Well ,after they reunite sonce Xz left , Changyu admits to herself that she actually missed him , XZ literally tells her to leave him if she doesn't have any feelings but gratitude for his initial help , she is figuring out hwr feeling and he lets her, then she does a lot of awesome stuff , finds out he is a Marquis, is kinda heartbroken cause she can love YZ but could she ever feel equal to the legendary Marquis, but our boy shows her exactly what kinda person he is and tells her he just wants her ,but then the actual reveal happens and they realize thay neither of them can take step back from their own beliefs and principles, they break up in amost angst romantic way I have ever read with him literally threatening her future fiance and oh my goodness it's so good ,but after a torturous angsty suffering, they literally can't stay away from each other...and oh my goodness these two are crazy for each other 🤣🤣🥰🥰😳😳🥵🥵

Absolutely, plus I love how they incorporated all the small details and created an alternate storyline combining all the core and side stories 👏almost every episode, I can quote the chapter or passage they either gave to the characters or actually properly did 'show not tell ' through the props and shots and everything 🥰🥰

I am sorry I think I spoiled too much but trust me ,there's so much layered between those chapters I can't even explain it all 🥹🥹🥰🥰

In the novel , their relationship is a bit more slowburn - he falls hard and fast ,but she doesn't understand her own affection and attraction to him , so they kinda have a fight ,he leaves but because there are soldiers all over the place drafting men, Changyu thinks they took him in the army cause he married in her household, while she tries to learn his whereabouts, it's search for Ningning that somehow brings her to XZ ..and to her baobe sister cause he saves her and is all hurt and bloodied...and she still has no idea who he is , asking him to leave the army cause she will butcher pigs to support bim for life 🤣🤣

In the past because Qi Min was very sick and kinda crazy and kinda dying, his supporters and aids wanted to get an heir out of him before he expired, so they brought all kindas of girls literally drugging Qi Min with aphrodisiacs ,he wanted to die cause he was in pain all the time and felt alone as he couldn't truly trust anyone around him , he tried to drown himself but Qianqian saved him , he felt intrigued by her as she was the first person who saved him just because he was a humn not because of his status, but Qianqian was a transmigator - and she absolutely wouldn't stay , but his aid ( i think the woman who tapked to Baoer ) drugged them both and afterwards, Qianqian tried to run away several times only succeeding once .And now he's back I think ,in the drama in the flahsbacks Qi Min's is dripping with water and I am absolutely sure he graped her ,that's why she is so panicked cause Qi Min is a very traumatized, very paranoid and sadistic man

Oh absolutely not- he literally chopped of the Eunuch's ear ear who very pompously brings him the edict but before he even opens his mouth to read it ,our XZ bloods up his entire face and sends him on his merry way 🤣🤣 It's just Changyu hears about it from LiHuan in who's kinda trying to break them completely apart ,but she is so sweet - before that she told herself it's what it was however painful but that night our baby gril cries her eyes out - I cried with her the first time I read.
I can't describe how this novel did the angst- the reasons behind it ,the anguish, the desperation, the actual work put into the whole groveling 🤧🤧o h m y g o o d n e s s ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
