1) Maybe he is involved and they decided put pressure on Cheol Jin to get rid of Dong Man and then they throw him under the bus?
2) Maybe he is not involved but he is hidding something with Hee Soo and I suspect her so maybe he is.
3) Baek Hee is not involved for me. Nothing really pointing at her. She looks too obssessed by the rules to deviate from them.
4) Pub owner is a minion in the ring for sure or he is National security.
5) Hee Soo is too clean and too nice to be true. Maybe she is the leader taking over after her husband?
6) Min Kyu is an a$$ but I doubt he is part of the illegal gambling ring.
7) I keep thinking Dong Man's supervisor at the Police station is not clean.

Probably it is too soon to be able to identify the culprits.

He was so obssessed by her and scared she would know the truth he treated her like a beautiful bird trapped in a cage. Probably he also thought it would not matter if she ended knowing the truth. After all he is the Emperor. If she is not happy, he could always have her killed. The guy was a nutcase.

I am ok with the way Zhou Sheng Chen was brought to death. It is better than a hit on the head with a stick or a dagger in the back. He endured it with courage facing his enemies while they were doing their worst. It made me like him more.

He did not really intend to kill the Crown Prince. The Second Prince schemed and staged the whole thing so he can go meet Il Wol Seong (Ha Ram) to test is abilities, his insights and try to see his real face. But he is the one who got owned this time.

Since a young age Zhou Sheng Chen was a person or principles and he lived his life governed by these principle. To live and fight for the Emperor, for his family, for the people. He made a vow of celibacy and to never have children and he keep it until the end. The Gods gave him someone he fell in love with and he took care of her without calling this "Love". He is a great man for having lived through all this most honorably and his only regret is that it meant to fail the woman he loved. I found his demise quite terrible but in the end, because the Emperor he saved that day is restored, The truth will be known and it will add to his greatness and his legend.

ShiYi was ready to do her duty. She was decided to help her family and spare her master from dangerous rumors so I did not think she would kill herself. She was in love with him but she was ready to accept her fate and she was dutiful enough to obey the Imperial edict. Until she learnt the truth and received that blood letter with her master's last words. Then she knew he truly loved her and died unjustly and she could not marry the man who had him killed. So she chose to kill herself and to go find her lover. She would wait for him to come marry her in another life.

I agree it is a form of happy ending. I was sad but I am also happy to see they are reunited. Even if it is that way.

It found it is very good and self sufficient as a love story. But ok, I will still watch the second leg to see what happens.

Unnecessary anachronism. I doubt kids used to do that during the reign of King Seongjo .

True. There are some average drama who have very good ratings just because the leads are too cute together and there is a huge machine to sell fan services to their huge fanbase and mobilize them. But ok, I guess it is part of the game.

The one who was saved by Zhou Sheng Chen when he surrendered. The generals took him away with them.

No the ending is good. It is very well made.

Never heard her singing or acting but I have to say I am quite hyped just after watching a fake youtube trailer.

Kwon and Hee Soo know each other well. I think they share a past that we still don't know about.

Also Beom Tae and Joon Wook are not in a love triangle. The girl likes none of them.

lol. No I am just speculating because he said he had to come back here before the departure. I guess he is just reminiscing about his fellow companions, about what happened ( them deciding to rebuild the temple) and what could have been (his master and ShiYi inviting him it to enter a fully rebuilt temple)

The drama looks quite dark. It is probable the third wheel will loose his head unless he is not a bad character. Then maybe he can save his life.

I dropped Night Watchman after a few eps. The leads were a bit too bland for my taste and the story was draggy from the beginning.

Sometimes when there is too much CGI it hides flaws in the writing or illogic points. For example "how did the mother delivered all by herself wearing pants? How Ha Ram's dad survived the fall from a cliff? How come a blossoming tree can give fruits? How the fishes landed the girl at the exact place she was born?" ... Taken individually, it is nothing but cumulating them can be prejudiciable to the drama.

Ok it is just a first ep. A lot of good thing and a few less good things. Finger crossed. The drama is will good.

I don't remember there was that much CGI. I agree the drama was good and the non human part of the story was nice and sad at the same time.

Looks fun. I like the two leads so I'll probably try it.

Her screentime will surely improve when she and other students will team up to fight the bad guys.
