Mi Kyung only schemed to create closeness without real feelings and without natural consent from Sang Su. Their first-time bedding together is the perfect example. They were at her home chatting casually. Why did she not make her move there if she wanted him so badly? Why they bid their farewell and then later she knocks at his door and says she wants to spend the night? A Very unnatural and unromantic move that forced him to bed with her when he was not really disposed. She did that to force a physical and emotional commitment from him.

Mi Kyung did not gift him a suit. She purchased one for him for a very good reason. Usually, gifts are made to please people and wrapped in a nice box. Why Mi Kyung did not put it in a nice box and gave it to him but she put it in his locker at the bank? Because she planned to introduce him to her friends, but she needed him to wear a 5 million won suit not a 200 000 won suit. She wanted him to look good and rich so he would compliment her in front of her friends. In short, she "gifted" him a suit for herself, for her own interest and satisfaction. This is why she put it in the locker so he can wear it at the end of the day and meet her at the hotel. All this was just manipulating Sang Su.

Same with the car. Why Mi Kyung did not gift it to him some days earlier. Put it in a huge box. Prepare a dinner. Gift him the key in a nice little box... No, the car suddenly arrived when they all went out of the hotel so her friends can see how luxurious it is. There is no coincidence. It is a staging schemed by Mi Kyung to make her bf look rich so she would not lose face because of his old car. Car or suit. Same purpose.

Of course, she wanted him to have a new car aside from that sequence. It was her way to love him. It was the embodiment of her affection for him. But this is not how you love someone. She made him feel belittled like his rich gf bought him a car because he cannot afford it. Mi Kyung failed to understand that he would want a nice car from his own hard work and not from his rich gf. This showed that she did not understand him and just she did whatever she wanted without considering his feelings. That’s the contrary of Love.

Mi Kyung was too selfish and missed the chance to be genuine and sincere with Sang Su. Ok he did not put much effort to open himself to her. But she wanted him. She should have done better.

ES and NC are just old cow eat young grass and another pair of cheaters in the world. Yes, cheaters can be in love too. That's the message of the drama I suppose.

I hoped EK had a good reason to go that path of destruction of the lives of her closest friends, but her justification is not valid. They used her because she let them use her and it was ok for her until her life collapses because she broke up with her ex. I thought there is some big secret between them but no, EK is slipping into madness.

EK does not even want CW. She is just psycho and wants to harm people around her because she thinks she is their victim. She needs a cure of she will end at the bottom of a cliff.

I still have some kind of sympathy for EK even if she is slowly slipping into madness. I think she is on a path of self-destruction. That would be the logical conclusion of her pathetic life that she blames on others but she is the main cause. There is no way CW will divorce BD to choose her when he knows how manipulative she has been. She is doomed unless BD saves her.

The romanticization of the affair between ES and NC is disgusting indeed. NC is just another cheater who has a joyride with his younger employee. ES is a spoiled brat who turned an old man into her personal toy. Now she is worse than a spoiled kid who makes a fuss because her candy is going to be taken from her. She is even ready to play homewrecker. Funny that she lectured her sister to get our of a wrong relationship but she gladly got herself into one and refuses to get out of it.

Two pathetic crazy sisters.

This drama is dwelling more and more in trash and craziness...

After watching 3 eps, it is quite good so far. I like the two leads . Physically, they compliment each other well. I like the funny dynamic they have and the chemistry is ok. Good that they did not make it hugely complicated to become a couple. It changes from the slow burn romances. The challenge is how it will hold for so many eps remaining. Some angsty moments but I have seen worse in lakorns.

I just don't get it with the grand father I mean, why he is so prejudiced against women. Also the plot is too thin for now. Need to rise the stakes.

I love this series. I am even a little bit obsessed by these characters that are clearly not the usual kdrama characters. Really curious to see how it will end for each one of them.

So, he knows better what is wrong in the Sang Su's actions. It is nice to have a friend like that who decides for you what is right and what is wrong and push you to follow his logic and if you don't, he would take action to help you save yourself. The guy is dishonest and taking actions behind the back of his "friend" without consulting him to obtain a result his friend does not want but he wants it for him. No real friend would do that.

