant on rating a series 10's across ... but this turned out to be such an outstanding drama, I couldn't give it anything lower. There are so many layers to this story, the three protagonists are so intertwined with their lives, you get to experience how they arrive at the present day by witnessing their early lives together from years past. A multitude of flashbacks explains the relationship they endured together, as well as the family around them. Each character faces past and present challenges only the other two can help with.Bo Young does such an unbelievable job playing dual roles as identical twin sisters, just flawless. Each with such a different personality, and she brings out that distinctive mood in each. Her chemistry as Mi Ji with Ho Su is so amazing. The two make the absolute perfect couple you'll ever see. Jin Young equally matches her strong performance, and delivers such a powerful character, you can't help but be on his side, rooting for him every step of the way. When the two finally realize they are meant to be together later in the series, it's a conclusion to an episode you can't help but cheer!!
The supporting cast blends so well, too. It's the kind of cast of personalities you like at first, then you dislike, then you like again. Each of the mothers fall into that category, as do a couple of antagonist, but even they correct for themselves as the series continues on.
As you get closer to the final episode, you do feel like you get a bit of whiplash from things going good to bad to good in such a short period of time, but it's planned out perfectly, so you really do enjoy the ups and downs.
As things conclude, you feel a great satisfaction for each character. Everyone ends up in a much better place then they were when it all began. Regardless of their age, you witness a realization each one has toward themself and everyone important in their lives. Truly a great story, superb writing and fantastic acting.
One line delivered later in the series, really applies to the main tone of the story ... "The promise of a tomorrow is not born from hope, but from resolve"

Three Dads Are Better Than None
This series starts off a bit silly, lots of comedy, taking nothing seriously in it, but by the end of episode 2 this really turns into a well written, well acted story. There's just enough of drama, comedy and coming of age emotional tones to make this such an enjoyable story to watch.I've always been a fan of Yuki Yamada, so that's what originally pulled me into watching. He was great as always, but besides Yuki, Arata Horii & Ryo Mitsuya, the two other protagonists he's teamed up with, make a well balanced trio. Three long time best friends, so different in every way, yet extremely close to each other. They're put into a surprising situation when a baby is abandoned at their home. It's great to watch how three totally different personalities come to terms with it.
For me, it was from episode 7 and beyond where the story goes into a deeper drama and somewhat of an emotional tone. It's truly a great story UNTIL ... oh that final episode. I found it somewhat upsetting to forgive someone so easily after abandoning her child for more than a year, but that's how things played out. I must say, however, as the final episode concludes, there was indeed a satisfaction in the entire outcome of the story. It's a fantastic final few scenes and it got rid of that bitterness I was feeling from several minutes earlier.
This story shows how a small child showed up at just the right time, improving the lives of three men, making them better people to each other as well as themselves.
It's quoted toward the end when asked what love is ... "Love is showing our bare hearts without a facade"
This drama/comedy shows us exactly that! Very enjoyable!!!

They make an offer you can't refuse
I haven't seen a disappointing series involving Bo Ah yet, and this one is no exception ... I couldn't believe how intensely great this drama turned out to be from the very first episode. Shocks and surprises were intertwined from beginning to end. There were so many layers of this story, it made for such good entertainment, watching each piece of the puzzle revealed, making a much clearer picture of how the past was effecting the present day for all the protagonists.Bo Ah & Bo Hyun were the perfect professional team going up against all the evil subplots in the story. Great chemistry between the two of them.
I think what made this great, was the changing personalities of the many characters, whether a main or supporting role. Don't be fooled by who you think is good and who you think is bad, because my perception of several characters changed in the opposite direction by the end of the series. Such fantastic antagonists on screen, without a doubt one of the most evil characters you will ever see, General Hwa Young, played brilliantly by Yeon Soo. Oh wow, you could feel the coldness coming through your television when she was on screen. Her, teamed with Moon Goo was evil on top of evil.
Early on I would have included Tae Nam on that same list, but that character, which was performed fantastically by Woo Seok, fell into the category of going from bad to good. I couldn't believe I was on his side by episode 16, because early on, what a horrible person he was.
Several big episode were the backbone of this drama, especially episode 9, which seemed to be the pinnacle episode of them all. That's were pretty much everything is revealed to us, telling us exactly who everyone truly was. After that, episode 15 was the "big one". It made everything worth waiting for ... retribution for all. There were scenes I needed to watch twice, because it was just so damn good to see it play out.
In the end, everything was kind of like you wished for, although I did think the final episode may have been rushed a bit toward the end, but overall an excellent satisfying ending for a truly great series!!!

Rollercoaster of emotions
This is an incredible story of how differently people deal with grief and tragedy. It shows us how the human mind can bury events deep inside itself, rather than face it. What's great about this story is how the two protagonists, who are both dealing with trauma from the same day, find and help each other ten years later for support. Neither one fully realizing the importance the other person played in their life that tragic day.It takes about four episodes into the series before we start to see the chain of events from ten years earlier. Bit by bit we start to realize what happened, and how gruesome things truly were.
Jun Ho, as always, is masterful in his role, delivering a powerful performance. I've always said about him, he can make you laugh and he can make you cry. As expected, he does not disappoint playing Gang Du. Perfectly match with him is Jin A. The two create a great bond together. It takes awhile, but they show us how they belong by each other's side, whether being in the past or present.
Episode nine would definitely be the pinnacle episode of the series, in which everything is suddenly remembered from years past. It's a great part of the drama, creating a truly emotional story as you head toward the later part of the series.
There's so many great quotes in this story that explain this drama in a nutshell ... "Living is a repetition of regrets and failures ...it's said that everyone has their own personal prison"
This drama proves just that. Excellent series!!

You Gotta Have Heart
This turned into a court case like non other I've seen. It wasn't just the story about bringing all the antagonists to justice, but also the four stories that were intertwined, involving a single heart transplant and all the directions it would take. It starts out as a good vs evil courtroom drama, but quickly turns into a complicated, suspenseful & extremely entertaining series. It may be a bit confusing in the beginning, but eventually everything slowly comes together deep into the story. You find yourself saying "oh now that makes sense from two episodes ago, I got it now"
I'm always a fan of JunHo, and he once again doesn't disappoint. He is excellent in the lead role, giving a strong, emotional performance. The cast along side of him prove a perfect balance together. Jae Myung, Gi Ae & Hyun Been complete the remaining protagonists in the story, each adding greatness to the supporting crew.
The antagonist in this are evil, cold & heartless ... in other words, perfect for this series. There's too many to name, but by the later part of the drama, there's definitely a count down in your head on how each of these horrible people will see their demise.
Besides having so many episodes with great "cliff hanging" endings, without a doubt, one of the best courtroom climactic scenes occurs in the final episode. It's brilliant to watch it happen, almost in slow motion. All the people you despise, they are left with their mouths hanging open, all in the same room. It gives a great conclusion to a terrific series.
Definitely a great watch!!!
