I loved this show so much and I'm going to miss tuning into it every week. Great story, kept its pacing throughout and had a satisfying ending as well. Also Sunmi's OST for this is *chef's kiss*!
😢Is it getting in to standard “Kdrama trope” territory? It was so nicely written and fresh…🫣
Not even just drama trope territory, it's just terrible writing, I mean even last episode when they're in her room and things are supposed to be getting hot and heavy he's like "I'm having bad thoughts" because he wants to sleep with her- name one grown ass man in his mid-30s that would say that?
And today's episode - they communicate like they're still toddlers and Seunghyo's character is constantly falling onto the yell at her first listen to her later cycle.
I'm just bummed. It started out so well, got better and then just tripped over itself and landed on its face.
Sighs. I loved how this show started, but it's spiralling into increasingly immature territory that has less to do with the banter between people who've known each other their whole lives and more the script writer failing to portray 30+ something adults as 30+ something adults. I feel like I'm watching 15 year olds navigate their first relationship.
I'm almost close to begging for Hyeonju's character to make a comeback because that looked more realistic than whatever is happening now.
How could they do this to us? I thought the conflict and angst would come from Ziaowa vs Li Si but no, they had to go and take our hearts and step all over it.
I really enjoyed the first episode, I laughed, I aww-ed. Min's an awful kidnapper but so whipped. That whole sequence with drunk Q and Min's expressions did me in. I'm sold. Definitely a strong start to the drama, waiting to see how it keeps the pace.
Just watched ep 3-4. I'm so invested in this. It's really good and even though it's not "BL" they've done a good job of making it BL adjacent/bromance. Like the tension is *chef's kiss*
It's such a good show but I don't think I can take Joe and Ming being end game. I detest Ming, he's emotionally abusive and just a terrible, manipulative person. I don't know how they're going to redeem his character but somehow nothing is going to feel like enough.
I now feel empty that the show is done. It was so good. Addressing some of the comments here, the NC scene was pretty standard for a BL, the frustrations probably stem from what the actors said to expect and what the editing team finally gave us. Possibly the one shortcoming with this show is the editing team - they were a let down and diluted the strength of the actors on more than one occasions which is a shame. But it's not going to ruin the show for me. It's still a 10/10 BL and needs to be the gold standard of emotional depth and plot justice. I do hope they'll release a special episode to give us more of the happily ever after but in the mean time I guess it's time to rewatch it again.
Even knowing all of this I still think It was dumb of him to go. We know he just went to talk to talk to Le ge…
In this case his fear of Qian getting hurt surpassed reason, also that's what makes it realistic is that Yuan was operating only off of the information he had with him which was a) Hu was after Qian, b) Le Ge was back and his best bet of stopping Hu c) The only place he remembers Le Ge being was that decrepit warehouse from when he was young. He couldn't have known Le Ge had already shut Hu down. Yuan went in knowing that Hu being there was a possibility and a risk but it was one he was willing to take because again his only thought was saving Qian and stopping any possibility of him getting hurt. He only told Qian that he was going on a business trip, it was Qian who did his own digging out of fear of Yuan acting unlike himself.

That hand biting scene had me collapse. I need more.
Highly underrated. Easy 8.5+ at least.
