Yes, very lakorn style when ML is very rude and even awful with FL until it ends well but not before a difficult redeeming phase. I hope the ML will become better after all the usurpation of identity thing

The end does not justify the means. I surely hope they will have a much better communication and a lot more honesty for each other in the next stages of their relationship.

The director and writers focus on either the feelings and emotions of the main leads or the suspense and sense of danger and the fear instilled. The music is either very slow even when they talk about the investigation or random things or it uses a typical and recurrent rythm when the situation involves the bad guys. In the end it is repetitive and it does drag the dialogues, the plot and the pace overall.

I still like the dynamic between the two leads. I also hope it develops and reaches a new step soon. And I am also hooked by the mystery of the death of the husband and the Truth behind. I hope it will be consistent and not full of plot holes.

It is called killing two birds with one stone.

First bird : He acknowledges and implants in her head that he likes her. It is said. He confessed his feelings that she will not doubt and she will surely think about it voluntarily or not late alone in her bed.

Second bird: He used these feelings to mount a package of bs + disrespectful behavior so he can assess her emotional state, where she stands and what kind of morals and integrity she has regarding money.

That's stalking. He leaves her no space to breathe. He is like the guy who likes you and lie to you all the time, keep you in the dark and controls everything you do in order to "protect" you. That's not liking someone. That's being a compulsive manipulator. Sometimes he even dismiss her choices or he is physicallly rude with her but he thinks he is in a position to be. Because he likes her. Hope when he is back to his real identity he will behave differently.

Good thing that FL did not tell him what she was planning. You go girl!

Probably real feelings confessed and wrapped in a whole package of bs in order to provoke and induce FL in error and make her show her emotions and true opinion regarding her situation so he can assess her sincerity and integrity. In short, he is a manipulator.

I would not mind to watch this at speed x1.5 if I could.

Gao Jun spending all his time manipulating the FL, stalking her, checking on her, bullying his way next to her, cornering her to do what he wants... But it is the FL who makes the smart move and finds key elements to advance the investigation. Bravo.

I think so too but he crossed the line. He did not have to push her to that extent and make that lie to get the information he needed. He is playing with her nerves to advance his agenda. That's sick.

OK, ML's new official wife will have a special role as their coach and back up. The interactions between the three of them will be "agreed". But still, I really hoped they would avoid that kind of storyline for the main couple.

Suddenly it is a lot less fun but ok, I am going to hang on until she goes back to her own country and overthrow her dad to become the ruling Queen.

Ep11-12 : Now I remember why I watch so few palace cdrama. I really hate all this official wife/ concubine bs.

Japanese dramas have less audience among MDL users so they are unlikely to have a lot of votes. Plus I have noticed japanese dramas a often rated really bad compared to their quality.

I only have 5 out of these 18 BOTB drama in my top dramas... Different people different tastes. To each his own.

After the Philippines, Thailand is producing its own version of the drama. Good that this drama can inspire remakes with different outcomes.

Strange because she looks more invested in finding the cause of the accident of her husband to save herself from the debt. I would be disappointed if she suddenly falls for the ML when she knows nothing about him. The guy is constantly lying to her. It would be bad to fall for a guy and learn that he has been lying 24/7.

Maybe he is a lawyer or a prosecutor who had to step down after some mistake and he will be reinstated... We shall see.

Probably they will become a couple at ep38.
