Yea I did read that the 1st season will only cover the 1st 300 chapters. So, I am assuming that the 2nd and 3rd season will cover 350+ chapters since the rumor is that it is going to be 3 seasons long.

I am kind of wondering why they didn't just do like 40 episodes per season and see if they even needed the 3rd season.

Lol, well at least this way you can be an expert at knowing if they followed the original novel or not. But I feel with all adaptations that is impossible to do because cgi can only do so much. And i heard this one is a bit gruesome - like you stated earlier the censorship is going to make it hard for them to follow the novel entirely.

Oooo really? I was deciding on reading it but I also don't want to spoil it for myself once the drama airs. I feel like the fun is not knowing at times lol. But I also don't have the patience to wait until 2027 to watch the actual drama lol.

When you see the Marquis - you will understand why martial arts is useless for him. That dude is a tank and the probability of him being able to fight him - one on one - is impossible. He would have died before the fight began. People who are actually more skilled than him - naturally - were unable to beat the Marquis. His only chance was to beat him with a battle of wits.

And honestly, that makes more sense. Like what are the chances for someone who is in their 20s with no battle experience to beat someone who has a lot more years of battle and probably a lot more muscle mass. Like imagine Zang Hai did learn martial arts - no way he beating someone with more experience and years of training.

When someone asked the director Zheng Xiao Long about cooperating with Xiao Zhan - he said he already had a work planned to collaborate with him again. Like it was in the works.

I am wondering if it is Season 2 of Zang Hai.

At most he might be 5 years younger than the emperor lol. I feel just to have power for 5 years is a bit ridiculous lol. Just retire or run away with all the foster children he made. He had enough power with his special force members - his need for the seal just seemed like he was going power crazy. But to be honest after seeing how he became a eunuch it makes sense. He never planned to be a eunuch so in his mind he always wanted power and more power - probably wanted to be emperor if anything. Just my opinion though

This is why I feel like the 3rd villain might have the fake seal or his plan was to always give the seal away so he coukd use the conpass.

I think because of what happened to AnTu - he had to resolve that issue first.

Dude looks like he the same age as the emperor or older even. So when the emperor dies or loses powers - chances are he is gonna die too. So his reasoning made no choice to me. Dude is just power hungry

We are already told the previous owners of the gui seal have died - so I dont think he will be immortal. He will just have an immortal army but at the cost.of what? I think he wanted to be emperor - he loved being that special armies boss so much he probably was like "i deserve to be emperor as well"

Dude doesn't want to be remembered for being corrupt but loyal - even though he was nothing of the sort.

His reason really didnt make sense because he seems to be the same age as the emperor - maybe a bit older even. So when the emperor does lose power or dies he is.most likely going to be dead as well. I just think he is power hungry and was hoping to be emperor. He just trying to look good in front of others.

I hope so. Dude is living for way too long. We got 8 episodes left and still dont know who the 3rd villain is.

When he was just smiling - thinking he won - I just wanted to slap him in his face and wished he just keeled over already and died. So, I understand the "outliving my patience sentiment" lol.

Okay we all know now that the emperor is not the 3rd villain - dude already had the gui seal. He had no reason to kill Zang Hai's family and he would NEVER give away the 3 copper fish to anyone but himself. But now is he the masked man? He could be but I doubt it.

The 3rd villain . .. .back to the guessing game. Most likely he is Mr. 8's father - but I honestly don't believe anyone. Especially since the colleague at Zang Hai's job turned out to be evil.

I still don't understand why the Eunuch wants the seal - like dude can't have kids and he is old. Like what is he gonna do with it?

ROFL omg that is so true. I completely forgot about that - people are gonna be thinking AnTu had an affair because the son would look nothing like Zang Hai.

Zang Hai is honestly a great a crime historical drama. Like "who is the murderer" - we know 2 and we are figuring out the others. But do we have other conspiracies or is that the only one - like the amount of questions this drama had me asking and at the end it didn't happen. Like how we all thought JingPing's bodyguard was still alive because we didn't see a body but he was actually dead. That is crazy to me lol. They made it in a way that you would question each death except for a few which we saw them die on tv.

I will give this to the director - every episode has been great. Not a single episode has been a filler episode and the fight scenes have been wonderful. I still don't know how he is gonna 1 up himself for the remaining episodes but so far they have been great. I just hope it doesnt end up with the c-drama curse - which is how they always have horrible endings (except for a few).