Kyung Pil is a nosy busybody who has his own motivations that are not to help his dear friend. He acknowledged Soo Young's beauty, and he weighted his options, but he was still having headache of a four years failed relationship. If not, he would have tried, and he is trying now several years after.

There is absolutely no clue that he still loves Mi Kyung. They pretended to not know each other when she arrived, and they hid their common past to everyone. They are not in speaking terms. He has never done or said anything to show that he likes her and when he knew Mi Kyung managed to hook up with Sang Su, he did not bat an eyelash. He just wanted his secret to be safe. And now he is pushing Sang Su to be with her when he knows Sang Su does not love her but he does not want Sang Su to be with Soo Young. People who think the poor guy was so in love with Mi Kyung but was forced to dump her but now he is going to win her back or make her happiness... they should know it is not that kind of drama.

But ok, we shall see.

So basically, you are saying that Kyung Pil knows better than Sang Su what is good for him? This is why he was persuading him to not date Soo Young when she was single, to forget about Soo Young? This is why he was provoking him to face his indifference for Mi Kyung? Also pushing his buttons to do what he Kyung Pil thinks is good for his friend? This is why he is acting underhanded to prevent them from interfering? This is why he schemed a plan to make sure Sang Su is disgusted and never approach Soo Young anymore? Will he bang Soo Young for real if all this does not work? I don't think this is what friends do. This is what traitors do. A traitor who has an agenda for Soo Young.

I hope next ep Sang Su shows him what he thinks of his dear friend’s moves to help him underhand. A good punch in the face would not be too bad.

Kyung Pil is an underhanded colleague and certainly not a best friend.

He liked Soo Young's beauty, and he considered his options but dropped the idea because of a failed relationship he had. He knew Sang Su had feeling for Soo Young. Why he was never supportive of his "friend"? He constantly tried to deter him, said to him to not date and hurt a simple teller. He told him to forget about her. He questioned Sang Su's feelings why he liked her. He told him to stop liking Soo Young after he helped her against the manager. He told him he failed to get promoted because of Soo Young. Because he meddled with her issue. He even threatened Sang Su with the story of their cheating friend so Sang Su will not make a mistress of Soo young. He told him to forget his feelings to protect her.

When the manager asked for two persons to go to the subbranch, Soo Young volunteered. Sang Su was on the verge of volunteering. He was about to raise his hand and Kyung Pil saw it and immediately raised his and said he would go. Why he did that to his "friend"?

At the subbranch he overheard Soo Young and Mi Kyung from behind a door. He knew Soo Young was in difficulty because Mi Kyung knew the truth now and she wanted Soo Young to backtrack regarding Sang Su. This is when he decided to go tell Soo Young his lame story to make her adopt the same plan he used against Mi Kyung, to get rid of her bf and of Sang Su and let him be with Mi Kyung.

Kyung Pil never told his common history with Mi Kyung to Sang Su. He hid things to him. He lied to him. He extorted from Sang Su the fact that he is dating Mi Kyung but he stayed silent about what happened between them. He does not care about Mi Kyung. He is overlooking the situation with bitterness because of what happened in the past. He accepted to break up and manipulated Mi Kyung. Now he wants her with Sang Su to obey the rule that people from a same class end up together and he will go have his fun with Soo Young.

At this stage, Soo Young is doing something which will frustrate her, and I can see her really going to sleep with Kyung Pil in a reckless move to put everything behind and go build a new sandcastle somewhere. She always does that. Reckless moves. Just like when she lied to Sang Su she was dating Jong Hyun just to hurt him then she really went to date him. Now she says she banged with Kyung Pil. Probably she will go bang him for real.

I liked her in that drama too. Good acting and endearing character even if she did bad things.

She did it because Mi Kyung pressured her to feel guilty about meddling with Sang Su and to reconsider the situation. She concluded Sang Su will have a better situation and a better life being with Mi Kyung and being the son in law of the Park Group.

