I can't believe we're still somewhere on ep 6 or 7, and the spirit goes back (and forth) to the modern body and…
For 6 eps the story evolved based on the confusion on the identity of the Queen. Every sides are interpreting her doings wrongly. Maybe next ep with the back and forth between to the modern body and Queen's body there will be new elements to the story and it will trigger some characters to make their moves. So far I like how the drama is doing.
Look, I would give it a low score for the dissapointment. I mean, the writer clickbaited HJP's fans even in episode…
If 10/10 is the perfect score and nothing is perfect, the range of objective rating you can explain with reason is from 5 or 6 to 9.5. This is why most krama are in this range. Because people are mostly reasonable. The ones who rate 1/10 are plain haters. But they have the right to be. It is there for them to vent their frustration.
The father’s death was literally the most straightforward thing in the plot. He got hit by a car (which WAS…
Dal Mi 's father died because he was too focused on making his presentation and finding investors for his project and he did not go to the hospital. After being cured it would have been possible to explain to the investors and make another appointment. The tragedy of the father is that he put so much pressure on himself he died from it but he passed a story which will play a key role in the future of his two daughters. Destiny as per kdramas.
Dal Mi was a kid. Probably she never saw her father again and just had to accept the explanation from the hopital his father's was taken to.
Holy shit I've never been more relieved for NOT following a negative comment and review section. It's usually…
You will notice how the most negative reviews on this drama are the most liked and their authors are the ones who post in this comment section day in day out... They are called the "team hate". They will come here everyday to undermine this drama which was not what they wanted it to be.
i loved Kang hanna...why is she never the main leadher acting is always good
I liked her too. Because from the beginning you understand she is a strong headed person but her sister and her family matter to her. As an adult, she struggles with her fake family. She wishes deep inside her real family had better relationships. She decides to prove herself, free herself first. Then after a long time because she is really strong headed, she will finally do the necessary moves to make things square: cut the fake family ties and strengthen the right ones. She is a very interesting character actually.
so true... the guy clearly told multiple times he dont want to do action and he wants to widen his range and experiment...…
I like the three couples. The chemistry between Park Jae Won and Yoon Seon-a looks better because they have more development so far but the two other couples are interesting too. They all look good and well assorted. One couple met briefly and went separate ways. One is a 5 years old couple. One is not a couple yet... 3 different settings.
I think it is good that they are connected to each other in some way. It will bring additional layers to their stories.
I’m reading the reviews and I’m trying to understand where all this harsh critique is coming from but I really…
- 1/10 is a hate rating used to drag down the overall rating. Not to assess the level of quality of the drama. - The OST was great - Endgame was Do San and Dal Mi as soon as Grandma and Ji Pyeong put them together "in name" in the letters.
- If Ji Pyeong did not stop Do San from meeting Dal Mi in the park to exchange the baseball ball, they would have met and she would have asked him " Remember our letters?" And he would have replied "What letters"? And they would have started their story from there. Same thing when Do San went to the Networking party without a plan. If Ji Pyeong did not involve himself, In Jae would have busted Do San in no time. He and Dal Mi would have looked miserable and they would have left to go see a movie together. Ji Pyeong was a mean and an annoying roadblock for Dal Mi and Do San.
Ji Pyeong has a good nature deep inside but he did almost everything wrong until the two last eps.

Same here. My brain has now managed to make the exercise to see they are talking to a camera / an interviewer. JCW is physically different and more natural. I like him so far and I also like the chemistry with KJW. I found Park Jae Won and Yoon Seon-a very cute together. Two adults in a one week summer love. Let's see how it develops now but it is intriguing.
Feels like cliche American shows. Just sex no emotions for viewers. I like kdramas for giving me heart flatters.…
The drama is about a Program interviewing adults around 30 to make them share their dating experience. So of course they won't be like in a kdrama spending half of the drama developing feelings. They had experiences before, multiple ones and they just freely talk about it based on questions they are asked. I am sure in South Korea there are women who asked their boyfriend about sex or went to have one night stands or quickly bed because next week holidays are over and they need to go their own way.

