It really feels like an alternate universe that Kiew came back to after he almost went back home. Everyone has changed personalities and nothing makes sense. Like people here have noticed, they either switched the writers and the plot took a deep dive, or it better be the alternate universe 🤦♀️ And don’t get me started on the whole “max level treatment” of amnesia - thanks for ruining both Plawan and Kiew for me, writers 😡
This is a cultural thing....My understanding is tootsie is a femme gay man who may or may not cross dress. But…
Thank you :) Yes, I have watched Diary of Tootsies and I loved the series! It’s just in Thai series I watched, men who liked being called “sis” were cross dressing - if not completely, then partially, having some elements of woman’s attire on them. So I’m just trying to understand Chot’s character better. So far, I like him - he’s really nice, trying to give Pat good advice. He looks like a good friend to have 😻
I really liked both leads in their formal suits! Maybe, except for huge bow ties - it could be a fashion though, I am definitely not an expert 🤷♀️
I’m a bit confused about Chot - he said he’s a “toots” while Pat is “gay” since Chot is more femme while Pat is not. Then, Pat starts addressing Chot as “sis”.
But, femme gay man is still a man, right? Chot doesn’t present himself as a “katoy” who dress like girls (at least in Thai BLs). He looks to me just like an effeminate gay man. Why call him “sis”? Sorry, I have only seen “katoys” in Thai series, so I’m just trying to understand better.
What the heck is going on with the subtitles that everyone gets a new name every single damn time?!
Yeah, I still don’t know what the guy’s name is really - Piccolo/Picci/Pizza? 🤦♀️ The way they say it, it’s closer to “Pete”, so I just listen to them in this case 😉
Do I understand correctly that the manager is supposed to train a young actor she took in?
If so, why didn’t she hire a speech teacher for Wayha right away? It looks like he’s been going for auditions for quite some time now, failing them. No wonder, if he can’t pronounce words properly. What was she thinking? Isn’t she losing money like that? He’s good looking, determined, why not just quickly correct a slight imperfection? Just weird way to do business from my point of view, that’s all 🤷♀️
Wow, another “mother of the year” lets her “man” rape her child 🤦♀️ Do we really have to have this in a romcom? I know it happens in real life, too, but I could never wrap my brain around it. There are so many ways to stop the “man” immediately - from a knife to his dick to some bleach in his beer. That’s if we don’t go the “law enforcement” way. I’m sure there are more subtle ways as well so that she could collect his life insurance on top of being free from him. If Thoop was a kid at the time, even if he did something to the bastard he would be underage to go to jail, so there’s that, too. Of course, I don’t know Thailand laws so I might be wrong.
This plot just rubbed me the wrong way, as I am a mother and I would tear the fucker apart before cops could come.
Agreed. She seemed lovely enough & maybe her advice was meant to be from a good place but clearly she doesn't…
For sure! Tane is the star! 😻
And, by the way, I really appreciated the direction and the actress in that scene. Like you noticed, with very short screen time and very few mumbled words she accomplished to show a character and to make an impression. That’s awesome! A round of applause from me to her and the director! 👏🏻👍
Agreed. She seemed lovely enough & maybe her advice was meant to be from a good place but clearly she doesn't…
Oh, I am not attacking her for her reaction to Tane spilling stuff on her. If anything - she didn’t react much to it. Basically, she didn’t acknowledge the boy at all throughout her being on screen - at least, my impression was that she deliberately tried to ignore him as much as she could. That demeanor towards the boy and her words that Minoru has to live his own life clearly showed to me her intention to extract him from his situation. The thing is - his situation is his family and his life. Also, she made it about her: “You are important to ME”, “I will be waiting for you on campus” - ok, wait to you heart’s content 😂
I would be more lenient towards her if she showed more interest in Minoru’s family (Tane), his wants and needs. Then offered her help or even just friendly ear to chat if he wants to. But she didn’t care at all about what Minoru wants or needs. That’s why I don’t like her, although I am not really crucifying her (yet) 😉 That’s just my opinion of the character and the given situation, I really like the series and I hope we’ll enjoy it to the end! 😊🥂

She didn’t seem lovely to me as she wants Minoru for herself, not for him to “live his life”, which he’s already living. She’s trying to extract him from his family without offering any help or solution. So he’s supposed to cut ties with his dad and little bro just to “live his life” with her, the way she sees fit. So, basically, she wants him to “live her life”, and that’s just selfish and immature. I hope she doesn’t show up anymore.
So the girl couldn't be honest with the boss? Like speak TF up, tell him you are not interested. Out of the whole…
I think she was really trying to find out if Souta really had a girlfriend, and if she could get him to like her while “saving” her. The boss really didn’t do anything wrong to her. Worst case - she could have mentioned she has a boyfriend in a casual conversation. Her boyfriend shouldn’t necessarily work with her, just “exist” somewhere. I seriously don’t like her character. She could have easily navigate the situation on her own if she wanted to. But she chose to come to his house on a holiday to ask for something like that 🙄 I seriously thought the boss was handsy and disgusting, but, girl, please! 🤦♀️
My theory is that Tai has the same condition as his father and it looks like he understands better than others…
Yep. Mom seems like a workaholic with business approach for her family as well, while daddy comes off as a pleasant, laidback dude. Again, just first impressions, and I hope they make the parents more than two-dimensional cartoonish characters. It would be interesting to see the tables turned.
My theory is that Tai has the same condition as his father and it looks like he understands better than others…
You might be right, but just hearing about his parents divorce on his birthday out of nowhere was traumatic enough for Tai. He certainly knew about the condition in general and what it implies since he’d been exposed to it all his life through his parents. With his character being on a warmer, more empathetic side (he’s a writer so he can easily imagine what people feel), he’s siding with his father as his mom looks and feels tougher. Of course, he doesn’t know all the facts (neither do we yet), so it’s quite possible his dad was at fault, but based on his parents behavior, he feels closer to his father, I think. Also, now, having the condition himself, he’s having stronger reaction.
Gorgeous kitty! I even did a screenshot of it in that cute fox bed 😻 I need that bed for my cat pronto! 😁 Overall, any drama with animals in it is the best place for unlimited product placement that viewers will actually eat up with no complaints 😂
How is Saengthian the younger one but far more mature than his brother... Saengtai response to his parents divorce…
My theory is that Tai has the same condition as his father and it looks like he understands better than others what his father must be going through while being torn from his soulmate. Hearing your soulmate making out with someone else is not the best soundtrack for sure! 🤦♀️ I don’t know if his mother has that same condition. I didn’t read the book, so I’m shaky on the universe of the novel - is it always both partners that have the condition, or only one of them might have it? If both partners have it and fully realize they are destined to be together but things still don’t work out - that makes it more interesting concept I think.
Just WHY??? 😢🤷♀️

Other than that, let’s see what happens 🍿
I’ve lived in the USA now for about 25 years, though 😉
