I like Yutaro a lot, and I am glad he got casted here. I think he’s one of the cutest actors and fits this role perfectly. I think MLs look great together, and they are already connected since they’ve known each other (and probably liked each other) since school. I also agree with you on the reasons Yutaro’s character was upset - it was definitely not the case of a cheeky delivery boy telling off his customer. 🤦‍♀️

I guess they got such a backlash Pond figured he might as well do some damage control.
1. He shows up as a “voice of wisdom”.
2. They show they care about young actors.
3. They know some actors they are interested in have done questionable things that are searchable on the internet. So, as a preventative strike, air that dirty laundry first, while reminding the viewer that actors are people, too, and they should be able to get a job if they are no longer associated with what they said at the ripe age of 12. 🤷‍♀️
4. Get people invested into the new actors and get the company a new couple that is guaranteed views.

That’s my take on it, and I can’t say it’s completely nuts on their part. They gamble, but it could bring them good money.

Maybe just don’t repeat “you have to lie and manipulate your colleagues here” 🤦‍♀️ Just a thought 😂

I really don’t understand why a producer puts words into a boy’s mouth. When Perth said he’s never been bullied at school, just be happy for him! Instead, Pond says something like “But you actually were bullied. You’ve had your feelings hurt, right?” 😳 Dude, what’s he supposed to say? You’re his boss right now. Is he really going to fight you? Of course, Perth gives in with “Well, yeah”.
Good grief! Being bullied and “having your feelings hurt sometimes” are two completely different stories. Who hasn’t said anything offensive at school? Who hasn’t had their feelings hurt as a teenager? Please! Why is Pond trying to make a huge deal out of something that’s not? I don’t think it helps the actors here or people who actually experienced bullying.

Am I missing something because of translation? I really don’t want to think that this show is going straight for a shock value while manufacturing that value as it sees fit.

Yes. I mean that Alphas are typical males and Omegas are a substitute for females with all the traits and stereotypes of each gender. Normally, Omegas are either cherished to death and become total Mary Sues, or they are looked down upon and have to stay barefoot and pregnant 🤦‍♀️ Webtoons and mangas I read had nothing in between. In addition, as you said, they are rapey af. That’s why I prefer American authors who give it a different spin. Like, Omegas can get pregnant if they want to, but they can also marry a woman and get her pregnant. They’re also different - not everyone is overly feminine and hepless. A lot of them are strong and working good jobs. Basically, they are not two-dimensional. So there’s more of a story than porn with specs of a plot 😉

I was wondering if anyone ever would attempt to do an omegaverse story. It would be interesting to see. Granted, a lot of them are too cliché and even more heteronormative than most BLs (if that’s possible) 😂 But some are actually not too bad - I read some by American authors.

I don’t think he could possibly have the tattoo since they were placed into the bodies of people who lived at that time. They didn’t time travel in their own bodies. So the Lord’s body didn’t have the tattoo.

Bed Friend - I actually liked the series taking care of the pedo stepdad by actual law! That’s a very novel idea for a BL - good job. Of course, I don’t need to say anything about NetJames visuals. They are among most handsome actors, and they have good chemistry with each other. Plot is a bit on a side of dumping problems on Uea with others having to help him a lot. But I read the novel before I watched the series, so I understand his character better and he’s made progress.
So, all in all, I am having fun!
