Yes, she is becoming one of my favorite female characters! Confident and kind - she’s a gem! 😻 Now, that senior dude - he actually might be redeemable as he has some brain to even think up that stuff. So at least he can make a choice to continue being a shitty senior and a bully, or to change his behavior. People like Not, though, have much less of a chance to change as they can’t think for themselves. They are driven by a survival instinct to get ahead in life at all costs. So he will follow the strongest, switching teams at any sign of weakness from his “leader”, trying to leech onto the stronger one at the expense of anyone around him. At least, that’s what it looks like to me. 😊
Haven't seen pisaeng being happy for a long time 😭. Damn even kitten kawee tried to scratch him. What Not thinks…
Not is a typical slimy bully bastard who’s oh so brave only while he’s backed by his seniors. That senior with the fuzzy facial hair is the oldest one there, and he’s an enabler for the whole “tradition” thing. Not is like a little jackal following his lead (no offense to jackals). When shown strength, Not will fold like a paper. He still might try to give you a paper cut, but that’s about it.
There was a senior in there though. Hierarchy and respect may have played a role in her actions. Plus it was supposedly…
That’s true, too. But I respect that Pear is using this advantage to right the wrongs instead of her own advantage and “rule” the others. I think that’s why she’s paying a lot of attention to Kawi afterwards - to stop people from bullying him. She’s a really good friend. 🤩
There was a senior in there though. Hierarchy and respect may have played a role in her actions. Plus it was supposedly…
I think so too. She was clearly uncomfortable throughout the whole thing, and tried to voice her concern, but was quickly shut down by a senior (which is a big deal there) and by Kawi who reluctantly said he was ok with it. She was also not happy when nudged to leave and during them listening on the conversation. She’s just a type of person who easily goes with the flow and is extremely respectful to the hierarchy. Actually, I think she’s very realistic. Not everyone is as mature and self aware as Pear is. I hope Kwan can learn from this and her character can develop and still be friends with Pear. We’ll see what happens. 🍿
I like how mature pear was in this episode. Although she turned down kawee's confession, she didnt avoid him and…
I agree - I like her character and I hope she finds a great partner! She is a mature and smart woman. I’m grateful to the writers for her. I hope she’ll continue to be a solid character as she is now. 😻
I’m not sure why some people here dislike two languages being used. According to the plot, it looks like they participate in some reality show, so it’s perfectly logical to me to invite a star from another country and have ear pieces that help with translation. Also, a lot of times, people have at least a conversational level of a neighboring country’s language. So the leads could communicate either with the ear pieces or using basic language. 🤷♀️ From a viewing perspective, I don’t know either Thai or Korean, so as long as I get English subs - we are all good! 😻
Judging by what Korn said in that scene and that Mintra had nothing to bite back with. It's probably just a facade,…
I’m hoping they will tie things together somehow later on. But yes, it was a bit erratic to me as well. I didn’t pay attention to the instagram accounts, but that’s a nice touch! I guess I will have to rewatch this - I admit I was really sleepy when I finally got to watch the episode 😔
Yeah, see, it looks like they dedicate each episode to different couples as we didn’t have Gun/Pawin here.
Chan is really like a big fluffy puppy! There are people like that in real life, and it’s absolutely impossible…
True! I read the webtoon a while ago, so I don’t remember exactly when Yul started showing his interest in Chan. I just want them to have enough time together, given the series is half way through. 😉
Chan is really like a big fluffy puppy! There are people like that in real life, and it’s absolutely impossible…
I had a friend like that, too. He really reminded me of a retriever puppy after he eats your favorite shoes, then sits there all smiles, wagging his tail. And all you can say is “Awww, how cute! Did you have fun with those shoes, you little cute shit? Come here, let me pet you, good boy!” 🤦♀️
Chan is really like a big fluffy puppy! There are people like that in real life, and it’s absolutely impossible…
Yes, Yeol should warm up real fast! 🥰 I mean, who wouldn’t? 😂 They could definitely benefit from a longer runtime. They could give more depth to all the characters, including the little girl’s story. I also like the head of the village who gives such simple and to the point advices to Chan. And, of course, backstories for both Chan and Yeol. 😻
YeChan is such a puppy. Barely out of his teens and infatuated with an older guy, and that too one as closed off…
Chan is really like a big fluffy puppy! There are people like that in real life, and it’s absolutely impossible to get mad at them even though they might deserve it. Of course, Chan only deserves praise and hugs, he’s so thoughtful and caring! 🥰 He certainly deserves kisses as well, but with it being KBL, I don’t keep my hopes too high 😉
I’m definitely right there with Weha on this one: “grab genitalia just for excitement, but not too stress” - what DOES it mean??? 😳 And whose genitalia is Wayu supposed to grab for excitement? That’s some show he’s filming! 🙀
Judging by what Korn said in that scene and that Mintra had nothing to bite back with. It's probably just a facade,…
Korn is definitely no Prince Charming 😂 He has a long way to go in his character development, so it’s good for us as we’ll get to see it 🤩 Hopefully, Pawin will help him and will become happier himself along the way. I haven’t watched today’s episode yet, either 🤦♀️ but will definitely watch it tonight! 🍿
