It is one rare time I see such a clueless lead couple. They are cute together but they have no idea what is happening. They just stick together and get away with it thanks to some deus ex machina superpower.
Character wise, I like the SML better. Ok he is wooden face but at least he swims with the sharks and tries to help as much as he can. I like Wang Yoon Ho and his son better. The guy is one rare good guy with a brain to act accordingly with his values. I even like Seon Dong Shik that lunatic. At least he is a consistent lunatic. I also love the neighborhood better even if they schemed to take FL to go see a shaman.
Main villain Seon Sam Joon please stop with his mood swings. The guy had ML's mother killed and he ordered attempt killing of ML so what the heck with his love for the woman he kept prisoner for so long when he asks his son to be a ruthless beast? Could not care less about his bs talking.
This drama has cute and funny things but it also has some really nonsensical annoying things... And I have to say (Please do not assassinate me) ML's acting is a bit lacking for a ML actor...
There is a serious trailer and a comedic trailer :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-m5auRYRlY this is a serious…
Loads of suffering here... Please... people have the right to seek happiness with the person they love and the children they wish to have. Do not make them die in the name of something bigger like the people or the country or whatever bs. They look so good. I just want them to end up together and happy forever after.
Where do you think Xi Jinping's Mao suit came from? Why do you think people shake hands in China now? Why chinese…
Nowadays people from around the world can play an orchestra in one physical place and a doctor in London will soon be able to perform surgery on a patient in Jakarta. Globalization is good for the human race.
I do not know about "intergalactic culture" but if we humans can survive long enough to colonize the Moon and Mars, the people there will evolve differently and at a different speed. So yes, we could have an "interplanetary culture".
Studying history is good to know where we come from. We all come from Africa. But new generations must know it doesn't tell us where we must go. That does not depend on the past. It depends on how we understand and respect each other and it is not done but projecting the past on the present and acting in a way to retake something lost in the meantime. Everyday news show us that logic will just be the end of us.
I just did not adhere to the universe in a close future and the concept of judging like it is a spectacle. It is good if you enjoyed it. It was just not my cup of tea.
Ji Sung is one of the best actors in kdrama so this dual role should fit him perfectly. I dropped The devil Judge but will definitively try this one. Love the FL actress too. Too bad there is no romance but ok, I am also fine with a very dark story.
Lil intermezzo about LLTG rumors related to the notion of having a resemblance section to Japanese Style. FYI:Chinese…
Where do you think Xi Jinping's Mao suit came from? Why do you think people shake hands in China now? Why chinese brides marry in a white gown? I bet chinese eat as much pizzas and KFC as they eat noodles. I bet millions of chinese wear jeans in their everyday life.
Despite all the suffering, hotel del luna didnt have a sad ending, it was bittersweet but not sad. I dont think…
Now that you mentioned Hotel del Luna, there is a common point between the two FL. They both are "cursed" by something they did. In Hotel del Luna, the ending was the best ending they could come up with. She had to cross the bridge. So I sense the same thing here, our FL will also have to be "liberated" before anything "good" happens. But it does not mean she necessarily has to die.
I am hoping for the writers will surprise us in a good way.
At the moment, with four episodes this have been My favorite drama of the year, but Lets see the facts and be…
Considering the visuals, genre, influences, the plot line and events so far, I have admitted that this might not be the usual historical kdrama with a happy ending. I agree with you that there are elements that are too dark and too morally unjustifiable to consider a happy ever after ending. So far the comedy is fun and the action is thrilling but there are dark elements that cannot be ignored.
But I also trust the writers to find a proper outcome and answers to the question raised by what they presented. As long as it is entertaining, logical and not convoluted and not outrageous like in some cdramas (she kills herself or impale herself on his sword for some stupid reason) I am ready for any ending.
Synopsis sounds like a typical chinese xuanhuan drama
What is your problem? Why did you block me, then you unblocked me to send me a message that I could not see because you blocked me again and then you unblock again me to write me this comment out the blue?
On the contrary I think the pace is good. In 4 eps, many things happened to the main couple and it has mysteries…
Being worthy or not worthy here is based on your own standards. So maybe your standards are the problem? Because most people here and elsewhere like this drama including its dialogues.
If your standards are with Liberartion Notes, comparing a fun historical fantasy kdrama with a kdrama full of melodrama and people philosophizing on their own misery and lack of happiness will only lead you to dislike it.
There is no philosophy or lesson about life and finding happiness here. So maybe it is better for you not torture yourself more. There are surely other dramas which will fit your taste better.
In my experience, the Hong Sisters often have a loveline with an older couple in their dramas so it does look…
There are some drama which, for some reasons, just don't work for you. I tried What's wrong with secretary Kim three times because I liked the lead actors but no, never managed to pass ep 4 or 5.
Hotel del Luna, it's best parts are the personality of the FL and the sub plots/the sub stories. The main plot involving the main leads is rather messy (on FL side) and a bit bland (on ML side). Overall it is still enjoyable.
Of the Hong sisters's fantasy drama I liked My Girlfriend is a Gumiho and The Master's sun better. Hope this one will topple all of them.
In Woori the Virgin, the cop just hides evidence and breaks into a house at night to look for evidences. In Link: Eat love kill, a cop just assaults and beats up and threatens a civilian who is a "rotten apple" and gets away with it...
Maybe it is a trend to show that violence and illegal actions by the police is totally acceptable?

People learn and borrow from each other.

Let me block you then.
