HJP is successful and he has many professional acquaintances but in his private life he is a solitary and his personality is quite individualistic. It is logic considering he is an orphan and also the course of his life since young. He needs a girlfriend. Someone cheerful, friendly and warm. Probably we will have a love triangle.

He and grandma created the character. We can see them together when he was writing the first letter she was assisting him, correcting the letter and approving the content. When grandma goes to his office to ask him to find "Nam Do San" he says "We made him. How can I possibly find him?".

SDM poured her soul in a letter commmunication with someone who does not exist in reality. HJP and her have no connection before they meet as adult. When Grandma made her request to him he doesn't even remember Dal Mi's name and has to ask to Grandma. If he had any connexion with her or cared about her, he would have remembered her name.

When he introduces himself formally to her at the night event, he says "You are Miss Seo Dal Mi right? Mr Nam told me a lot about you".

The only moment they interact is when he is reading a book while walking behind her. He doesn't notice her. She believes he is following her and she tells him " I am in a bad mood so don't follow me" and he is stucked there while she moves away. She never knew about his name or identity not even that he lived in her Grandma's shop. This scene shows that as themselves, they never had any connection but only a misunderstanding.

That's your assumption. Not what was shown. And the fact that he stalked her just underlines that he never had a real and honest relationship with her. This is why he could not go talk to her directly like an old friend or acquaintance. The fact that she led him to Grandma makes it look like this was what fate wanted. His reunion with Grandma. Not her. This is why the next day he went directly to meet her.

He can't tell her the letter's emotions were genuine ⋋_⋌ They were not. They were made up to comfort her. He did not care for her. This is why he left without a word for her and disappeared for 15 years.

It's better to lie and enter the party rather than tell the truth at the entrance and be shown the exit. :P but I agree Ra Ra doesn't look the kind to mind the age difference. Futhermore they look so good together.

Dal Mi's connection thru the letters is with her fantasized DO San, not Ji Pyeong ;-) I also support team Dalmi Saha. Their short encounter in the bookstore was a great moment.

SDM only had her father around her as a child and she dismissed all the guys who wanted to be her boyfriend. So she clearly does not look up to men. I even believe she unconciously locked herself in her fantasy about Do San of the letters so she will not be distracted and she can do things her way. Even the NDS who appeared in front her eyes will not stop her from reaching her own goals.

Do San is a nice and caring guy. He clearly feels uncomfortable with this scheme to deceive SDM and he like her so he doesn't want her to be hurt and he would also be hurt in the process. For me he is too much of a considerate guy to be a CEO. He has not enough leadership and ruthless in him. Ep 4 showed he will succeed only with SDM.

HJP is a boss because since he was kid he used to dig his own path to success. The episode about his money shows the real set up of his character. He is hardworking, takes a penny for a penny, what is his is his and if he is fair he will not be indebted to anyone. I think he is complex and an interesting character but I agree with you we don't really see where he will go now. Hope we will be surprised in a good way.

For me, out of the three SDM is the character the most endearing and interesting.

HJP and NDS are two idiots who do not deserve her. HJP looks competent and fun but you can see he is an indivualistic guy who only cares about his goals, results and interest and he wants to fair to not feel indebted.

NDS is nice, caring and considerate of others but he is a nerd who can't lead a business and can't understand why people make a wish in front of a rainbow.

DSM is cheeful, motivated, persevering in chasing success. She will outpace these two.

Her personality is very consistently written. The problem is that around her many characters also have depth and complexity (HJP, WIJ, Grandma, even NDS) this is why she appears lacking but I don't think she is.

She look bland and silly at first but she is fights for her dream like her dad. She can fall off her chair but she will still get up, say fuck it and take the challenge. She will find success because she has perseverance. She also has leadership in her like when she made everyone in the coffee shop work to reach the record sales. She is a bit naïve and romantic but that makes her endearing.

I like Ji Pyeong. He is a boss in Investment industry. He is also a fun guy and friendly but he is mainly focused on his personal interest without real consideration of others and their feelings (Dal Mi or Do San for example). Of course, after all he is an orphan who made himself out of the gutter. This is why I totally ship him with ... Saha .

It's not an happy ending. They spend the rest of their life until they grow old, unable to be together everyday and they can only meet on week ends in travels through time and dimensions to go eat ice cream or drink tea. They will never grow old together facing a same reality with kids and grand kids and all the people they fought alongside with now they never existed... is that an happy ending? is it? Think twice.

Ra Ra dreamed about a guy who looks like him with the same suit and shoes and she was saying "don't leave" . That man had the same watch as the dead corpse found on the shore who had Jun's ID card on him... still plenty of mystery to investigate,

No. Lee "Doctor Love" Seung Gi advised him to confess first and then tell the truth after the girl is crazed with Love. I agree with this great strategy. When she is crazy for him, no matter his mom or whoever or whatever obstacle... he can say his secret, she won't mind for sure. :-D

Thank God! Ra Ra I am so proud of you... how you cancelled Dr Cha... Haha! I love the ep today. So cute... Seung Gi you are the Boss. Best advice ever: "Confess first then when she can't leave you anymore, tell her your secret". LOL!.. So good.

The reason I say he never put himself in those letters is that the only moments we see him write them, he is not invested. The birthday wish was copied from the TV. To say he wrote it because he saw it and though it was a good idea and something he wanted deep inside of him is a stretch. You can watch every frame of the scene nothing suggest it. You are just assuming it. He just heard it and wrote it. Had he not heard it on the TV, He would not have come with that idea.

Overall, he never seemed committed to these letter and to keep in touch with her. He left without a word. He did not even thought about her. Did not write a letter for grandma to leave it in the bird house. He did not asked grand mother to tell her anything or explain to her. The letters just stopped when he left.

HJP had his flaws like when he misjudged Grandma. He was too busy making money and get out of the gutter he was in. He was more pissed off about loosing his money than leaving SDM. In the bus he cried because of what happened with grandma. When did he cried for her? I don't understand why people absolutely want to suggest that he was attached to her emotionally or in some ways when he only wanted to help Grandma and become successful.

SDM it is clear she want success but she is also looking for her first love. But In Jae only cares to succeed and prove herself so far. I don't see really her fixing her issue with her sister and fighting her step brother and developping a romantic relationship all at the same time.

Do San is the ML. Ji Pyung is the SML.

It will be a great drama if it keeps the same level as in the 4 first eps.

Young HJP was never in love with young SDM. He never put his feelings and his soul in these letters. The letters were a chore for him and a way to repay Grandma for her kindness. Good thing he did not dare to lie about his birthday date like he lied about his fake dog. You assuming he would have loved to play go stop with his family is your assumption only. At that moment 15years ago in front of the TV there is nothing to suggest it.

You cannot say after the first time he was the only one writing the letters because you have no proof of that. We only time we see him writing the letters in the first time under the dictation of Grandma and the second time when he lied and copied a fake birthday wish from the TV. These scenes only tell that he was not personally invested.

Truth is he never really cared about her. He left the city without a notice to her and never cared to write to her or find her again until he met her by chance in a conference. Why he could not write to her when SDM as an adult found the way back to the bird house to leave a letter for NDS hoping her NDS would read it. You have to acknowledge that this communication by letters was never important to him like it was for her.

The scene in the car about the rain and the rainbow does not tell HJP cared about SDM. It tells that NDS thinks SDM is a very weird person and he is questioning her logic of wandering aimlessly in the rain to get soaked when you have an umbrella or making a wish juste because you see the sunlight reflected in water drops. That makes HJP lament about NDS's ability to understand Korean language and figure of speech and wonder if NDS can be useful for something or not.