Its a common situation tho especially in high school, where the girl is the one who shows interest to the boy…
Thank you 😊 That’s cute - it reminds me of March 8 when boys had to give candies to the girls, and February 23 when girls had to give candies to the boys. Where I grew up, March 8 was considered international women’s day, and February 23 - Army and Navy day (kinda like man’s day since army draft was for 18 y. o. males) 😊
See, that’s exactly why I would ditch all those games and start with acting challenges instead. An actor can…
You’re probably right, and I agree - those conversations didn’t sit right with me either. I understand the company wants to get all the “dirt” out of the way so that it doesn’t hinder them later. I also understand they might want the games exactly to see how they work together. But I think it could be also done as an acting challenge instead of the games. They could achieve the same goal using different methods, that’s all. Like, the conversations could still happen, scattered within the acting pieces or at the end of the episode. Teamwork could still be observed with some interesting group act. Maybe they didn’t want to pay the acting coach too much? That could be the reason if they are tight on funds. I’m just saying that it would be more interesting for me personally to see more of “actor’s educational camp” type thing, what’s involved in their education and professional growth, how they should deal with pressure in healthy ways, etc. I hope it makes sense 😊
I agree - for me, it came to a point where if I see a woman in a BL series, I immediately start dreading the moment…
Thank you for your reply 😊 I don’t think I have ever heard of this “logical” progression to gays being women haters and lesbians being men haters, so I reacted like that, sorry ☺️ To me, it’s just such a false and awful statement 🤦♀️ If this is something lurking in the society - it’s really bad. Those “norms” of calling the behaviors based on gender is not only English specific, unfortunately. Social norms impact language a lot, and the norms are similar in many countries. I think people are different even within the same family, not speaking of a wider groups, so just like there are calm and shy people, there will be loud and obnoxious people, modest and slutty, etc. So I think there are all those different kinds of people among gay, lesbian, bi, and straight people as well. I’m talking about real life. Now, how they are depicted in reel life is a whole different story. I agree that many times series go into stereotypes, and it’s ok for once or twice (since people like that do exist in reality), but more than that - it becomes a tired trope to me. I’m interested in different people, different stories. Same thing on repeat becomes boring to me. Just like that infamous “dumb girl” 😂 So, here is an incomplete list of series that came out within this year with my “favorite” character: - 609 Bedtime story - Cafe in Love - Check Out (a “masterpiece”, but fits the bill) - The 8th Sense - Unforgotten Night - 2 Moons: the Ambassador There was another one about a culinary student Luk Chup in love with a student from another faculty (engineering maybe 🤔) and that girl was spreading rumors online - I can’t remember the name of the series. She was a real nutcase to take the grand prize! If you know what series it is - please let me know, my mind will be racing now 😂 The reason why it’s more prominent in BL is simply a female to male ratio in a genre. When you have only a few females in a realm, bad ones will be more visible than in a hetero drama with lots of different females. That’s all 😊 By the way, I react just the same to dumb females (or males) in straight dramas. For example, I really disliked a female in 3 gentle bros who has no boundaries with Tay’s character and it would be easily called “sexual harassment” if genders were reversed. But there she was a FL, so of course it worked out 🙄. Anyway, let’s hope for more interesting series with various plots and characters! 🤞
I really don’t think at this time that Ta has leading actor ability. He needs the time to grow into that role.…
See, that’s exactly why I would ditch all those games and start with acting challenges instead. An actor can be an introvert in real life, but a wonderful actor on the set. Who cares how an actor is in real life? I certainly don’t. As long as an actor does his job and gives a good performance - he’s great to me! In real life, he can be loud or quiet, have a lover or not, love his nightclubs or his wine and books - that’s his business 😊 But here, I feel like they wasted several episodes with those games. Oh well…
I’m glad they got an acting coach for their rehearsals! They actually got a chance to learn - that’s great. I’m not sure how often professional actors are thrown into “let’s change the scenery, props and costumes in 5 minutes, and btw you have to make all the decisions by yourself “. To me, it’s a highly unlikely scenario, but what do I know, I am not an actress 🤷♀️ I think everyone performed great, especially given the circumstances. I also appreciate that the guys communicated and came up with the changes quickly and they were truly together in this effort. Again, Vegas/Pete scene was the hardest in my opinion, and it would take way more than one day to get it done right. So good job! Poor Bump didn’t seem comfortable even with a kiss during the rehearsal, and here is a whole bed they have to use! 🤦♀️ He didn’t chicken out, though! 👏🏻 But seriously, more intimate scenes should require more really dedicated workshops. They shouldn’t be thrown at the boys with expectations of showing some great feelings or smooth choreography - again, my unprofessional opinion. 😉
