It looks like a season 2 to finish up the story is possible, so don't give up hope yet.

Has it been officially announced? I know after some of my own digging that the way this ended was intentional with the possibility of a season 2 if this season did well, but there was nothing confirmed. (I'm the one who wrote two novels farther up in the comments reporting what I'd discovered, lol.) I hope there will be a season 2. It's probably the least polished (in terms of writing) version of the story so far, but I enjoyed the quick pace of this version a lot as it lessoned some of the over-the-top angst of the original.

I watched Shomuni 2013 without knowing really anything about it or that it was the a sequel to three earlier dramas. It must have been entertaining enough, because I remember finishing it, but it must not have been that Good, because I remember very little about what happened In it, lol. I'll have to check out the first three seasons now.

Well, fingers crossed for a season 2, lol.

'10 episodes is all there is to it. The Japanese remake meant to feature only the first half of the original anyway. I won't be surprised if there'll be news of a S2 though since it's very popular. But as of right now, nothing has been decided yet.'

And to be fair, FOD had always introduced the drama as a remake of the first half of the original. Probably, to set clear expectations and at the same time offer viewers something to look forward to. So the confusion is only among us English speaking viewers.'

Ah, so it makes sense for them not to advertise it on the main part of their site then. By chance, do you know if the version you can find on the illegal sites with subs is the original version that was posted to FOD or the edited version that's airing on FujiTV?

Was there always a plan to have a season 2 then? Cause only filming the first half of the story and leaving the whole thing bizarrely open ended doesn't make much sense. Why would they do that if they weren't going to film the rest as well?

It's not in this list so you might not know anything, but have you possibly heard anything about the Japanese remake of Fated to Love You? That has to be what they are doing, because it doesn't make any sense otherwise.

So I've done some digging, and here is what I've dug up.

The lead actress has posted a few pictures from the production on her Instagram within the last two weeks. They're from earlier eps, but it's something at least.

Fuji TV's Fuji on Demand service appears to have all of the episodes available if you have a subscription to the service. (Ep 5 appears to be free right now for anyone to watch in case you are interested.) According to my Google translate, ep 10 is called FINAL- Two Decisions, so it's definitely the last episode of at least this arc of the story.

That being said, when I search Fuji's regular site for the drama, there's no information on it. So that's weird.

All of this to say....I don't know what's going on with this drama, lol. My guess is this is just the first half and there will be a second half released at a later date. Hope this helps someone somewhere, lol.

That is so funny, lol! I haven't watched that drama in ages, and for some reason, I didn't think the leads had any chemistry, so I didn't enjoy it. I plan on re-watching it at some point to see if I might change my mind, and I look forward to seeing this bizarre blouse, lol.