If he breaks up with Mi Kyung, he will be at risk to suffer a huge backlash which could destroy his career and future. So, she chose to do what she likes to do: take extreme and atrocious measures like when the dropped Sang Su and ran to the SML. This time she kills two birds with one stone. She gets rid of her bf and of Sang Su at the same time.

Soo Young's decisions were always rash and based on her own understanding only. She was like that when she ran away from her home because her brother died.

But ok, now she can go built a new sandcastle.

But her mom loves her father and sees him as a good man. SML does not love the FL now. She should put an end at their unhappy relationship.

Hyung Pil is a sneaky weasel who knows that Sang Su does not love Mi Kyung and he provoked him to acknowledge it by making him run after Soo Young, the one Sang Su really cares for. Kyung Pil helped Soo Young to scheme a plan and cut ties with her bf and with Sang Su. My opinion is he wants to approach Soo Young see if he will have a chance to bang her. Most male employees of the bank have this fantasy. I guess he is one who will actually try.

I agree with you regarding Soo Young. If she did not overreacted to hurt Sang Su, if she did not misinterpret his hesitation to fit with her insecurities, if she did not go to the SML on a whim... What a mess afterwards. Poor decisions and reactions but people do that. And sometime worse.

After one year of dating someone else, they should have let the remnants of their feelings die. But Soo Young was unhappy. She brought up a discussion about happiness. She led Sang Su in a game of "let's see each other if you are not happy" which led to what we know.

Now there is a new mess because Soo Young apparently wants to prevent bad rumors against Sang Su and leave him be with Mi Kyung so she chose to use the lame scheme Kyung Pil used against Mi Kyung. Couldn’t she just explain her choice to Sang Su? Instead, more confusion and misunderstandings are coming because she was badly inspired by her father and Kyung Pil.

Sang Su was too immersed in his feelings for Soo Young but Mi Kyung did not try. All the things she did with him were schemes for herself. Going to bed with him in the middle of the night, buying him clothes, a car, sending her dad to the bank… all schemes to advance her agenda, to get a hold on Sang Su and use him to compliment herself. She should have done better but maybe she just doesn’t love him even if she says she does. She looks pathetic now, but it is a passage to escape that wrong situation she put herself into.

I sympathize with the ML. I did something like him once. The girl I liked chose to date another guy in front of me. Her younger sister liked me and approached me so I dated her.

I think ML really loved the FL and when she went to date the SML on a whim it must have hurt him so much like a real pain or a void in the chest that he needed to get rid of. SFL asked him out and I understand that he agreed to try to be happy with someone who likes him. Not the best thing to do but hey we are all humans. He told her he was not 100% ready so she got the message. He warned her beforehand. She knew she would need to work on their relationship to make him 100% ready. But
SFL put no efforts in wooing him. She just took him for a trophy bf and used him like a pawn in her schemes.

Agree he was wrong to always look at the FL who was in a relationship but I don't think it can be prevented if you really love someone. This is what this drama is about. In real life, it happens like that. I am not sure who the four leads will end up with but I like to watch them in their painful journey to find love and happiness.

I beg to differ. You can. Not all love stories begin with love at first sight or mutual attraction. Sometimes it takes effort and time to woo the other person. What people used to call "courting" or more recently "seducing". It works.

Mi Kyung never tried to properly make Sang Su fall in love with her. She knew his heart was not set 100% on her but she did not care to make it 100%. She did not mature to see that her lover is her partner and she must not treat him like another tool she uses to obtain gains. He should be her partner in crimes. Instead she took him for a pawn in her crimes. She was even leading him on and lying to him.

If she wanted him to love her, she should have showed him a genuine love, affection, care, attention, understanding... her sincerity. Of course it might not work but at least you tried. She did not even try.

Mi Kyung has a lot of qualities shown in the early eps. If she dropped that selfish scheming side and showed sincerity, sympathy, and her sensitive side at least to her man, she would be a great person to be with and a better prospect than Soo Young who is introverted, gloomy, overthinking and stubborn.
