The mother should die but I feel like she is pretty powerful - and I think if zang hai kills her off now that JingPing might look at him a bit odd. Like why is she dead - and he loses power in the court. Maybe he wants her to die once he has decided to fully go against JingPing and pretty much let him know that he wants him gone. Right now he wants to suck upto him.
It seems like he was killed on his way to being exiled. But for some reason I feel like maybe JingPing kept him alive like he might also have kept that bodyguard alive. Just the deaths offscreen is just a bit suspicious.

He is a very complex character. U can tell he is also playing a game but now we have to see who wins. Because I really think he saved Zang Hai - not because he likes him - bu he wants him to owe him. Honestly, idk if he believes in Feng Shui since often times he seems to blow it by while other times he doesn't. Mostly when it concerns his death - he takes it very seriously. But if it has nothing to do with him - he kind of just ignores it. But yes Chu Huiming is very useless lol. he is kind of like the kid who cheated his way through school - he knows to present himself as someone with knowledge but he doesn't really know anything.
Qu Jian died by committing suicide. But the theory is that he isn't really dead because he died off screen - and they just said he committed suicide and never went further into it. Just doesn't seem reaonable that such a big figure would just die lik that.
