He was a good vilain in Whisper. I thought I could never like any of his characters but I was proven wrong. I liked his character in My Unfamiliar family. He can play a charming and nice person too. But In this one, he looks creepy to me.

I like the girl Ahn Chak Hee. She seems not very interested in Moo Hak. She is like a good friend. Plus she is not very bright just like him. I don't really know what her part is but I hope she will not be too annoying. I could almost pair her with Won Tak. SML is super weird.

Jang Tae Jin is a rich man. He has nothing to gain taking control of a small Art gallery. Jin Moo Hak and Kim Da Li are not heirs of chaebols he has to fight. He doesn't look a thug that would smuggle illegal items using paintings... Maybe he is one dimensional but I am still not sure of his motivations. I hope it is just simple jealousy.

She was kissing her fiancé. She had her engagement ring at that time. Nobody in their team knew about their relationship.

Most rational hypothesis: They are hidden siblings.
Wildest hypothesis: They were married, had a kid that they lost, he went bersek, they divorced.

Yes it looks more like an obsession but he wants to win her back so killing her dad is not the best option. The guy is the heir of a conglomerate. Why he would kill an old man? He is the one who broke up with Da Li. He has no reason to be angry at the father. Did he kill him to have her back to South Korea? Unlikely unless he is a psycho. Ok he does look like a psycho but I hope there is more than that about him.

They have a past together. 100%. If not, she would not dare talk to him that way.

Hopefully we are back to some action...

The plot is messy with too many sides having their own objective and giving each of them a small portion of progression each episode makes the drama really draggy. As for the rating, it depends on people and people are not always objective. Agree 8.5 is too much for what it is. There are dramas airing now that I like more than this one but they have a lower ratings. Maybe the leads' fame and the hype are working wonders here.

Poor charlie. He wasted so much time and resources on her. RIP Charlie.

I did not see it coming. I thought he would tell the actress his choice and she would change her attitude towards him. Poor Charlie. I am glad his student took a stand for him.

I like his style. I hope he will be a great competitor for the ML.

I don't think he would kill the father of the woman he loves. There is another way for getting a woman back. If he is the murderer (if there is murder, we are not sure of that) then the story better be very well crafted.

She probably works with the nephew on some bad transactions.

You are right. My bad. But he was present and witnessed the murder. He was an accomplice and used the crime to his advantage. The man is also responsible of the death of his brother and hired someone to harm Lu Yuan Zhi in prison.

The problem I have with this drama is that people like Bai He Nian and Mo Sheng did plenty of things that should have led them to prison. But the drama wants to tell that kharma is better than justice. Bai He Nian and Mo Sheng just got away with their wrongdoings.

For example if a man kills someone and two days later he dies in an accident, some people will say he had what he deserved. But that's not justice at all. Because the crime was not judged and he was not condemned and he did not pay his debt to the society. The victim received no recognition as part of a true justice.

I have noticed chinese drama like this kind of thing. Maybe it is a logic that chinese like better. I guess "justice" is not a notion to be discussed there.

KSH started as a stage actor but I think he is pretty decent now as a drama actor and soon a movie actor. I don't rate him as good as Ji Sung but he is still better than Lee Min Ho. :P :P :P
I loved Shin Min Ha in her early works (My Mighty Princess, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, Arang) but I did not like Oh My venus and lost sight of her. I am very convinced by her job here. Love her character.

You have seen 99 shows. I have seen 334 ;) I can say this drama has something incomparable that moves people and gives them a sweet taste every episode. Not sure it is the best one. It depends on people's preferences. But this one is a special one. Surely.

You are harsh with her. I can understand her reaction in a time where Japanese abused a lot in a country they manipulated before invading it. She still married her Japanese suitor and they have a cute boy together. In western countries after WW2, women who did that, they were mowed and publicly branded traitors to the nation.

Yes in 1917 abortion was a common thing using drugs and too often quacks who endangered the life of the pregnant women. Also the chinese society did not consider zygot, embryo, foetus, life, soul, like we do now. In the Drama , Yi Zhi did not care about the abortion. He only cared about her.

You read in the comments that the FL destroyed the drama? Up to you. I have been watching this drama until ep 34. She is just great and the drama is the top TV drama in China.
