Another fun and informative article. Thanks. I dropped this drama after two episodes. I thought the female lead was stupid to take all this bullying without responding. At a certain point, she even accepts physical attacks. And the main guy failed to look sympathetic to me. His bad atttitude cannot be justified by difficulties in his childhood. After reading your article, maybe I will give it a new chance.
Parin is a complete jerk. Or at least he was. Remember when he went to meet Mitra at her offices. He told her…
Hehe no doubt he liked her before he agreed to scheme a plan to have her but regarding Love I don't think he loved her or else he would not have done what he did to her. I believe he started to be obsessed and love her only after the night he took advantage of her.
Not sure his mother can talk some sense into his brain but I hope she will come back to Thailand soon. It will bring some additional spice surely.

He saw her as more than just another girl only after he noticed she could be a virgin and still he did it with her and in the morning he had confirmation she was a virgin. His new way of seeing her and the reason he could not forget her and looked for her was because of his own guilt because he misjudged and mistreated her.

He was too much of a jerk so he would not see the real beauty. I think because he was used to find girls this way, he just thought ok, another one to have fun with and forget in the morning. And he did not even had to buy her drinks himself.
I watched this Lakorn while it was airing and subbed. I find you very generous with it but ok it is your assessment halfway through. No matter what, I had great fun reading your article as it was nicely written and fun. Loved your presentation of the characters especially Tai and Soisoun.
Parin has a LOT of redeeming to do. I do not hate him as I know he is not a bad person and did feel some sort…
Parin is a complete jerk. Or at least he was. Remember when he went to meet Mitra at her offices. He told her she is no different from the other women he met: once they are drunk it always ends in bed. That means he is used to women like that and to take them to bed even if they are half drunk. He was a jerk. Because only jerks do like that. Especially the ones who are already rich and successful.
What I don't understand is why he did not try harder for Mitra. I mean if you meet someone you like, you surely wish that person is different and special and you will make sure of it yourself. He sure has a lot to do for her to forgive him .
I don't think Mitra will have any feelings for Gun. It is obvious the guy will be infatuated with her and become a close friend but nothing more for her.
Exactly. Most people got stuck on the mother twist, but that's not what the dramas focus was about. It was about…
Many people got stucked on the mother twist because it was badly handled. People could just not believe she went from a psycho mother who killed the nanny on an impulse to a great nurse for 20 years and then back to a lunatic who killed a man and revealed herself just to prove she can define the life of her daughter. Most of the characters were great but the most hyped one... the mother... was poorly handled.
one of the comments here sort of explained the behaviour of the guy. It was date rape where drugs can make the…
Of course if these foetuses made from rape are allowed to live and be born and become adults, they will all plead for their own cause and life and say they deserved to be left alive. But if before that the victim of rape has to decide to let the life in her womb live or not, you cannot throw a stone at her whatever option she chooses. I know this will sparkle controversies as it always did but the body of a woman is her body and she is entitled to decide.
Back to the drama, I have no issue with her choice as she has the absolute right to choose. I am just saying she made a difficult choice which is not the majority of the choices. Maybe the man is a serial killer, he has an horrible illness... She knows nothing about him. Still she makes the choice to have his babies. A huge bet for her. Luckily the kids are beautiful and healthy and their dad is not a psychomaniac with a custody right on them... At least... not yet.
Did you know a canadian judge ruled that if a woman was raped and had RRP and decided to keep the baby then the rape never happened?
Now the two twins are here. I just hope they will not use these two beautiful kids as a pretext for the two leads to attack and maul each other in terrible and cringeworthy ways.
And yet, it has greatly evolved (there was a time where you had rape almost everywhere in lakorns, and yet, they…
The drug was not his doing. He thought she drank too much. This is why when they meet again at the hotel of Mr Lee, he asked her why she drank to the point she "made that mistake". I thought it was not very consistent because he would have noticed if she reeked of alcohol. Maybe he thought she has low tolerance to alcohol.
I don't think his drink was spiked. The girl had no reason to spike his glass. He was perfectly fine

I do not agree with the date rape narrative. Prin and the Mitra did not know each other. He saw her, kept his eyes on her waiting for a chance. He saw the girls partying and maybe he thought Pam is actually a friend of her. So he quickly believed her words that she is not innocent and probably a "prostitute who would not mind doing business". But she was half drunk and he was perfectly fine. He should not have engaged in any sexual intercourses with her. She was unable to form a proper decision, give consent or even resist. It was just rape.
Now on the perspetive of Prin, I can believe that after one night with her he fell in love for her. Because he noticed she was a virgin. And in Asia, being a virgin girl has an additional value. Some parents sell the virginity of their daughter. Brides who arrive at their wedding night a virgin take pride of it. Men look at virgin girls and non virgin one differently... It influences your social status. So I understand that having taken her first time, he started to feel guilty, to have misjudged her, to have taken something precious from her like a thief. It was not too late when he noticed maybe she never did it before. He did not try to reach for the condom yet so he was not yet into deep like you say. I understand he became obsessed, looked for her and started to develop feelings that he calls love even if he knows nothing about her not even her name.
But like you, I am very curious to know how she will fall in love with a guy who raped her. What kind of excuses she will find to forgive him. Sooner or later they will have to find a peace in mind relatively to what happened that night.
I also loved how they depicted Mida. I liked the strong scenes and her emotions. I was a bit annoyed that she did not choose abortion. Nowadays in western countries it is rare that a girl who is raped keeps the baby of the man who raped her. I understand in Rape Related Pregnancy cases, around 30% keep the baby. But in Asia and many unfavoured places, many girls would just accept it like it is their fate. Her character developemnent was good even for 2 eps only.

Here they tried to make it look like she is enjoying it and she even kisses him giving him a signal of acceptance but the guy should have stopped when he saw she was not in a state to do it willingly. This is where it is a rape. It is entirely his fault.
First two episodes were entertaining except for usual lakorn promotion of bullshit illegal behavior like drugs, prostitution, human trafficking,, rich man buys and rape a girl but he is a good person in fact, patriarch having unofficial second wife... After that, the drama is good with lots of emotions and some fun moment too. Mookda is great here. A lot more complex and interesting than in her previous drama. After dropping Prom pissawat, I'll keep watching this one.
Sad to see Bai Lu pulled out of this project but I like Wu Jin Yan too. I will take this as the next life where Fu Heng has his chance to have Ying Luo.
I don't get the Wang family. Who is the Second Prince?
Second Prince's mother the Empress is from the Wang family. She is the sister of The Prime Minister Wang and the Aunt of Wang Zhong Yu the Schoolmate who bullies the FL and Xi Yuan his sister who loves the 5th Prince.
Not sure his mother can talk some sense into his brain but I hope she will come back to Thailand soon. It will bring some additional spice surely.
His mistake is big and so will be his remorse.
