I knew what was coming, I know it's just a drama but those 10 minutes I cried like I have never cried before entire cast of background characters who were introduced to us throughout the first 17 episodes so slowly and just in ep 18 when I thought I knew those characters already , I was unprepared for their feat of bravery and those scenes - the blood splattered frame hanging over the familiar village streets was heartbreaking . I just had to stop and take breath before diving back in with Changyu 💔💔💔

The novel alos had a very whiplashy lead up and then the actual confrontation- cause the drama pretty much nailed it ( even if our favorite couple failed to get properly lucky ) ,cause they are literally discussing stuff and then their convo heats up and one second he's like ' i need a gentle lady who can manage the household and be a proper wife ' and next he is literally suckong the blood out of her lips cause I'm pretty sure he is describing her and SHE is actually describing him- in her mind ,he is a very gentle and smart scholar who knows many characters, know law and martial arts 🤣🤣 They’re basically baiting each other 🤣🤣
