I thought the same thing, and it looks like the actors are 14. So it could be that Ren was lying about his age, or they are 17 in the series (which I doubt as normally Asian series try to get their actors to be very close to the character’s age).

In the preview for the next episode, though, it looks like Lomfon can hear Tien as well as Patts and Tai. So I guess Tien just joined the chat! 😂

Yes, I’m watching Tokyo in April 😻I just figured this one is done next week, so the one after should be Minato. Looks like they finish one, then start another. Anyway, I am happy with as many as they can give us, so I got greedy 😻

Ok, I understand that it’s the first relationship for both MLs, but come on, can they communicate? They are not high schoolers. And are they not attracted to each other physically? At this point, it’s so unrealistic that it’s a “whatever” for me.

Do you guys know what will be the next JBL after this one is done? Is it Minato’s Laundromat 2 or something else?

This episode was what I wanted to see from the very beginning instead of the games. The guys got some serious help from the acting coach, went through acting exercises and it was finally all about acting (of course, except for all the flashbacks 🤦‍♀️).
Anyway, I really liked how Mio and Bump improvised their “high school students” skit - they were very playful and natural with each other. I could see it as an actual scene from a series. 👏🏻

Yep, they poured out a lot of stuff this episode! I wish some of it appeared earlier, though. Like, they just introduced two (!) new characters 3/4 into the series, but ok, sure, I’ll take it 😉
Also, Mintra’s membership to the BL Bitch club was just upgraded to VIP! Congrats to her! 🎉
Let’s see if she contests the crown, though. Right now, it still belongs to Ms. Namning from La Cuisine. Just a short review of her accolades: lying, scheming, selling her rival’s phone number to strangers as a male prostitute, launching cyber bullying, hiring goons to severely beat her rival who happened to be a very naive young guy - a complete opposite of our sassy Pawin.

Korn has never been the brightest bunch, but seriously, dude - it’s not Pawin’s MO to get physically abusive. Verbally - sure, with pleasure! Physically? Ewww! 🙀
I’m thinking Host will share the footage, but rather later than sooner. Speaking of Host - I don’t think she’s Susi’s daughter. Maybe a relative? Susi treats her like a regular employee 🤷‍♀️
The prodigal son - not sure if he’s Susi’s son either, honestly. Although, it’s possible - he looks pretty psycho to me. I’m pretty sure, though, he really shouldn’t be in the house with Host - she’s really scared of him.

I also think there are multiple “demons” and “angels” here, but I don’t know yet who’s on which side. The nurse seems to be on the couple’s side, but who really knows? Time is trying to stir things up, but again - not sure what his end game is. The cafe lady seems to be someone’s mom at some point - whose? Riyou’s? Or someone’s older? It’s hard to tell with her looks changed so much.
I hope they do realize they only have two episodes to go, even though they are twice the length of a usual episode. They better start untangling it all! 😉

I think they might have filmed those little things that would help with clearing things up, like the truck excuse and the kiss explanation, but later they ended up being edited somehow. Otherwise, the script is just too sloppy.

I’m not sure about French kissing between Patts and Tai. Their kisses and overall intimate scene were fine by me, but you might be right. I’m not always paying attention to the kisses just because normal practice for the actors is “no tongue”, so I don’t expect much. So, unless tongues are literally flailing - I won’t notice 😂

I totally agree that he was a complete douche using her - trust me, my jaw dropped when he did, I never expected it out of him. If I was there I would smack him myself. My issue with that slap is more of a timing of it- physical reaction is something that happens right away, at the moment. Like I said - I would smack him if I was there at the moment of offense. If she could wait for awhile to talk to him - that moment of affect is gone. Now, her brain should be working and she had every right to be hurt and verbally smash him. But the opportunity of physical revenge was far gone by then. It was unnecessary and, in my mind, only humiliated her more as it felt to me out of place and out of time. I might be wrong, it’s just my opinion. ☺️
Again, I was appalled by Souta’s behavior, so I am not defending him.

P. S. : For Shimizu, I hope she learns to NEVER offer herself to be used. When she offered a “trial dating” to Souta “without any expectations out of him” - that was an offer to use her. And when he did use her (just not the way she expected) - she got pissed. That’s my take on it.

