Yeah I agree the producers and actors knew they just escaped catastrophy and they could not take any risk anymore. That had an impact on the drama and forced them be very measured regarding the romance of Dae Hyun and Saet Byul.

I understand your point of view regarding Dae Hyun. He was happy enough with his family, his friend, his shop and a nice girl. But still I was expecting more from him and overall. It was not bad but it was still frustrating for me.

I hope he will be less introverted, more assertive and confident or these three years in the USA would have been a waste of time for him. I want to see him come back and win Dal Mi's heart or maybe she will win his heart again because I always thought Dal Mi is the blunt kind regarding matters of her own heart.

She really loved him for the real him but she knew that she had to let him go for his own good. Because he made her his success and she did not want this as it is a waste of his talent. I hope three years later, after he comes back, he is different and more accomplished so it was worth the sacrifice she made.

HJP had three years to win her heart. If Do San comes back and he and Dal Mi want to rekindle their feelings, I don't see why he would stay in their way. I really don't want 4 more episodes of a lousy love triangle. I hope NDS and HJP changed in a better way to resolve the situation in a smart adult an fun way and not with childish schemes. If the writer wants a good ending for Dal Mi and both male leads, it is now time to develop the story in new fresh directions.

In my experience of dramal I have seen a few time the FL ending with the SML but all these time, the FL had her heart hesitating between the two and she had "moments of complicity" with both of them. But in this drama, it is not the case. Dal Mi never had any interest for Ji Pyeong as a teen or as the man he is now. She will most likely end up with Do San but who knows? in dramaland...

It already happened in some other drama like Baker King. When the second male lead and FL had too much of a good chemistry, the writer changed the course of the story to put them together in the end.

In the case of Start-up, SML has a huge popular support so they could totally change the writing or ask for a reshoot to change the ending and please the trend. At this stage of the drama ep12, it is not the direction they are heading to as there is no romance at all between FL and SML but who knows. We are in dramaland and even the most unexpected can happen.

You should not pity. He is the one who is going to win the cup and kiss the princess. HJP at this stage has no chance to win Dal Mi. If during the 3 years Do San was away he did not win her heart when being everyday with Grandma and Dal Mi, I don't see why he would now that Do San is back. Do San and Dal Mi both fell in love for the first time. They will end up together unless there is a terrible twist.

NDS is not a straightforward person. He is a liar and he is selfish. When Dal Mi asked him about the truth in front of the bird house, he induced her into 3 lies:

- That Grandma only asked him as a favor when she was the mastermind of the scheme.
- That he wrote the letters by himself making him the "2nd person" when he and Grandma made up the letters and fake NDS together
- That Do San went to the Networking Party because he was paid for that when it is not true, he went on his own with no payment of anything.

When HJP noticed that after he told her he wrote the letters, Dal Mi did not care about him at all and only asked about Do San and Do San's involment and Do San's feelings for her, she was distressed and left. He knew he was loosing ground to Do San. This is why he chased after her the next day and went for an impromptu silly confession while mixing noodles. He acknowledged later he was not expecting to do it. Psychologically, he had to do it, even if Granda told him Dal Mi was with Do San and perfectly happy. Of course he had to go tell it to Do San like he is so fair when he should have told him before confessing if he was such a righteous guy. He is a selfish weasel.

HJP never did anything for SST and never trust them to achieve anything. He only accepted to mentor because Dal Mi asked him and he did things only for her and Grandma. If Dal Mi was CEO of any other company, He would never have stepped a foot close to SST.

On Demo day, he went hiding in an office room of Sandbox because he had a guilty conscience . After the confession, telling to Do San he won't help him anymore, remembering the Yong San's brother case, he could not face them. And when they won, he knew he was wrong so he did not dare to step out and go congratulate them as mentor of SST. Instead, he went on sick leave for a day and only appeared when it was too late. They were all distressed and in desperation of finding a solution and all upset and the guy just came to tell them "Blame youself" barking with his patronizing tone. lol! He totally deserved to be punched in the face. It helped him put his brain in the right order. He was talking and behaving a lot better to people after that.

I have watched the preview of ep13 yesterday. Apparently, HJP did not change. Except for becoming Director, he is still trying to be in the way of Do San and Dal Mi. lol. I thought we were past this stage for HJP but apparently... no. The guy spent 3 years unable to win Dal Mi's heart when Do San was away but he will still keep on pissing him off about Dal Mi.

I am not trying to project the realities of life on a drama like you are doing. I am just enjoying the drama and the characters in their own situation. If you want someone to debate with you about what they should do or not do to be in line with real life, you can go find someone to help you rewrite the drama. I am not that person.

It was a demoday, a presentation to convince investors. So for HJP to call a start up which bases its product on batteries which are still valid technology, calling this a fraud is out of line. It is not like suddenly all the batteries are dumped in the trash can and all the technologies and products based on them become obsolete. They only dump them if a replacement technology at an acceptable cost exists. Yong San's brother was maybe incompetent to not be able to explain this but he did commit any fraud.

Furthermore, as no money was invested yet. It is like calling someone is a thief when no theft has been committed yet. HJP just went super harsh and out of line on him.

I think HJH has talent. He does not rely on a pretty face but has real skills. I won't be able to tell him in what drama or movies to star in but I will keep following him.

In our dicussion on BS, I remember I said Puppy was not for Saet Byul because he is her good friend and She was infatuated with Dae Hyun for years already. I remember I wanted him to go for her sister Eun Byul but both characters just disappeared.

I said they could have paired Saet Byul with Puppy or with anyone else because I did not like the end. Dae Hyun and Saet Byul had like a siblings chemistry as they cared for each other but never kissed again, never had great romantic moments or skinship. Dae Hyun was a super caring guy but the issue I had with him is he did not really evolved. And the worst thing about the drama is that in the end, they broke the fourth wall. Something terrible to see which definetively killed the drama for me.

There are a lot of episodes. I think it is good that they spend some time to explain their background and their friendship.

First episode was enjoyable. The two leads are cute and it is a good thing they don't have a "lovers" chemistry. More like brother and sister. The friends are fun to watch and something is building up. The dad is a good dad and a good friend but not a very wise husband in my opinion . Looking forward to watching ep2 now.

I am assuming when he got into the female body, he still remember his life as a man? or not?

Some people say a soul has a gender. Some other say it does not have a gender. If we say a soul has no gender and once it left a male body to go in a female body then it is just another woman. But still it is bugging me that she has the souvenirs of a man who used to love women... isn't it?

It is weird... the soul of a man possessing the body of a woman falls in love with another man... We cannot even qualify this as a BL story technically speaking... Really, how to take this?
