Ming Yi has suffered so much emotional manipulation and is told she is only worth anything if she can provide/meet…
Yes! That's why I'm so mad!
Like the why have they not used this time to explain the FL arch so people can understand!
I know they will go through it later but they still have other plot points they could have explored. Like the 6 realm contest is such a big plot point and I hope they don't rush it because they spent too long on this.
But they've diverted from the novel a lot so far so I don't really know what to expect. If they tie and end everything nicely then I can forgive them a bit though lol

It's because the writers want to prolong the drama but it's looking like all gets revealed next episodes so I'm hoping we can finally put this past us.
While I understand the intention they have dragged this out plot point longer than it should have. In the novel they wrapped him finding out nice and quick and moved on to something else so I don't know why writers have extended it so much here other than to emphasis drama.
Sheβs not thinking with logic but with trauma, Ming Yi was raised to hide, survive, and protect her pride not…
Okay, tell someone who has been traumatized and used all their life that they're an adult now and need to "grow up" and force them to reveal their secrets when they are not ready.
That makes even less sense. Would you say that to an abused person? Everyone has their own timeline of growing and trusting.
so many people very passionately mad at mingyi over here but this is just my take bcus i think both mingyi and…
Yeah, it's a bit disappointing as the novel reader that they've really glossed over her suffering. She was used all her life and heartlessly tossed away as soon as she was not useful anymore.
They've only show tid bits which doesn't help casual viewers connect to her unless you actually think about her situation in depth.
I am assuming they will explore her backstory more in depth later though? If they don't I'll be really disappointed as they are doing a disservice to the character.
for real.. or you just being hopeful? wait.. is it staged?
It's because I follow people on X that always post BTS content about drama.
In a filming BTS, they show Minyi, Bozai, Bu Xiu and 27 taking photos together in costume. 27 has white hair though. I wish I could attach screenshot.
I actually saw this a couple of days ago but I didn't realize that 27 would be dying so I didn't think anything of it at the time (other than noting his hair color change).
But she was just about to confess too until Bozai said she's not after GMD - worst timing possible π
I don't think it's even just a C-drama trope. It happens so much in K-drama too lol πππ I can't escape it, why they always write their characters like this π ahaha
someone spoil me was 27 died in the novel??ππ
Drama has added quite a bit to novel so it's not the same story.
27 is essentially a different character in the novel. He is a young boy/orphan Mingyi helped, brought up and trained - he is never hurt.
Mingyi's spirit beast in novel is sassy, white cat that can basically defeat anything easily - it doesn't have a human form. It basically just strolls up and wacks unruly large beasts on the nose and they just whimper off - I love it's attitude so much.
Goddamn, they are always blocking her girl boss moments.
but it looks like in next 2 episodes trailer he finds out.