I watch different dramas, different stories. I do like BL genre, to me, as long as everyone is having fun, it’s a nice fantasy. I never kink shame anyone - to each their own. I can watch dramas with any kind of NC as long as participants are consenting adults. Not too much to ask for, right? 😉
I also prefer dramas with a strong plot - NC stuff is really secondary for me. I will enjoy it, of course, if it makes sense for the plot. NC without a build up with emotions looks like a good workout to me 🤷‍♀️
I’m familiar with Korean mangas and I agree - there are a lot of them with severe SA. When it gets to that extent - that’s a drop for me. Especially when the perp doesn’t get punished. I think I get why comics are not as repulsive to many people. They are drawn characters who rarely look like real people, so a lot of things that would draw criticism in a live action are just glossed over. Like, have you seen those “light sabers”? 🤦‍♀️ I just can’t but laugh even if the picture is something dire - those guys are hung like elephants, forget the poor horses! 🙀 How do they even wear normal pants and where the heck does their “equipment” fit??? 🤣

I think it was absolutely Nara performing a non-con kiss and Patts freezing.
To me, assault is an assault - I don’t care about the gender of a perpetrator. Women can assault men and to me it would be perfectly fine if Patts shoved her ass away, but his response was to freeze - it’s not his fault for any response he might have had in this situation, I’m just stating the fact.
I’m a very chill person, but I really hate SA, no matter the genders of parties involved. Like, I was also mad at Nueng in “3 gentle bros” when she was all over Tay’s character and then kissed him while he was very uncomfortable. Of course, it was glossed over as they were MC and somehow it didn’t matter 🤷‍♀️
Anyway, I agree with you that Nara was in the wrong here. Even if it’s your ex boyfriend, there’s a reason for that “ex” and you don’t have the same “access” to his body anymore. At some point, you can get hurt when another person’s response will be “fight” 🤦‍♀️
P.S.: I am glad they deviated from the fairytale’ish “soulmate” theme and introduced multiple possibilities for people with this hearing condition. Now, it’s interesting how exactly they will go about it. I think the main theme here is for the partners to be on the same “wavelength”, they just illustrate it with this specific condition.

I still think the plot is messy, though. If Tai chose to not be mad about the kiss - he would calmly assess the distance to the mountain, gather supplies and walk there at a reasonable time of day, well equipped. Here, he just darted away, without as much as a bottle of water, in whatever clothes he was in. That doesn’t spell “I choose not to be mad” - whether at Patts or the situation.
Again, even if they went to pick up Lomfon - how far did everyone go if they can’t get there by truck in a reasonable amount of time? 🤷‍♀️
I also enjoyed Patts saying “I love you the most” to Tai. So. “the most” out of whomst? Tai and Nara? Tai, Nara, John and Mary? How many contestants do we have here? 😂 I kinda let it go since it could be just a translation fluke, but it was funny to me - Patts sounded like an old school mormon husband talking to his favorite sister-wife 😂
Anyway, I am curious how they will continue the plot with Lomfon tuned into their conversations 🧐

So I guess Lomfon was right all along about a coincidental frequency people might have that allows them to hear each other. That would explain why more than two people can be tuned to the same frequency. I believe in the first episode it said the hearing loss starts manifesting itself at a certain age (20 I think), so Lomfon might’ve just turned 20 years old on that day. That’s why he never experienced it before.
Of course, the whole episode was unnecessarily messy. Starting with that non-con kiss by Nara which was never explained to Tai. I guess he watched Love Mechanics and deduced the kiss on his own 🤷‍♀️
Of course, he didn’t figure it out until he climbed the mountain in his trusty cardigan in the scorching heat. And he went so far that only Patts could cover the same distance the same day, but a truck surely couldn’t until the next morning. Are Tai and Patts marathon runners, or that little truck oulived its expiration date? 🤷‍♀️
Anyway, we’ll see where they’re going with Lomfon joining on the special hearing fun. Now, I think it’s Tien’s turn to have his birthday and start hearing Lomfon and maybe a dozen other people to make it more competitive 😂

When Souta was clearly using Shimizu to get back at Mahiro, that was an asshole move. But when she slapped him - that was totally unnecessary. She could have just told him what she thought about him and break up right there, but not slap him - wtf? She knew what she signed up for! When you know you’re not wanted - step aside, have some dignity. If you don’t respect yourself - don’t be mad when others don’t respect you either. 🤦‍♀️

Hopefully, Max will find a decent guy! Although, there might not even be a 2nd couple 🤷‍♀️ But normally there is… oh well, I guess we’ll have to wait and see 🍿
