I guess I think of it like, Hong family probably wouldn’t want to associate with common folk people. they would assume commoners are after their money. but if they meet a seemingly equal invidual with status and financial backing, then they would be less inclined to think he/she is after their money. they’d probably want to join hands with them to be even more powerful

I do think he escaped murder rather easily but as someone described above, the thing with lawyers is they assess the entire situation and find the weakest point. then they blow it up to create doubt for the judge/jury so they can swing the case their way. so in this case, hyunwoo probably knew the trust or relationship between that real estate scammer and Eunsong was faltering. OR he was taking a gamble just bc Eunsong is not a trustworthy person to begin with. so he blew it up and created doubt in this scammers mind that Eunsong isn’t going to follow through and tHAT coupled with eunsong’s response was enough for him to lose all faith. PLUS hyunwoo recited punishment to him, he could either get probation with pleading or 20 years. so bad guy is probably thinking wait should I risk this??

People with money and power are attracted to those with money and power. Haeins mom is no different and Eunsong has both of those things.

it was me. guilty! we already know their relationship is developing. i'd rather that screentime be used for the leads, it was just too long. i do like that moment they shared about taking care of her dad. that was foreshadowing of what was to come. i think that scene with probably some longer gazes and sweet music would have been enough to convince the audience that their relationship is blossoming. no need for mom getting lost. but thats just meeee

yahh a few of us are suspecting that on here. reminds me of Khaleesi taking that fat king to his vault in GoT only to find nada in there. 'Twas a power move. But in this case, its prob somewhere, just not the vault anymore.

i think Terra means the protagonist often thinks what theyre doing is for the greater good but in reality its not very wise and ends up hurting themselves and those around them. And this kind of trope happens all too often in dramas.

Interesting! I love an unpopular opinion. I loved this drama. I think the acting was top tier and the story just kept us guessing until the end. Writing was great and the relationship between the soldiers and the captain and captain Ri was also so entertaining. What would make this drama better for you?

I love villians who have a reason behind their evilness. Theyre not just evil because they want to watch the world burn. But its their circumstances that forced them into being who they are. Another evil villian that i absolutely despised was Soo-ah from My ID was gangnam beauty. I rewatched it recently and i forgot how much i hated her. But then we realize they grew up without love and they had to learn how best to survive. so, yes! Great villian!

gotta agree about the whole bed scene thing in episode 12. I thought it was weird already seeing him on the couch in the AM but i completely forgot they shared a bed in Germany and they both agreed, same bed forever until the end of time so now im bothered. she literally woke up from her mini coma and first words to him were i love you, i always have and still do.

i, too, am very tired of side characters getting unnecessary screen time. the ladies at yongduri? pls stop showing them. im good.

i think youre also right about the climatic parts losing its impact. how she let Eunsong gaslight her into lying to Hyunwoo that she wants to go see her grandfather. like... dude. did we just take 2 steps forward and 10 steps back? Hyunwoo can take you to the house and drop you off and wait for you outside if that were the case. make it make sense please.

I hope we get a kiss scene that surpasses IOTNBO's birthday kiss scene; that video has 20M views on youtube. We all know KSH has it in him.

i dont think the drama will show many redeeming qualities of her. i think it'll moreso be pity points that the audience will have for her. like maybe she was blackmailed into her position or she was abused by the baby daddy.

I just dont see how she can redeem herself by siding with the bad guys that ultimately bankrupted (albeit temporarily) her husbands eNTIRe family. AND she had a hand in almost murdering her husband's sister who is terminally ill. like.. no amount of "sorry i'll return all your money" is going to help regain trust in her.

a lot of unnecessary scenes i feel in this past episode:

1) the rat's demented mother getting lost and them finding her via the drone
2) the three ladies asking Hyunwoo's sister if they should like dahye or not
3) Soochoel and older brother spent forever discussing older brother's wife's relationship. and they even flashbacked to how Hyunwoo's mom is so carefree. i hope theres more to that story or that was a waste of time too.
4) The new "police unit" in yongduri being discussed for like 5 minutes??

like this stuff can be in episode 4 or 5 but not in episode TWELVE with 4 episodes left.
