Please stop with your "Are you even african" to suggest there is more legitimacy or knowlege or abilities becausse of an origin. This is plain racist.

A music is a work which gain an identity because of the peole who listent to it and use it.It ended evoking Africa so people can use it as it will remind of Africa to a guy in Alaska because it is what the song has become in the world. There is nothing wrong with it. It is world pop culture and it is certainly not against africans.

As for the "white savior" complex, these people denouncing "white complex" need to get out of their negritude and understand that this is not 1870 and the rule of the white man in Africa. This is 2022 and white people, asian people, black people, go to help in Africa just to help.

If these people are not happy with the white or asian or green or grey people digging wells or helping in a way or another in Africa because they would promote the "white savior" idea then they can go arrest them in Africa and send them to prison for crime of racism and being "white savior" . Or maybe they are just in a fake stance to accuse a drama for something that only exist in their outdated mind.

Surely forcibly showing your parts is wrong and indecent and a sexual aggression but only if the perpretator's mind is sexually oriented when doing it like he wants to find a pleasure or a satisfaction in doing it.

But here, there is nothing sexual intention to force on the FL. It is like a patient running after a doctor to tell him "hey doctor look at it, you make a wrong diagnosis. it works" or a guy showing it so his friend and saying "Look the full force of my masculinity" just like in the movie Crazy Stupid Love.

Sexual harrassment has a sexual motive. It is not the case here. So there is no sexual harassment here.

Don't worry, the viewers are smart. They know that one reality of Africa used in a fiction is not the whole reality of Africa.

But there was no need to mention a country. If someone in the USA tells his friend "my daught er went to study in Europe". Is there a problem? No. So is a South Korean says "I went to volunteer in Africa" or " I called Africa" . Where is the problem? Is there a problem if an african in Lagos says "lets go by phone cards so we can call to America". Where is the problem?

Don't mind these racist people. They are outraged because a random asian guy went to Africa drill a well and help people and he went back home. This triggered their racial pride of being black or african and the old memories of a colonial era when the white men used and abused their own "kind".

So they went bersek even if they know that today is 2022 and not 1870 and today there are thousands of foreigners white people, asian people, black people with a foreign passport... who go to help in Africa with goodheart and good intention. But these dumb racists have their hate embeded in their sense of identity so they need to use a poor asian drama portraying a simple guy helping in Africa to revive their fight against the evil white man.

These people calling the drama racist, they are the true racist and intolerant ones.

There is no sexual remarks or advances in this. The ML barely tried to show her his little brother is working properly because she made people believe it does not work properly. It is a technical matter only.

The Lion King is not Africa. The Lion King is an animated movie with animals as characters who as part of a fiction evolve in Africa. Using the music is no racism against africans. It is just a way to evoke Africa by association of ideas. This song does not symbolize Africa. Africa never claimed it was its hymn like EU claimed Beethoven's 9th symphony as their hymn or Wakanda Forever is Wakanda's official rallying call. It is just a part of the popular culture around the world that assume that this music is representing Africa and the drama just used this to say that the scene is now in Africa. There is nothing racist in this as it denigrates nobody.
