It shows how cool she is with him. She is a smart shock absorber for his antics, venting, wrong assumptions , tripping, tantrum, until he becomes decent and nice.
They look incredibly good together. My fav scenes of ep2 are the ones which them together. Dinner scene, black out scene and museum scene... In between, it was good but them together on screen and it's a different level.

That's what I was thinking too. She doesn't look interested in the mayor. It even feels like she is uncomfortable with him and she is always asking to meet together with his ex wife. When she asked her to be friends like before, it sounded like "I know I have no chance but I would be happy enough to be around you". I ship the two divorcees to get back together as a couple but I like Cho Hui. She is a mysterious and interesting character.

I never liked the airhead Yaoyao and the jealous insecured Mo Sheng. Their couple's story feels unnatural and forced by the circumstances. I don't see any chemistry between them. What a sad couple. Yes she probably should divorce him but I doubt it will happen.
My bet is in the end Mo Sheng turns against the japanese, saves the day with his bro and redeems himself in eyes of his wife. I don't see him in a tragic ending.

I also like the character. He has good human qualities and I like that he was quickly smitten with that cute chinese girl but I am afraid their story is doomed from the beginning. I hope they will survive in the end. It would be a nice thing to see.
Lizi in The Justice was, ahem, a little too "interesting" for my liking lol. I might well pick up the drama once…
To me the relationship between Yi Zhi and Li Zi is more intense and now it is cute. Lu Yuanzhi and Kang Ning look a very restrained couple. After all what they went throught they should have learnt to enjoy their moments together. But it is like they will focus on the fight vs Japanese now.
I don't understand why Lu Yuanzhi and Kang Ning don't just get married. What are they waiting around for???
Lu Yuanzhi had an edict from the Empress to marry Kang Ning but he did not and that led to lots of misery for her in particular. Now he has her in his house but he is not in a hurry to marry her. Maybe he is waiting for another catastrophy to happen.
