i started road home! i like the snowy landscape. brings me back to this drama. so far its not too bad. I havent been sucked in yet but its a nice distraction.

phew. i thought i was the only one who felt this way.

tried my best to watch her in that drama with yunxi and she just looked indifferent at best with him.

sounds like some type of propaganda? its weird that a series would want to be secretive about it. Wouldnt they want to create hype?

it’s crazy how the producers or whoever think it’s okay to wait this long. like fans can move on so quickly with all these dramas that are coming out. I mean yeah I’m excited for s2 now but who’s to say I won’t find another obsession in 3 months and all of a sudden I forget about this one? you gotta think about this, Tencent!

for me, it’s like he’s there to just play the game. but that’s not the point of Hi6. it’s to provide entertainment for the audience and in this case promote his show. and I think he was nervous bc he kinda messed up alot too like 321 look this way he just stood there, or he would repeat other people’s answers with the hand holding question round. also with the kicking round, they were supposed to slowly bid higher but he told his partner just bid much higher, we got time sir! i think whenever he came on screen I always felt a little cringed bc it felt like he was going to “mess up” so it was mainly him just being somewhat bland through the show for me and his reactions towards other’s funny moments.

and I guess I have to be real, I was comparing him to WL. which isn’t fair I know… WL’s been in the industry for a while so he knows what to say how to act and what to do. “I’m going to kick it to Beijing” and his “oh my face is a little dry today” like that’s charisma on a variety show. thats not part of the game. kinda see where I’m getting at? that’s not to say WXY is going to be like this forever, that’s why I say I’m excited to see his growth

oh nice good to know. so there wuxia, xianxia and historical costume drama? is that the three categories?

I’ve been scouring threads everywhere, on X, YT, Reddit etc. Some folks said it’s on Youku’s list of 2024 dramas. another person said because it’s a wuxia drama, post film editing doesn’t take as long as xianxia so about 6-9 months of editing. most people say if we’re lucky, by the end of this year.

I just tried to find the wrap up video or some posts about the end of filming for my journey to you and see how long it took to air the drama from that point but I can’t seem to find it. I figured that would be an okay indicator of how long editing for wuxia drama at this day and age would take. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I really wonder if it’s because ZJM is his first costar who’s actually younger than him so he can settle in his protective boyfriend role much more easily. they’re both young too so they can goof off offscreen and then get down to business onscreen.

yes! I’m really surprised by WXY being able to convincingly act older and more mature. in here and in SOKP. I watched him in the Hello Saturday episode and his inexperience in the industry is pretty apparent. not in a super bad way but just…in the way an actor would be able to work the crowd, he can’t do it just yet. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for him.

I noticed Viki has mediocre subs at the beginning and later on, the subs change to better translations and sometimes even with descriptions

Till this day, hearing an AoL song at a chinese restaurant brings me back to this drama. This drama somehow latched onto my soul.

I havent heard a single thing. There isnt even a poster for s2. Its like its been forgotten or something.
