There is no secondary couple but there is a hint to a secondary couple in the final ep...

She should have poisoned him earlier. She would have avoided to go through so many difficulties.

People fall in love with an idol they never get the chance to meet or a classmate they never get the chance to talk to or a shadow at the corner of a street they never meet again. That's still love. But that's not the true Love people would wish to have. They would prefer a love with trust and honesty to live and grow old together and supporting each other, going in a same direction and still being able to surprise each other.

I don't think Ji Un knows anything about Lee Hwi, her past, her challenges, her enemies, the dangers she is facing, her daily worries and joys... She would not allow it and he is barely in the palace. How can he know her personality? She is not herself but living another person's life. How can he know the real her? Truth is this love from his side is childish and immature. She was being another person and he also became a different person. The cheerful charming rebellious young man keen on justice became a quiet sorry character in the shadow just be next to her but not doing much for her.

In fact, everything starts again for Ji Un and Dami when she is back to live as herself and he is back to be himself too. This is where true love can begin again. When you are fully yourself and the other one accept you as such. And your gender is a full part of yourself.

History books are distorsions. People need to calm down.

Depends on the story. If it is good and she does well, it will be fine. If the story sucks and she does well, she will still be given stick.

I too was surprised when they announced their premier date for Dec 15 . I am so glad it is airing now.

I have not enjoyed a chinese drama that much since the chinese drama Joy of Life.

What a waste of a character in the veil. Hope she has a better luck next drama.

Loving someone wether that person is a man or a woman is just denying that person his/her own sex and gender identity. It is childish and selfish. Ji Un is in an unconditional Love where unconditional means denying things that makes Lee Hwi who she is. On the contrary Lee Hwi knows who she is . A woman. This is why she is fearing to be discovered as one. She could go say I am genderless or gender fluid and I am the King. But No. She was a baby girl, a teen maid and she is a woman and she loves someone she thinks is a man she fell in love with as a teen girl. This is why this romance does not work.

These two are on two different stages. It is like a guy saying "I love you no matter you are a man or a woman" and the other says "But I am fully a woman". He is not embracing who she is in reality. He does not love her. He loves the idea he has about her. Of course. He knows nothing about her. Falling in Love with an unknown person is infatuation. Real love is when you know who this person is. Real love needs honesty and sincerity. About who you are. About who I am.

LOL. Same Here. Put it on hold at ep 15. I'll binge watch it to the end skipping the annoying parts so the time I spent on 14 eps would not be a waste. Anyway it is fun to come here and read about how other viewers see it.

Maybe they coud do a spin off with him as the lead. His character and story has potential.

In this drama the problem is no thim. His character was charming and rebellious and keen on justice. He was very promising in the beginning. It is because the writer kept him at the puppy Love stage until ep 15 when I put this on hold. He is bland and useless now. They will probably rush his character development.

Yes four eps left. That's the bad news. Because it means the ending will probably be rushed. I suspect some quick deaths and happy ending will be salvaged.

Because Lee Hwi is Dami, it is sad that Ji Un does not recognize her or learn it is her because they could know finally each other's true person and their common past and build their relationship from there. It would be much more interesting and powerful than this boring "I love you no matter what" teenage thing.

I don't think Ji Un can forgive his father. He saw what he did to that poor maid who was totally innocent.