So far I think he is doing great. At times I do not even recognize him. The whole thing looks so different from what he has done so far. After two ep, it's good.
Just watched ep1 and 2. It's not so easy to enter the concept at first but after ep1 it is ok. I like the tone of the stories. It is romantic but also realistic. It is different from usual drama . This thing a more of a movie vibe where women take more initiatives. It find it enjoyable and I am not shocked at all by the way they quickly discuss sex and tell their experience. Ep 2 was specially good with the little plot twist. Today it is so magic but next day bang! the dream is already over. lol. Summer loves...
Why dal mi choose do san? Even after learn the truth about the "letter"?
You have to put yourself in the shoes of Dal Mi in order to understand and not look at it from your own perspective. You know Ji Pyeong's past and you have your own understanding of his involvement in the letters this is why you don't understand her logic and why she ended with Do San way before she knew who really wrote these fake letters of a fake 12 years old pen friend.
Or you can do like most HJP fans and just call this injustice or a hole in the plot or a scam from the writer or a change of endgame...
The queen has already been massively flirting with the female characters though so in my perspective that's LGBT.…
It would be a lot easier if "he" looses all his memories of his life as a man. It would be like a newborn woman if we accept that soul have no gender so it will not come to torment him. Or maybe the real Queen will take over and kick him out of her body. I don't see her just vanishing from the story. Or maybe he will understand and accept some things and leave by himself...
Like you said, let's enjoy the development of the plot and see what they do with the gender conflict later.

Let's take a guy who is straight and a trans who totally changed his equipement. The straight guy sleeps with the trans thinking it is woman. The trans is happy sleeping with the man. So biologically this is gay relationship but others would say it is socially and spiritually and technically at some level not gay because it was not attraction to same sex.
Can we only see one aspect of a fact when we cannot negate the other aspects of this fact? Is science everything? I am not sure it is enough to convince the ones who believe in souls and gender. Are hormones and brains everything about humans? Then there would be no soul to travel in another body or time...
I personally don't have any truth about this. I am just saying this drama is called "Mr" Queen. Not "The Queen". It establishes that souls exist beyond hormones and brains and they can travel. It presents the soul of a man trapped in the body of a woman. Most of the comedic mechanism comes from this and the male voice reinforces that idea. So it is not so evident that "him" playing with females is lesbian.
To enjoy the situation and the comedy from the situation we have to admit it's a man. Now if Mr Queen falls in love with the King but he is still the soul of a male womanizer who used to woo females before the "accident" and also with a male inner voice ... I will be curious to see how they are going to present that. Will he doubt his own sexuality? Become bisexual? Will he be happy as a male soul to satisfy another male with the equipment of a woman? Or will he just say ok, Let's forget my past life as a man, I am a woman now.
What about the King. Will he love a woman? or the body of a woman hosting a male soul who remembers the time he used to date women? Will he know the whole truth about that "person" body and soul? Will he accept it?
This is why I don't see "Love" happening but I am ready to see how it happens if it happens.

The baseline plot of this drama contradicts your point of view. The plot develops around a man, body and soul, who ends up in the body of a woman. So it means already that the soul has a gender and it is a man who misses his thing between his legs. He enjoys the company of kisaengs as a man in a woman's body. He tries to seduce a woman but trips on his/her gown because he forgot he is not a man anymore biologically.
Many cultures around the world think that a soul has gender, an energy which expresses itself accordingly with the body they are born in. This is why some people would change the body they are into be one they should have been born in or reincarnated in. Now you will need a lot of good arguments to convince them they are wrong.
Other people have a theory that a soul living in a host body interacts with it and with the world and the reality through it and it would be able to adapt and live in harmony with it's biological form.
Some people believe that there is absolutely no soul. Everything is only electrochemical reactions of the body. If we accept this idea, there would be no drama to watch because there would be no soul to travel in another body/time.
What I am tring to say is there are plenty of opinion and point of view in the world. I am not here to tell to others what to think and what to admit as truth. I am not an SJW. I am just saying, that I hope this drama does not turn into a maelstrom of sexual identity feast and remain just entertaining and fun like it is so far.
I think this would happen only after he accepts he would be a woman forever in the Joseon, and deals with it.…
Is that possible? I mean if someone lived 33 years as a man in the body of a man and is a total womanizer, can he make up his mind and decide to love men because he is in the body of a woman?
I think it would be more probable that in a woman's body now he would end up with another woman. That would fit his soul's preference.
Am I weird for hoping the chef to fall in love with the King? How intriguing it'd be to see him conflicted with…
The chef is such a womanizer and so far ep 4 he is totally a man trapped into the body of a woman he would use like a tool to achieve his goal. I don't see him falling in love with the King.
Dal Mi was a kid. Probably she never saw her father again and just had to accept the explanation from the hopital his father's was taken to.
The hell with "team hate". This drama is good.
