Agreed. She seemed lovely enough & maybe her advice was meant to be from a good place but clearly she doesn't…
For sure! Tane is the star! 😻
And, by the way, I really appreciated the direction and the actress in that scene. Like you noticed, with very short screen time and very few mumbled words she accomplished to show a character and to make an impression. That’s awesome! A round of applause from me to her and the director! 👏🏻👍
Agreed. She seemed lovely enough & maybe her advice was meant to be from a good place but clearly she doesn't…
Oh, I am not attacking her for her reaction to Tane spilling stuff on her. If anything - she didn’t react much to it. Basically, she didn’t acknowledge the boy at all throughout her being on screen - at least, my impression was that she deliberately tried to ignore him as much as she could. That demeanor towards the boy and her words that Minoru has to live his own life clearly showed to me her intention to extract him from his situation. The thing is - his situation is his family and his life. Also, she made it about her: “You are important to ME”, “I will be waiting for you on campus” - ok, wait to you heart’s content 😂
I would be more lenient towards her if she showed more interest in Minoru’s family (Tane), his wants and needs. Then offered her help or even just friendly ear to chat if he wants to. But she didn’t care at all about what Minoru wants or needs. That’s why I don’t like her, although I am not really crucifying her (yet) 😉 That’s just my opinion of the character and the given situation, I really like the series and I hope we’ll enjoy it to the end! 😊🥂

She didn’t seem lovely to me as she wants Minoru for herself, not for him to “live his life”, which he’s already living. She’s trying to extract him from his family without offering any help or solution. So he’s supposed to cut ties with his dad and little bro just to “live his life” with her, the way she sees fit. So, basically, she wants him to “live her life”, and that’s just selfish and immature. I hope she doesn’t show up anymore.
So the girl couldn't be honest with the boss? Like speak TF up, tell him you are not interested. Out of the whole…
I think she was really trying to find out if Souta really had a girlfriend, and if she could get him to like her while “saving” her. The boss really didn’t do anything wrong to her. Worst case - she could have mentioned she has a boyfriend in a casual conversation. Her boyfriend shouldn’t necessarily work with her, just “exist” somewhere. I seriously don’t like her character. She could have easily navigate the situation on her own if she wanted to. But she chose to come to his house on a holiday to ask for something like that 🙄 I seriously thought the boss was handsy and disgusting, but, girl, please! 🤦♀️
My theory is that Tai has the same condition as his father and it looks like he understands better than others…
Yep. Mom seems like a workaholic with business approach for her family as well, while daddy comes off as a pleasant, laidback dude. Again, just first impressions, and I hope they make the parents more than two-dimensional cartoonish characters. It would be interesting to see the tables turned.
My theory is that Tai has the same condition as his father and it looks like he understands better than others…
You might be right, but just hearing about his parents divorce on his birthday out of nowhere was traumatic enough for Tai. He certainly knew about the condition in general and what it implies since he’d been exposed to it all his life through his parents. With his character being on a warmer, more empathetic side (he’s a writer so he can easily imagine what people feel), he’s siding with his father as his mom looks and feels tougher. Of course, he doesn’t know all the facts (neither do we yet), so it’s quite possible his dad was at fault, but based on his parents behavior, he feels closer to his father, I think. Also, now, having the condition himself, he’s having stronger reaction.
Gorgeous kitty! I even did a screenshot of it in that cute fox bed 😻 I need that bed for my cat pronto! 😁 Overall, any drama with animals in it is the best place for unlimited product placement that viewers will actually eat up with no complaints 😂
How is Saengthian the younger one but far more mature than his brother... Saengtai response to his parents divorce…
My theory is that Tai has the same condition as his father and it looks like he understands better than others what his father must be going through while being torn from his soulmate. Hearing your soulmate making out with someone else is not the best soundtrack for sure! 🤦♀️ I don’t know if his mother has that same condition. I didn’t read the book, so I’m shaky on the universe of the novel - is it always both partners that have the condition, or only one of them might have it? If both partners have it and fully realize they are destined to be together but things still don’t work out - that makes it more interesting concept I think.
He could be just eliminated from the game. But I don’t think all the guys are signed up with BOC (if any at all). It could be kind of a test for them to see who they want for the agency. Either way, it’s a good platform for the actors to show themselves and maybe get picked by another agency for the skills that are needed there.
Same here. I would have a whole lot of difficulties expressing my feelings for the crowd. Although, I don’t think they REALLY cared about boys opening up. It was more about their acting abilities on steroids - “become a character” at a moment’s notice AND stay in character for the whole day (!) to make other professionals believe you. Perth couldn’t do it, so they eliminated him. He didn’t fit their purpose for this show, but he got a chance to show himself to a wide audience and I hope other companies will pick him up. He’s very cute and strong and determined. I wish him the best! 😻
I just “loved” Pond’s words of wisdom - in the spoiler below.
“Violence can’t be fought with violence!” Really? Are you sure? So, when an adult man beats the shit out of his wife and kids - they should just stay put and smile at him? From what I gathered, JJ is the oldest son in the family. He’s a big boy and I would be actually disappointed with him if he didn’t put his moron of a father in his place. Now, he said that violence stopped. I’m pretty sure the reason why it “stopped” was JJ intimidating the crap out of his father. Cowards like that won’t dare act up when faced with a stronger force.
So, please, in some cases there’s no other way to fight violence unless you want to be found dead in a ditch somewhere. Just my opinion.
So there are pics all over your phone with this guy and you live with him but that doesn't tell you how intimate…
Exactly! Also, your mom and your friends who you trust tell you he’s a good guy and you’re being plain rude to him? Okay. 🤦♀️ I think Bamee is just pissed, honestly, and is milking the situation. If you forgot someone, it should be a clean slate, no emotions at all - neither positive, nor negative. Here, Bamee is just hating Kiew, which wouldn’t be the case if he just forgot him. 🤷♀️
Honestly, I have just been rolling my eyes why people take it at face value that Mon and Jane are a couple. Especially…
Exactly! This plot would be very plausible from the real life perspective, but we all know that BL is a fantasy, not a reflection of a real life. I think that BL to gay movies is the same as Disney Cinderella to a movie about suffragettes 🤷♀️ BL fans prefer to chill with a solid simple romance - and it’s ok. I personally don’t mind these plots. I actually liked all the series you mentioned. It brings in more possibilities for a different type of story, and it makes sense. I’m pretty much open to any stories except “rape to lovers” because it just doesn’t make sense to me and screams “lazy writing” 🤦♀️

Yes, I am not too sure about Jeng and Jaab being brothers, either. Maybe half brothers at best. Jeng’s family picture doesn’t have Jaab in it which would be weird if they were full siblings. They rather have a vibe of a senior helping a junior for whatever reason. Of course, I might be wrong. Both guys are very handsome, but nothing in common. We’ll see 😉
Now, if Jaab was in the same frame with Vegas - I would be definitely sold that they are brothers! 😂
Nice episode! Just wanted to share my theory on our second couple. Honestly, I don’t even think Mon is Jen’s boyfriend. I think he’s either a relative or a friend who’s helping Jen get Jaab’s attention. I mean, who makes jokes about “catching feelings for me”, or “first hookup” with your “bro” while dating someone else? Why would it even be your “first” hookup? Wouldn’t your boyfriend be “it”? Then, Mon is conveniently “tied up with work” and will pick up Jen from Jaab’s apartment… Really? No jealousy at all? Okay, Mon 😉
