I’m here from AASOL. I need another drama to pine for and I have selected this one esp since ZJM is in it and ZLH is one of my boos too 🤣and the waiting begins. 🕦
we all know how wordy i've been for the past 2 weeks but i still wanted to share my final overall thoughtswatching…
I agree with everything you said!! the innocent interactions between the two of them was everything. the drama was so good I couldn’t wait to find out what happens next so I read half the book. basically I spoiled things for myself bc I have no self control. but because I did that, the book showed a lot more passionate and intimate scenes so the drama definitely fell short of that for me. like you said, yeah the hugging, hand holding and kisses were cute but I feel like all that was done in moderation because the actions didn’t reflect how much they really loved each other. and it felt like the drama would build up romantic tension but not really release it in a satisfying way. it just…wasn’t enough for me. Chinese censorship is what it is I guess.
haha I also said not much happens in this drama because it’s true! so I understand why some people dropped it. It was cute that all the supporting characters supported them but I also wouldn’t have minded some jealousy, some conflict, some drama. after all, that’s what makes dramas exciting for me.
I’m rewatching their hello Saturday interactions to pass the time and pacify the obsession and man they reeeeeally are SO CUTE. the producers found the right leads to play and promote this drama
Upon checking his drama list, looks like he doesn’t have much romance drama? I wanna watch other dramas of him…
yeah….i wish we had another one to look forward to. rumor on here is that he will be focusing on movies more instead of dramas. apparently movies make more money and lead to more brand deals as some folks have said on here. it also takes less time to film. he’s so excellent in dramas though, a joy to watch!
I don't want to but I can't help it. I really ship these two main leads together in real life. Leo Wu has chemistry…
I agree his chemistry with ZJM is different than with his other leads. if I had to guess, I think it’s because of her age. he finally got a costar younger than him so he’s able to really sink into that protective role even more so.
They actually did the deed? when? Also, by end of ep 26, her period is late…is she pregnant or not? spoilers…
episode 27 at the beginning she hugs him from behind and simply says, “no” or “there isn’t” that would be rough Chinese translation given the context. she was referring to her possible pregnancy
yooooo that was a journey. I felt like these last 8 episodes were so fast paced compared to the beginning 22 episodes. I liked this drama alot. I'm so sad it's all over, feeling pretty lost right now. I think this drama is definitely a romantic slice of life drama. I feel like there weren't too many dramatic elements. It focuses on the growing relationship of two people and one man's love for a sport he prematurely abandoned.
Wu lei's performance in this is so spectacular. I thought his sad scene kneeling in front of his coach's alter was excellent but for some reason I felt like his proposal was an even better showcase of his acting range. I felt like I was looking into someone's private proposal. This man was able to exude happiness, sadness, relief, love and even some embarrassment all in his face in one go. He just freaking loved her so much. And her response was so well done too. The intimacy they were able to build throughout this show is mindblowing and I think i'll be using this as the standard moving onwards. If its not like WL and ZJM's relationship, I'm not watching it. xD
Lastly, thanks to all the new friends I made here on this drama. Looking forward to seeing ya'll in the next hit. <3
I like Wu Lei pretty much, but in this drama, the script is just meeh...I read this review on Viki. This reflects…
you know it’s interesting because I can see why people feel this way. it’s actually quite boring. there really isn’t much conflict and the drama focuses around the leads’ growing relationship and it grows slowly. the fans def get fed with glances and small touches but they also don’t speak much and a lot of it is in their body language they have when they’re around each other.
but man I’m really obsessed with this drama. I personally feel the chemistry between the leads and look forward to seeing them onscreen. and of course I love WL and ZJM so alot of it comes down to personal preference. I don’t think I would have stuck around for this if it was some other leads that I’m just meh about. I really wouldn’t mind if they had a bit more conflict though. I mean, that’s why I watch dramas, for the drama.
