The fact that she escaped abroad with 5 millions USD shows that she is cunning and scheming enough.

The true question for me is did she really used Yeon Joo to be killed in her stead so it covers her escape? Because her accomplice in her escape knew Yeon Joo and how these two resemble each other. He led Yeaon Joo to the parking lot on purpose. Also if she planned the helicopter crash, why she needed to put Yeon Joo in an accident and why go abroad?

The motivations of her moves are still very unclear but she doesn't look the nice person.

After ep5, I really doubt they have any past story together. I used to think why she allows herself to talk so assertively to him? What special bond they have for that?

When they were discussing, Soo Yeon looked very relaxed, almost smiling at times when she talked about their past. Them entering the NIS together. Training as partners. Working together as agents. I felt like their special bond was not more than the special bond of two persons who have been very close since the beginning of their journey in the NIS and learnt to know each other better than other people. But nothing more.

Soo Yeon dated her fiancé but it is rumored that she was seeing another agent before him. She herself said to Ji Hyuk there was someone before Kyung Seok. So unless she dated the whole NIS in secret, I don't think she was also in a romantic relationship with Ji Hyuk. He would have remembered it. This part of his memories is not erased.

As for who the other guy is, my candidate number one is Kang Pil Ho. This guy recruited them some 10 yers ago. Monitored their training probably. And worked with them. He helped them and he is in a position of autority which allows him to make a request she could not refuse. Also, in the parking lot, his attitude towards her was very "strange" for me. He was too concerned and close and intimate grabbing her arm begging her.
Second candidate Jang Chun Woo the dark agent but few elements back this apart from the picture of the hotel resort that he and Soo Yeon both have and the fact that they worked together.

For me the only possibility Soo Yeon and Ji Hyuk had a relationship is before the NIS. Because based on the recent events, is is very unlikely they dated when they were agents. But the drama will not explore the time before the NIS.

Probably Soo Yeon always thought Ji Hyuk is an egoistic guy who would consider the mission before the colleagues but he would not be a rat. She has her own responsibilities (she works for the domectic section) and she could only ask him to climb back from the bottom of the pit. After she discovers his intentions in ep5 she is nicer to him because she knows he works to find the ones who killed her fiancé.

I did not like their discussion. It took too much time and yes, they were talking about their common past. I am glad we know more about their relationship. I did not expect her to be shot though and the CCTV video leaves a huge cliffhanger even if I doubt he shot at her.

As for her mistake, still many options possible. Maybe she was dating the black agent who turned rogue. Maybe she worked with him and he saved her and she is indebted? ... I don't think we will know in ep6.

Agree. Lots of characters, events, possibilities provided so far but the hardest thing is still to be done: to combine everything in a comprehensive, interesting and surprising way. The drama is only 12 eps and we are almost halfway. I hope the writer doesn't get in a complete muddle and off track.

If she does not die here, she will probably survive until the end.

When Seo Soo Yean talked about a choice she could not refuse and a path she went down that she regretted, I think it is not about meeting Ji Hyuk. It is him who called her. Not her who called him to meet. I think it is about something she did in the past probably related to the agent who was absorbed or to the rat in the agency.

If he really shot her, she would have seen the gun and I doubt she would have cared to tell him to be careful and not trust anyone.

I don't think he shot her. Even if he is prone to illusions. Or else she would not have reacted the way she did.

I least now we know they were never lovers. Just entered the NIS and trained and worked together. They rather seem to have a brother sister relationship.

There is still the most important to learn about her backstory.

The story is gripping but so complicated. It can still go either way. I hope he writer is not just toying with us.

Reading you I have the feeling that you are mixing the identities of the two women ;) YJ is the prosecutor former gang heiress. MH is the daughter and heiress of Jumin Group and Ahn Yoo Jun's spouse.

I think endgame is SW with YJ the prosecutor. I believe he was in love with MH but he will change for YJ in the process because "life make people change and their feelings would change too". I 'd rather have this mature touch rather than the usual "I fell in love with you when we were teens".

When she goes to meet the pyschiatrist (ep3) and he tries to revive her memory, she can see herself (Yeon Joo) riding a bicyle to go meet her grandmother. She found her hit by a car and she takes her to the hospital. These are Yeon Joo memories of her and her grandmother who died later as a consequence of the hit and run. It is not Mina. Mina is the teen girl who at the same moment is hospitalized for suicide attempt.

I am looking forward to watch ep 6 but so far I believe the preview teased a wrong idea. Or if it is Yeon Joo, the explanation has to be very good.

Yeon joo had Mi Na's grandmother memory?

I am very curious to see how they are going to pull that past story. Because when he was at the hospital to see his dad at the morgue, Yeon Joo was with her Grandmother who did not die upon arrival but regained conscience and talked to her. I am curious to know why Yeon Joo was hospitalized and met Seung Wook. Also Seung Wook dated Mi Na a few years before he was forced to leave for the USA. So basically he dated "another girl"? Very strange thing.

The way he arrived and handed his credit card in the store was rude. I believe he has little consideration for others. This is why he will try to get her back. It is pretentious from him and denotes some kind of obsession.

If Da Li still liked him, she would have asked him to invest in the art gallery. It is the best way to solve her problems and have him around. But she just went to thank him and she felt very uncomfortable doing it. There was a strange vibe and I was asking myself why he is unable to make her feel relaxed.

Probably we will see some not great sides of him. But instead, I'd prefer they work on the ML character development to make him more likeable.

I don't think Da Li still has feelings for him. She was away in the Netherlands and she was happy there. If her father did not pass away, she would not have come back to South Korea to find him.

They broke up 5 years ago 5 days before their wedding. So probably something happened that urged the break up. Maybe Da Li's father discovered something unforgivable about Jang Tae Jin and asked for their break up. Jang Tae Jin accepted and gave her a condition that she could not accept to make sure the break up happens. He said he is a different person now so maybe it is linked to the person he was.

Jang Tae Jin is not in the business of Art and the death is related to money and items smuggled from abroad. For me the bad guys are the nephew, the intern of the art gallery, Moo hak's brother. I am sure he knows and fears the "unknow person" this is why he doesn't talk. I would be surprised if Jang Tae Jin is the unknown person.

They are two opposite personalities. They can be complementary to each other but they do not have enough interactions now to show that there is a good chemistry between them. I liked them better in the Netherlands. Their chemistry was better because their differences worked together.

Also the ML is handsome but he is not so bright and has some "wrong" manners. Good chemistry is based on how their body language, intellect, desires, yearnings, values ... communicate in an harmony. I don't know how they will resolve the issue but I agree some improvement are needed here.
