Exactly. To me, if you dare go there and portray such serious issue - do it right, or don’t do it at all. Instead of getting yourself off on rape scenes, properly show the aftermath. Show how to deal with it, give your character proper channels to cope with trauma, maybe don’t throw them into the same situation twice within the same book? And ffs, punish the perp so that everyone can feel that punishment was just. Don’t just mention “we won’t see him again”. Excuse me, if you made me see the shit you did to a good guy, you better let me see the perp being miserable. Sorry, I am petty like that.

From what I see in the comments from people who read the book she actually had Sky gang r*ped AGAIN before Pai managed to get there. So the series toned it down a lot.

The only thing her shows do right is casting very talented handsome actors. That’s it. If it wasn’t for MewGulf, I don’t think Tharntype would be that successful. Same here. I like the actors but I can’t stand her writing anymore. So I will be happy to support the actors once they get new series with another writer.
