The Pages of a Fairytale
On Hello, My Twenties! Season 2 Aug 14, 2017
So I'm sad the actress who played the lead in season 1 isn't returning, and I think that's always gonna be in the back of my mind, but I'm Still insanely excited for this. This was one of my favorite dramas last year and one of my favorite dramas of all time. It definitely needed a second season, mainly to tie up all of the loose ends they left hanging, but I wasn't expecting that to actually happen. I mean, second seasons are basically the unicorns of Asian dramas, lol. But here we are, getting a second season. I'm basically ecstatic right now, lol.

I'm not very fond of the amnesia thing, is it very central in this drama? How many episodes is he not remembering…
The amnesia plays out a lot better in this drama than it does in most. It's never used to force the leads apart or as an excuse for them to make bad decisions. He regains bits and pieces of his memory over time, much closer to what amnesia (the kind where you actually regain your memories) is like in real life. It is very central to the plot, but in a good way. And Louie is a decent guy from beginning to end so none of that 'I've become a good person, but oh! I've got all my memories back/I've lost all my memories, so I'm going to revert back to being an asshole' nonsense.

So I started watching this on Crunchyroll last week, but when I went back today to continue, all the episodes were gone. Have they removed them from the site? Does anyone know?

2 episodes in underwhelmed. The hype was real, but it doesn't seem to deliver. It's too all over the…
Apparently, they just aren't getting a good look at each others faces, because every time they run into each other, he's flailing around so much trying to keep her from seeing him. Unfortunately, the scenes aren't filmed in a way that conveys this information, so to us, it makes no sense that they don't recognize each other at this point, because they've clearly looked each other directly in the eyes multiple times. They should have made it more clear by filming more up close and personal during those scenes so we can see exactly what they are seeing instead of far way so that all we see is what appears to be them looking directly at each other. I'm willing to go with it though, as that's not a writing flaw but a filming one (and a small at that), and I personally am really enjoying the story and characters so far.

it doesn't seem like an introverted boss. It seems like a boss with social anxiety, tbh
Well, Introverted Boss sounds a lot better than My Boss has Massive Social Phobia, lol.

It is a nice drama but they focused too much on Bok Joo having a crush on his brother. Not enough episodes focused…
I'm actually pretty happy with the length. Maybe an episode or two more would have been nice, but 24 would have been too long. The story was nicely wrapped up and our character's sent on with their lives, and I'm happy with that.

I disagree. We didn't get to spend a lot of time watching Bok Joo fall for him, but Joon Hyeong was falling for her from the minute the first episode started. He was so obviously crushing on her, and he didn't even know it. Constantly teasing her, always showing up where she was, making it his mission to intrude into her life and be her friend. He was a gone man from the start. We just had to give Bok Joo some time to come around.

I have to disagree with all the comments saying the leads are awful and the second male lead is too mean and that…
Thanks for the recommendation!

Try to watch it on the male lead perspective.
I completely disagree with your opinion about the drama, Gongyoooppa, but this comment was hilarious. "I watched it from my cats point of view. It still sucks." I can't stop laughing, lol.

Title Introverted Boss Spoiler
Agghh dude Kang Woo Il is not your bestfriend. Be careful!
Dude! I'm so worried for our leads right now. Please, drama gods, let them figure out what's going on and team up to take down the Real bad guys.

I have to disagree with all the comments saying the leads are awful and the second male lead is too mean and that the story isn't good. Two episodes in, and I'm pretty much in love with this drama. I love, love, LOVE the leads. I think they are adorable and sweet and very easy to root for. I think people are right that the second male lead is an asshat. Because he Is an asshat. And he's clearly Supposed to be. That's not a flaw in the writing, it's a conscious choice. And actually a very interesting one considering how common sympathetic, sometimes doormat, second male leads are in Kdramas. Not against that particular trope, but I am glad to see the writers do something different. As for the story, it's not what I was expecting. It's a lot heavier in tone than the teasers and trailers suggest, and I was initially disappointed by that, but after watching the first two eps, I'm very much ok with the stories overall direction. There's some real deep stuff going on. I also find it interesting how everything initially Seems like it's all a big coincidence, but it's actually not. I think it's a very welcome twist on the frequently used cliche. So yeah. I have to disagree with almost everyone else here, lol. This drama is awesome so far.

Person Dean Fujioka
For anyone interested, Dean has a small recurring role on a Canadian show, The Pinkertons, that released its first season this past year. It's a pretty fun show, and his character is pretty awesome. It's also available on Netflix.
