She was my favorite female character at the beginning of the show because the female lead was a bit too conniving for me. Now I like the FL better and I find her quite pitiful. What she did was pretty reckless. Now only Zifang can save her because if she ends up marrying another guy specially a bad one, things will turn sad for her.

Same here. Probably it will not end happily ever after...

Ba Wu was indecisive and what the heck he was trying to resort to. So different from his former smart educated side. The characters are interesting but I wish some situation were less far fetched. Still it's good so far ep 2.

First episode is good. Cute, fun but also intriguing. Too bad it takes so long to be subbed.

King Liang is a sexual predator. But I doubt he is the main vilain of the story.

She likes him but he has nothing to make him likeable. She likes him because she recklessly gave herself to him. Now she is seeing his true face and his lying side beyond any principle. He can be good to her but he is not a good man. Poor her. I don't see LuQi become any better and I don't want. I want him to end badly. :P

This drama is portraying men as lustful persons trying to own or bang any women they meet and taking advantage of maids. Women are their cattle, their awards, their concubines who can be sent to prostitution is the men are disgraced. Emperors or wifes can grant women to husband for fun or as reward and women need to throw themselves to men . It is ridiculous how much they are emphasizing this aspect.

Ying Ying sleeping with Zhi Fang out of the blue makes no sense at all. I guess they will make him change his mind because she gave herself to him...

Remember the Third King Zhou took Rou to eat at a restaurant and said to her "Are you afraid I will find him (her lover Chumu) and have him killed?"? This sentence froze my blood. The guy does not only have anger management issue yelling at Rou for nothing but he is also domineering, threatening, blackmaling... What he did in ep 30 does not surprise me at all.

It will end bad between between LuQi and FuYin. Because from the very beginning he ploted to kill her mother and her family by burning down her mansion. Her mom died because of him. Maybe she will have stockholm syndrome and side with him now that she is pregnant with his child but she has a brother who needs to take revenge for the death of his mother too . Will the brother let go for the sake of his sister? So far I think she is reckless and lacks of restraint and LuQi did too many bad deeds. Things cannot end well for these two.

The schemes are more and more intricate now and darker too. I don't wish half of the characters to survive. lol. I like the two leads. They look cute and they are so refreshing among of these silly rotten people. Chumu looks immature compared to Rou. It is fine, she does look older and behaves more thoughtful than him. I don't feel sad for Fu Yin. It is not like she did not know she was sleeping with the enemy. But I feel pity for Lu Ying Ying. Why she threw herself to a man who does not love her is beyond understanding. Surely she will keep being miserable for some time.

It was a complete surprise for me as he appeared out of the blue with no background or backstory at all. I bet the crown prince will be surprised to see his love interest back on his two feet again...

He said it so that the Empress will keep Rou 3 years next to her to protect her the time Rou is in the palace. After these three years, she is dead ans Rou is out, :p

He could not have used Master Su for his own interest. He just wanted to save her from the two kings as these two were the only ones considered to marry her by degree of the Queen. Chumu was right doing what he did. It was an act of faith towards Rou. They can be together because of their feelings for each other. Not becausoe of schemes like others use schemes.

I am annoyed by the fact that there is no depth in her character so far. Nothing about her own story. This is why seeing her chasing Chumu out of the blue looks weird. Maybe you are right. Maybe she will take a bigger part later...

So all these men want to have her now.... Not sure if it is funny or ludicrous.

The pirate likes Rou out of souvenirs from childhood but he barely knows the real her and she likes another man now. I don't feel anything between them but a one sided infatuation from the pirate and Rou only remembers him as a brother.

Her gig is really not funny... It makes no sense.

Isn't he the guy who wanted Princess Xin Nan's maid as an appetizer? He is a sexually deviant person and a predator but I hardly see him as the main evil guy of the drama... for me it is either Prince Zhou or the Crown prince.

I have never understood why Fu Yin turned her back to a guy she promised to marry after he becomes an official but she breaks her promise to enter the household of her enemy and bed with him thinking it will give her an opportunity for revenge. I think she is reckless and stupid. I don't see the Lu guy becoming good for her and I don't see her becoming smart enough to handle him. She will just walk a terrible path from now on.

I agree they put the focus on plenty of characters but the two leads barely evolve...
