King the Land and My Demon, I loved the main couple. They visually looked great, and their chemistry was good on screen. But the problem was… the story around them was not great. Things looked forced, convoluted for the sake of cuteness and the worst is the story of the secondary characters. They were uninteresting. KTL's romance looked forced, and the ML's secretary and FL's friends' stories sucked big time especially the noona romance. Same for My Demon, grandma, secretaries, friends, relatives' stories sucked. They were not endearing.
The leading couple can look gorgeous and great together but if the story is lame and convoluted and the secondary characters are not endearing, overall, the drama is a failure for me.
One example of a good drama is Hometown cha cha cha. Not only the lead couple was good together and their story was endearing but also the secondary characters were great. They make you smile and cry.
The leading couple here looks nice, and I believe their chemistry will be great. But the story and the secondary characters and plots need to be good too. Looking at the secondary cast... I trust it will be the case... I love Kwak Dong Yeon, Park Sung Hoon... even Lee Joo Bin... Fingers crossed.
