Found censored kissing scene..😭😭😭 They're robbing us of good stuff..https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSFYrbsBr/
I’m pretty confident we were constantly being robbed. esp the scene on the couch. err two couch scenes. all we got was the initial peck. I wonder if the actors are like “ugh why did we have to film this entire sequence if they’re only going to show initial contact? might as well just film the simple peck”
that episode was a filler for me. 😩 a little disappointed since that was THE MOMENT they get to see each other again. I suppose the drama wanted to highlight how shy they are around each other
LY got jealous and tried to solve the problem by a forced kiss that offend YG.
I think she wanted to talk things through with LYY but he somewhat dismissed that by saying I still got things to do. I got this and this I gotta take my brother back so she’s probably thinking. okay well what the heck? what about us? what about this conflict we should be resolving? and he thought kissing her would solve the problem but she just wasn’t having it. she was already frustrated with him bc she said so you have problems with me now bc of what my mom said??
I was waiting for this conflict since I read it in the novel. what’s a romance drama without some obstacles to ignite the passion they have for each other? now we get to look forward to their reunion! (it was…quite the reunion in the book) the only qualm I have about this conflict is it’s just so unbelievable. how can this adult woman still be angry at this young guy who was just a kid back then? feels like a stretch.
For anyone saying that her mother is reasonable or right. She's nowhere near that. She openly admitted to disliking…
yeah I feel like older people her age would appreciate him coming up with a cup of tea. like “no need, you were just a kid back then! look how well you’ve grown!” the fact that she turned him away was a little too dramatic
ok i know i said I’m gonna join u guys rewatch it. but I got stuck at ep 4 and suddenly found myself reading…
oh man I totally get it. I told someone on here that reading MTLnovel is 50% reading the novel and 50% guessing what the novel is trying to tell me. 🤣 I’ve never wanted to know how to read Chinese this badly 😮💨
Li qing yan? I think nah..if I'm not mistaken someone from the show implied lin yi yang is yg's first love/bf..
speaking of Li Qing Yan, the way MengXiaoTian described him as his “future brother in law” made it sound like she and him have a great relationship. maybe not romantic but very friendly since they grew up together. but upon his entrance, this girl like obVIOUSly had zero feelings for this guy. like she is the definition of not interested. there was no question. so that was a little odd to me.
I ask myself this all the time. there’s no way this guy has this type of moxie when doing what he does with this woman with no experience. he’s like no trial no error, but 100% pass rate.

I read the English translation so someone fill in the gaps if this is incorrect:
they were parked for stargazing. he unbuckled her seatbelt and moved his seat back. she repositioned herself onto him, basically straddling him. he tries to restrain himself from kissing her. but they hug and kiss. he asks her for consent but she doesn’t respond. they move to back seat. he lays out a towel on the leather seats. they kiss a lot. he kisses her lips, chin and behind her ears. the novel mentions the ample amount of sweat on both of them esp LYY’s abs and how it’s dripping down towards his tattoo. the vibe is then killed when she talks about the fogginess of the glass and refers to the scene in the Titanic.
and I guess that’s fine too that the author did that but I just felt like all the dodging she did and all the times she said no made it felt like the author was going to make it a grand moment. I wish they at least wrote it as it happened and not like “oh so he’s back in China now but a year ago this happened.” I feel like the couple deserved their moment. I’m not even asking for explicit detailing 🤦🏻♀️just present tense. okay, this is happening. I think that’s why I was like wait what? th-they done did it already? felt like an afterthought.

oh awesome I’m glad you’re also reading. I’m on chapter 41. I was reading MTLnovel up to chapter 46 and realized I can’t live life like this bc the translation was too horrendous. I found the chinese novel and am having google translate the page. so I’m basically going back and rereading.
someone below asked when was the first time they actually slept with each other and I didn’t really catch that in the novel did you? I just remember the part when the novel retrospectively talks about that when they met each other on their birthdays and on one of those birthdays, they stayed home for two days doing the deed. but there was never really a scene in present tense that mentions it was their first time, right?
When was the first time they slept together? is it mentioned in the novel? because i have heard, the novel is…
this is a great question because I have the same question. from what I’ve read, the novel doesn’t actually describe the scene but does say they did it. but I forget which chapter but around chapter 40 ish the book says LYY comes back to China. and then it talks retrospectively that during the year they were apart, they met each other twice - once for each of their birthdays. and one of those birthdays the book says they didn’t leave the house for two days and basically did it all over the room, the bed, couch, windowsill. that’s the first time I read that they “did it” but it certainly wasn’t in present tense. the English translation is really bad so again, if someone read the Chinese novel please correct me!
wait no I have to take it back. I think it’s episode 7 with the whole lighter scene. because I remember gasping when he tossed it over to one hand, grabbed her hand and would not stop caressing it despite all the distractions around them. and of course my heart nearly exploded when he asked if he could hug her. 💥❤️🔥
