EP9 had a slower pace and it was enjoyable after all the crazy events from ep1 to ep8. A few revelations. Just too bad that the ep mainly built up Love interests and the potential romances when we all know most of them if not all of them are doomed to fail. I just hope being driven away in Love won't be the main reason of the decision making for all these people. It will be very sad if this drama ended in a maelstrom of bs out of jealousy.

Can't help but feel bad for Mu Deok. She's being used by Naksu, and she probably wouldn't even recognize Uk if…
With the events at the hut in the forest when she sleepwalked, I thought Mu Deok is ignorant of what is happening and that Nak Soo is with her in her body. Now, I think she is the one who dragged Nak Su's soul in her own body instead of letting it go the body Nak Su chose. She was also able to keep Jang Uk's soul in his own body and she was smiling at him. So for her to be able to intervene in alchemy of souls happening around her and recognizing people, she must be conscious of things at some extent.

If it is only spin offs focusing on secondary characters they can do whatever they want. I am just worried about…
But Naksu is the one who lost her body and cohabiting with Mudeok in Mudeok's body... She should not survive.

JCW is a great actor who has the unfortunate gift of choosing very bad scripts. Melting Me Softly, K2, Lovestruck…
Backstreet Rookie the lead characters are good but the story is bad. Also it has been impaired by an early "scandal" about the main characters and the actors portraying them.

I dropped Melting Me Softly, K2 and finished Lovestruck in the City but I regretted it. JCW is a reliable actor and I liked him since Empress Ki. I laud his will to portray different characters in different genre. The dramas previously mentionned had flaws independently from the actors. The story was uninteresting or draggy or the chemistry or the concept was flawed.

I enjoyed his performance in the Sound of magic. He made me think yeah the guy could be a psycho killer magician. This new drama has everything for him to showcase his acting. Many people are waiting to praise him or to lash out at him. I too will attentively watch this one.

Do you mean Naksu/Mudeok die in part I and Part II is Jang Uk vs a new character looking like Nak Su? ...

Let's wait for more confirmed infos about part II. At this stage it would be just speculations anyway.

i have question why does jang kang doesn't accept jang uk as his own child? even if he don't accept his own child…
Even if it was his body he was not inside so the one who slept with his wife was not him but another guy and Jang Kang's soul inherited the Kings soul's energy. So he is not his son. At least at this stage of the story.

I've been really looking forward to watching this drama but the news of a second season without the same fl is…
I believe part I will have a consistent ending. Maybe not a happy ending but something good enough to wrap the story. Then Part II will probably focus on something else. Other plot lines.

I've been thinking about it some more and I guess I'm ok with FL changing back to og Naksu body, if that's where…
Nak Su soul shifted and unless something extraordinary happens I don't see her surviving. The afterlife is waiting for her...

For tomorrow, FL will start to catch feelings. "He fell first but she fell harder" trope is ❤️‍🔥
She should not. She is "living" on borrowed time in Daeho world. 🤧🙈🙈

How bad is the love triangle?
It is funny because all these guys are smitten by a wandering soul squating a body which is not hers...

If it is only spin offs focusing on secondary characters they can do whatever they want. I am just worried about Jang Uk but logically Nak Su's soul should go to the afterlife (unless there is an incredible twist) so he will have to find a new love interest.

It said Alchemy of Souls (Korean prequel). AOS is the prequel of AOS: Part 2. So this is the sequel of AOS.
Oh ok my bad.... But dang this will raise a lot of questions regarding the ending of AOS Part I.

The drama title is "Alchemy of Souls". It's all about Souls. Everything is connected with Souls. Soul >>>>> BodyI…
What you said is in contradiction with the logic of souls and bodies in Daeho. In the country of Daeho a person is born with a soul and a body in a combination which should last until death part them. So the body is important. The Alchemy of soul is not white magic. It is dark magic. It allows a soul to shift into a body that it basically steals from his rightful owner. It was used in the past and it brought misery on Daeho until it was stopped. Now the soul shifters are chased by mages before they run wild and Jang Kang only performed it because he was ordered by the King and it gave a terrible outcome for him.

So the body does matter and Jang Uk is falling for the combo Nak Su soul + Mu Deok's body. But this is an usurpation. Sooner or later Nak Su will need to get out of Mu Deok's body and go to the afterlife. Because she is dead and she has no right to exist in somebody's else's body or in a dead body she takes over. It is soul shifting and it is forbidden.

If the logic is respected, Nak Su cannot stay unless an incredible twist happens. Maybe she will avenge her parents and eliminate the ones who want the ice stone for power but ultimately she has to go to the afterlife.

This is why this Alchemy of Soul part II is weird. Because if Nak Su is the lead and main female character, it would mean they gave her another reason and another way to stay "alive".

Exactly that was my conflict about the romance of UK and MD that she has Naksu personality but also had real persona…
I like Nak Su (and GJY too). I won't mind her as lead. But Nak Su does not have a body to go to anymore. How are they going to recall or remake her body from ashes? If they can remake a body from scrap and put back a soul in it, they are not mages but almost gods who can guarantee immortality.

I'll be glad to read any theory which could explain how it is possible because so far I can't see how it would happen.

I have a theory... What if the reason directors decided to remove Jung Somin from s2 cuz Mudeok's character (body)…
The Hong sisters have only written 2 sad endings out of their 13 drama so it is not like they usually do it. But I expect this one to not be a happy ending. Either open ending or bitterseet ending.

Title The Deadly Affair Spoiler
The FL is terribly written as a character. She has no coherence. One time she is a boss threatening ML then she…
All that abduction thing and the events on the island were nonsensical and the FL acted illogical, incoherent and erratic. Why she tried to pull off the towel because it was her fiancé's towel? but she would see the ML naked! Probably the writer tried to pull an arc of narration where they come closer to each other and look cute. Terrible idea.

Good thing she came back to her hateful scheming and mean self after they returned to the continent. She is just spiteful because she considers people should be punished according to her own standards. She has no sense of justice or fairness at all. This is why she blocked his way to find a job and rebuild his life.

I have never seen a ML have the FL beaten, bleed like the FL did to the ML here. She needs to learn some lessons...
