No the old man who killed his godson should have been taken accountable for that. His suicide in the end is no justice. Same for the bad brother. Taking a bullet to redeem yourself is too easy. He should have been sentenced to the firing squad for collaboration with the enemy. The production was great but the story was not great.

You have the wrong mindset. You should not see this as from 2021. Put yourself in 1917 and look at it again. We don't need SJW fighting against abortion here.

High production but story doesn't get out of the usual palace/family schemes leading to hurtful situations you have to forgive because of family and in the end there is redemption. Blabla BS.

Two different genre. Hometown is a good family, feel good drama with lots of qualities . The veil is a special action drama with very violent scenes. Not everyone will like it.

The ceremonious way he talks doesn't help.

I know. Hard to resist the previews. I tell myself it brings nothing satisfying so it is better to avoid them. This drama makes it is easier to avoid the preview because it is a nice treat everytime. You end up with a nice note and next time it will be nice too. Watching the preview just create a disruption of the pleasure of watching it. At least it is my approach on this drama but I guess everyone enjoy it his own way.

The epilogue is what wraps the episode nicely and makes the wait for next ep bearable for me.
